Les herbes de Provence are a mix of Rosemary, oregano, savory, thyme, basil and also wild thyme, marjoram, chervil, tarragon, lovage, sage, bay leaf sauce, fennel. It's rarely fresh mostly dry herbes. We use it in tomato sauce, pizza, meat... in so many things ! It's a must have in every french kitchen !

What a blessing you are to your parents and family, Jamie! I loved all of your organization choices! You were so thoughtful to clean the hard-to-reach areas like the tops of the cabinets and the trash drawer. I line the bottom of mine with the non-sticky shelf liner so I can roll up and toss in between cleanings. I also love the Lazy Susan idea for the cleaning products. I have that under my sink and it has been a game-changer and keeps me from buying extra things I already have and don’t need. It’s so easy to find products I need without digging or knocking over things, like you mentioned. I also like the container you used for the dishwasher tabs. I use it under my sink and also for bath and craft supplies! You are such a joy and inspiration to watch and have so much energy, lol. You’ve saved your parents so much time. I was wondering if you can find out where they got their rug in the foyer and the white wire basket in the kitchen and also what their counters are. They’ve got amazing taste in decor. They have such a gorgeous home and it seems so serene in their porch as well. Your parents must be so proud of you!

@Jamie's journey Hi from France ! Herbe de provence pronounced herb duh provance. It's mixed spice with oregano, thyme, rosemary and savory. It's a specialty from south of the France and used for grill meal and fish. Thank you for the cleaning motivation.

I have to watch your video to get some bost of motivation. That's how I talked my kitchen last night. It was a disaster. 2 full sinks of dirty dishes and my stove with several pots and pans all dirty.
I have the same spice jars & love them! I kept the extra labels & the great value organic spices are the exact same jars, so I just replace the label when I get a new spice! (I only get the organic for the jar, then refill with a bulk bottle)

Those Walmart containers are AWESOME. They’re the exact Flip Tite containers that are on Amazon, and Bed Bath & Beyond and At Home and a few other places sell them too under a brand called Felli. I use them in my pantry and they’re definitely air and water tight, just be sure to hand wash them.

I’m in love with that spice drawer! I would need 3 of those for all my spices but would love that. I need my kitchen redone, we moved from a four bedroom three floor farmhouse with a huge kitchen into a one bedroom with a medium size poorly designed kitchen when our kids left home. If your ever in WA state you have a job😉 This looks amazing good job!!

Thank you for the good tip on the WalMart containers! I will be getting some of those; you're right, they are SO pricey! I got a nice set from Amazon but they were not as large as I expected, which is fine, I can use them for other things; but I am glad to see these larger ones for flour, sugar, etc.
"Hebes de province " is a mix of many herbs like rose mary , oregano, sage .... dried of corse , the name is french , the herbs, if it s a good quality brand , are wild , means farmers and rural people collect it from the montains ... it s used in most mediterreneean dishes whatever lamb, chicken, pasta or even fish! It gives dishes yummy flavor, taste and smell.

Looks very good! I’ve been wanting to organize my mom’s kitchen for months now but then the pandemic hit and everything was placed on hold. I’m glad I’m getting to watch you do it first because I see it will be no easy task and I should first go in and see what I’m working with. I have those Walmart canisters and they hold up. I like them so much more than the OXXO canisters. I can’t wait for next week’s video!!

From Judy in Australia 🇦🇺. Provence is a region in France. I would say you have a mixture of herbs which grow naturally in that region. We probably call it mixed herbs and spices and would add it to soups, stews and casseroles. ❤️🇦🇺

Herbes de Provence come from the south of France (plural with the « s »). You use them for dishes with everything southern : tomatoes, bell peppers, ognions... and chicken!

You're a good daughter and role model for your girls. Love those cabinets though I would have too many places to look for things. Caught glimpses of a feline pet, love cats, can you maybe get a better picture of him or her? Used similar set of spice jars to redo our spice collection. Looks nice and easier to find. We have more spices so we did alphabetize them. Spice cupboard hasn't ever been so organized. 😃

We use herbes de provence ( translation is literally herb of Provence which is the region where I live in the south of france ) in practically everything here in france.
I would move the silverware drawer across from the dishwasher. I would have place the larger Costco/Sams bottles on the second shelf ...placed the extra spices you didn't decant on other shelf as well or get larger bottles.

Trying to finish watching your video I've been working n cleaning doing my laundry! Sometimes you can find Bathrooms organizers that work all through out your house also for your closet have you ever used the Hanging cloth organizers fit clothes I love those! I hang my clothes plus fold them of course I have alot of dressers too😎😎 put some air fresheners in your garbage drawer also put few dryer sheets in your trashcan before you put the bag in😎😎
