Storm has an issue with a consistent release schedule, they’re trying to do Street Fighter Alpha 3 (which is my favorite Street Fighter game) and that game has 40 characters, Storm hasn’t even released a complete roster for Street Fighter 2 in the 5 or so years since the release of SF2 Ryu, and that game only has 17 characters by comparison and is short 4 characters. Jada on the other hand in less than 2 years has shown off the entire roster and has released over half of it.
Storm should make 1/12 SNK figures like those from KOF, Fatal Fury, etc., rather than just Street Fighter. It would give us collectors more options to buy and fit into fighting game displays.
i personally love competition, because this should keep Jada's pricing. i just noticed that some of my local sellers (i'm from Asia btw) are increasing their prices.
If I can get them, I'll happily get a few Storm Street Fighter figures, because there are some Alpha characters I want. But I'll just be adding them to my Jada collection. But won't be buying all of them.
It's gonna be an uphill climb for storm since jada had a full year head start...anyways its gonna be real interesting these two companies going head to head...
As a person with multiple Masterpiece level Optimus Prime from different 1st and 3rd parties I have no problem buying the same types of figs from different companies and I had assumed this is what all collectors did but from alot of the replies here it seems I'm in the minority. Also companies have announcement windows of what they can and can't talk about with products, this stuff is set in stone. If they aren't talking about something if means they can't talk about it. It's nothing personal it's just business.
If I were choosing how they revealed these, and I could still only pick 2 characters, I would've gone with Charlie and Sakura: they won't be in the USF2 line, and people who have the Jada figs can get them to fit with the line. I say this as someone who definitely wants 6-inch Alpha versions of Ryu and Ken, since those are the designs they had in most of the MvC games.
For my own opinion I think the reason why Storm did this because no one buys them much anymore because of their expensive line and they should have done that 1/12 SF in the first place before Jada. Jada SF line have flaws they're not perfect they're kind of using training wheels right now because they used to make metal cars they didn't used to make action figures and now that they're doing it there's going to be a learning curve however what they've produced is astounding for the price point 25 bucks you can't get a better figure from any company selling right now so I stay with Jada.
storm figure look good ive seen the pictures but im already so far in street fighter jada line, i dont wanna spend the money, unless i just take ken and ryu and put them alone, and not in my marvel vs street fighter 2 shelf
I've loved everything the Jada Street 2 collection so far. From a what I've seen from the figures are way too expensive. I haven't seen anything 30 or under.
Jada is taking far too long to release new figures. Too many repaints to get excited and why are they still dragging their feet on the next wave...? Hopefully this forces them to get the lead out.
I wouldn't worry if I were you. We came to watch you and hear your opinion so that means your opinion is just as valid. That said I have no idea why so many people are perfectly fine waiting years for something they want to be available. I really want it when I see the prototype. Not Hot Toys years later.. I'm STILL waiting on that '66 Batmobile they showed in 2012.. My kids will be out of college by the time it comes out.. Looks like Cammy will take that long as well..
in two years jada has knocked out half of the cast. how long you think storm will take to catch up (in 6” versions)? cammy, dee jay, and the bbts bison all drop this month so whats not fast enough?
Jada has *released* exactly 5 characters : Bison, Ryu, Ken, Chunl li and Fei Long. That's 'half the cast'..? Really? 🤔 Last I checked that's not even half the number from the back of the box : and THAT has the repaints on it.. I get it: you're a fan. Good for you. But facts> feelings..
I was thinking the same thing but I'm already on board with jada because they came at us with a reasonably price. Storm looks good but what's the pricing. Jada should do some dc and mortal kombat.
@@RichyFigs I know you said they'll be comparable to Jada on price, but I saw another vid that mentioned the new Storm figs will be $30-35. Some might say that's nothing, but if true it's money I can put toward another figure.
The new Storm figs look like they'll have a high quality sculpt and finish. That said some their other "jumbo sized" Street fighter figs have gappy torsos. Not all of them pose as well as Jada's. I'm not a fan of the holes in the elbow and knee joints either. Also some of them creak like an old gate. I do like the rubbery neck cover that moves with the ball joint. Jada's are silky smooth and look good too.
They should look decent together ... personally I don't like Jada's Ken and Ryu... however happy to get a stellar cheap Jadas' Dahlsim ... I got almost all figuarts sf figures, lets see what figuarts move is going to be? Storm's Ryu and Ken look decent.. however I would prefer figuarts vega, blanka ... for the 30 Dollar price point 😂
"No interviews from Juhn... It seems a little bit quieter" -- I don't understand what you expect to hear from Jada every week or month? You're still going to complain about release dates if Jada provided "updates" every week or month about tooling. And Jada hasn't been quiet, they're actively doing releases for their primary line which is their cars. They've been active on social media at car events in Japan and LA. For context and comparision- Mafex, SHFiguarts, Storm Collectibles, and Mezco DON'T DO ANY SOCIAL MEDIA INTERVIEWS AT ALL. They just release photos or show up with prototypes at Cons and provide release dates. And we wait. We never get any updates or hear from a company representative do any interivews and these companies have been around for over a decade. You expect too much from a SMALL company that barely started doing action figures under two years now. Juhn gave us dates-- now we wait. That's it. We will get these figures and I don't care if Jada delays. Every video you put out its always: We don't hear from Jada! what's with these release dates?
I was more going off to last year. If you look there was way more interviews with Juhn. I’ve only had a year with this. So that last year so all I have for comparison. So compared to last year there have been way less TH-cam interviews. 2nd if you don’t like my takes then don’t watch. Simple 💯
@@AllistairMcCray he could say a ton. How far along they are. Expected timeline. How production had been going. Plans outside of the normal roster they may have.
