Great video Steven. This is a nice comprehensive and organized list for the species that really helps me in my mind keep things a bit more organized mentally. This is very useful and a great visual aid to go along with the discussion. Well done.
I’m a little distracted by the adorable snoots poking out and looking at you on your right at the very beginning 😂😂😂 like ‘um excuse me, aren’t we just as cool as a scrub?’
Great job with this video. Showing the snakes and where they are located on the map has finally allowed my brain to grasp what is what. I’m going to rewatch your interview with Daniel Natusch to challenge this understanding. Best of luck with your breeding this year.
I feel like clastolepis and amethistina are approximately the same max length, but clastos are typically thicker and therefore "bigger" at that size...

Thanks man!! I’m glad you liked the video!
Thank you for this great(est?) video on this particular subject! As someone who's in love with all python species, I could watch this for hours!
I’m glad you liked it! A video like this about Scrubs was long overdue in my opinion.
Wow! What an awesome and educational video!!! I love to see more "niche" animals talked about, and any deeper dive video is even better haha!
Thank you! One of my main goals is to put out good content on some more obscure species.
Excellent video Steven! I look forward to more scrub content from you!
Thanks, Lisa! 😁

Thank you! That interview definitely opened my eyes, particularly with the mainland southern amethistina.
Appreciate the video boss! Just got my first pair of scrubs (halmahera) would love to see more videos on them and the other island localities🙏
That’s awesome! I’ll definitely be making videos diving deeper into each locality type individually.
This is super helpful Steven. Thanks for making this video!
Of course! I’m glad it was helpful for you!
Incredible job on this video! Your presentation was brilliant, comprehensive and your examples are simply gorgeous. Love the room too!
Thank you! The Spilotes in the background always steal the show 😆

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Great video
Thank you!!
AWESOME!!!!!
Thanks man!!
Fantastic video, Steven. Are there any populations known to exhibit insular dwarfism? Love the differentiation between locality and locality-types.
Thank you! The Tanimbar Scrubs (S. nauta) do. Typical adult size is 6-7 feet, with exceptional individuals reaching upwards of 9.
Would really enjoy a video about those amazing spilotes in the background. Amazing animals
Spilotes videos are most certainly coming!
Hi from Indiana, we just subscribed, great video!
Thank you!!🙏🏼
What kind of species is the snake in the back crawling around? Very beautiful also! Moluccan are so nice😍
Those are Mexican Tiger Ratsnakes (Spilotes mexicanus). They’re always super curious while I’m making videos 😆
I like snakes.
Hey same! 😃
I like turtles
😍😍😍

Ayyy thanks man!!
Show US your biggest scrub😁✌️🙏.
Amethistina are the second biggest scrubs i think, bigger then mollucan.
My Amethistina are maybe 4m
My largest snake at the moment is actually a Moluccan! I had a larger Barneck in the past though who was 14 feet long.
