- Building the Bristol Blenheim Mk IF by AIrfix in 1:72 scale. This was a fun model to build, with nice fit and relatively good details. It's OOB (out of the box), so nothing really special in this build. I know I made some mistakes, feel free to leave a comment.
Just found this one - wish I'd seen it 6 weeks ago before building my first Mk 1 - had all sorts of trouble getting the cockpit/canopy to fit right. Really enjoyed your video - thanks for sharing.
And thank you for watching :)
Very nice. Don't think I have the patience for all that canopy/cockpit masking. Beautiful build.
Thank you!
Your videos are so relaxing. Keep up the good work
Thank you :) I'll try :)
Very nice little build, just bought my first Blenheim 1/72 mk1 so interesting to see how she gos together. Thanks happy modelling.
Thanks, you too!
Me too!
Great job, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent job. I remember as a kid using rubber bands and clothespins, ahaaa the memories.
Some things never change :) Clothespins are and will always be a model-builder's best friends! Thank you for the kind words!
I’m not sure how this hasn’t gotten more views, great job!
Thank you! I hope in time it might get more...
Gidday from Western Australia. Just discovered your channel, watched the typhoon video and subscribed. Nice work, and look forward to new videos.
Thank you very much! greetings to Western Australia! :)

Very nice work a great looking Blenheim especially the painting and weathering. Great video compilation and presentation as well. I recently built the same kit and throughly enjoyed it. Subscribed to your channel.
Thank you! I subscribed to you as well. Nice vids :)
Where did you get that cordless and tankless airbrush? Thx
Greg
Great video.
The airbrush isn't cordless; The air hose is simply not shown.. as for "tankless", all gravity-fed airbrushes have the same 3-8ml tank on top. I got mine from a nameless provider in China through a well known site.. ;) Thank you for watching.
Fantastic!! My friend, help me with two questions: 1´- What was the color used to make the smoke effect?? 2.- What was the size of the airbrush used, 2mm?? Thansk!
Usually I create the smoke effect with very thinly diluted (10% paint - 90% solvent) black or black + brown paint. The Airbrush was indeed a 0.2 mm one. Thank you for watching! :)
Yay airfix put a pilot in there
What is the black stuff called you used to do the seam lines please.
Great job!! Looks fantastic
Thank you. I guess you are referring to the Tamiya panel line accent color... It's a type of wash, mainly for pin-washes, made by Tamiya. Comes in other colors too.
@@wbpsmodels3452 I never know how long to let panel line washes dry for. Also, is your cotton bud dry when you wipe off the excess, or do you use white spirit? I find I end up removing the base colour if I use that. Great video btw!
@@tonyounsworth7904 If the was is oil based, let the paint dry for about 30 mins before wiping with a dry cloth or a very very lightly dampened cloth for stubborn areas. The oil won't dry for days so you have plenty of time to wipe it clean.
I know when I started I made the mistake of drenching my wipes with excess thinner and literally wiped the paint away from the surface!
Great stuff. I like the use of the multi screen. Clever.
Thank you :)
Great Blenheim! Very nice work!
Many thanks! :)
Nicely done!
Thanks!
This Blenheim was briefly a surprise success story as a stop-gap, radar-equipped night fighter despite its poor performance and feeble armament of just four 303s.
Very nice work. I'll give you a subscription. I wish you well. Greetings. Aleš From the Czech Republic.😎👍
Thank you very much!
Very nicely done, and who doesn't make mistakes?
I certainly do... Lots of them! Thanks for watching! :)
Very good job, enjoyed watching this
Thank you ! :)
Awesome work.
Thank you very much! :)
People with these fancy airbrushes, I'll stick to my paintbrush!
I'm in the hand painted club myself
AMAZING OMG
Good done, with some more months of practisinh you should be great modeller. All the best for You!
Thank you very much! All the best to you too! :)
Nice work there pal.
Does the wife know you've pinched the plate from the microwave to airbrush on?
Good idea though!
Thank you :) I'm a lucky one.. no wife ;)
@@wbpsmodels3452 😂👍
Lower your airbrushes psi to 14 or 15 when painting in between panels and the paint won’t spray.
Thank you for the tip. :)

Well done
Thank you! :)
was a time when Airfix always had flight crews, what happened ???
It still does... I simply prefer not to use them unless I absolutely have to... 1:72 pilot figures are hardly worth spending time on and in most cases their detail (or lack thereof) is gruesome and not worth the time.
Прекрасная модель.
Thank you!
@@wbpsmodels3452 Правда мне Мк - 1 не ,зашел,...поэтому собрал Мк - 4...Мне он больше нравится!
Great job you are good what music by the way
Thank you very much. The music was downloaded from youtube studio, it's public domain.
Very nice job but you could work on your camera positioning. A lot of the time all we could see was the back of your hand.
Thank you. It was my second vid, I was still searching for angles. I fixed it on the subsequent ones. (I hope)
Can you lost where you get your stuff from? That goopy stuff for paint lines, airbrush etc. Thx.
That stuff for paint lines falls under the category of "blue tack" and is usually found in stationary shops. The airbrush is a cheap chinese one.. as for the rest of the materials, I usually buy them from local model shops here in Athens, Greece.
Sanding your fingers would make them look better as well
Nice work, the music was nice but a nodded off once or twice.
It's not exactly uplifting music, true... lol

Airfix treat their customers like shit.
Why do you say that?
@@wbpsmodels3452 The moderators on their own site as well as sites they endorse treat their customers poorly. Very disrespectful.
