I had the pleasure of flying the 57 from both seats. One of my faves. A lot of today's pilots equate the new stretched 737 variants with the 757. As if having the same fuselage and number of seats somehow makes them "equal". Utter horseshit. The 57 was a beast. It got off the ground quickly and stopped upon landing even quicker. It had phenomenal short-field performance for such a big plane. The idiotic landing speeds of the guppy will tell you everything that's wrong with it. And the guppy cockpit is absolutely horrid.
The passengers on the left side must have had quite the view of the sea when the PIC turned around! The 757's engines are like turbo. You can feel this amazing power on the takeoff run.
