The whole 'Yeah I lost to their Jungler, not Soraka' thing was precious. You hear Zwag talk a lot about: - Who the enemy jungler is - When they are likely to gank - Where the enemy jungler is - Where his own jungler is - Which side of the Lane he should sit on - Whether it's safe to push up, or look for plating But yeah, you lost mid because the enemy jungler was so good that they knew they should gank a half health Talon pushed deep in mid. No shade to the Poppy, it was executed well, it just doesn't take a rocket surgeon to know that was a good time to gank mid.
That's literally every ezreal or vayne in the game. I swear vayne and ezreal are just adhd meds in mobile form... they do nothing and think they're skilled, do everything and think the team is trash 🤣

Soraka's old kit got even better when you realize you could self-cast E to just be your own mana battery. You'd have zero kill power in lane unless the enemy dived you at 200-275 health, but you'd be able to push infinitely.
Season 1 to 3 Soraka mid was OP as hell. Self healing, self mana sustain, a silence, spammable Q which reduced the enemy's magic resist. She could bully virtually any AP champ out of lane in the early game. She was hard countered by AD champs like Caitlyn though.
Ngl, the first kill was beautifully calculated. The use of q to get him to step into ur E. Just perfection. And the 2nd kill was so smooth too. Still you got turbo lucky with like the 9 hp, but all in all I skill gapped him so flippin hard
Never use your E alone to poke, use it straight away after Q so you can root them in the Q slow. Put a point un your W instead of two in E, W can secure ganks and early teamfights, and you also double the Q movement speed when using W on an ally. Example is the early teamfight you lost for not having a point in W. Still very good game
Wow. I've actually played a decent amount of Soraka but that advice was still very useful. I'm actually really stupid. Why did I not think of using E after Q? I mean I did do that anyway but I never actively thought about how the Q being the thing that secured the root lol.
God damn thats a very good advice, I play a little bit of Lux and the other day I was teaching one of my friends that you can do something similar with Lux E and Q, because not always would you want to initiate with Q, why? Because you can slow them using your E, then you can Q to have better chances of hitting it rather than throwing it alone. Thank you for that comment!
to be fair, soraka beats pretty much everyone but Velkoz and Xerath mid (they have too much range and poke that you can't get off a Q to self heal since they never let you close enough). The problem is that even when she wins lane her damage still falls off. But supports are dangerous early-mid game and not enough people respect that.

I started playing soraka mid before Riot remaked the character, look, free mana from E, insane healing on W and R, and godly damage on Q, She was one shotting whole mob wave, It was sooo overpowered, but everybody kept blaming me, saying I'm troll and often report me even if I literally won the game with 30 kills and maybe 3 deaths :D
Okay so this is the first video I've seen from you and I'm a raka main, I take her sup, mid & top. Here are some tips I've picked up if you ever decide to do this again: First, you're on the right track with the w but not quite there. You want to put two levels into q first yes but when you can only level W or E *always* go for w. There is really no reason to upgrade e at all. Plus, w is quite good for your jungler when they gank your lane! Next, you abusing your AAs is the right way to go! But with better runes & items surrounding her AAs you get way more value especially early game. I take PTA with a core build of Galeforce, Stormrazor & IE with Berserker's Greaves or my more common build *closer to what you were trying in the video* Summon Aery instead of AC, bc your heals and aery does a good amount of dmg to the enemy anyhow. core build- Ionian Boots of Lucidity, Moonstone Renewer, Mejai's Soulstealer & late buy Relic Shield when laning phase is over. Playing Soraka solo remains one of the only ways I can still have fun playing this game. The early game is SO oppressively and yet people just can't seam to comprehend it. They just stand there taking the damage because you're "just a Soraka". Also I usually take heal 4th or 5th level just because it can help junglers and any early group fights.
Great video Zwag, this build is pretty good on the early and mid but you fall off a cliff late game I feel, that's is why I build redemption third item and warmogs fourth. Stay safe.

Iirc every time soraka has existed as a solo laner, she's always been a monster bruiser, usually stacking burns with raw defensive stats. Especially against top laners, hypercarries and assassin's where her early game power can shut them down before they can get going.

As a support main I often put mid 2nd because it's the least likely role for me to get / easiest for me to trade out. Soraka mid has always been a pocket pick of mine. Just so insanely easy to play and do decent with. Edit: Everfrost Soraka. I'd usually take tear for the possibility of late game scaling. Ap/Ap/HP runes then warmogs 2nd. After that point i provide a decent amount of CC through roots/slows and infinite sustain to my team. It's not going to deal a ton of damage (soraka usually wont) but you end up being a very reliable 2nd support.
