Hey all of my wonderful TH-cam friends! 😍I hope this video gives you PLENTY of pantry organizing ideas, no matter what size pantry you have! Make sure to download the graphic I included in the description, that gives you step-by-step instructions on how to EASILY organize ANY pantry! I hope I can make this process as easy as possible for you!
It was a joy watching and listening to you talk your a joy and so helpful. You wiped everything clean and scolded no one about but should it use a perfect time.
Fabulous ideas I needed to buy more organizing needs. Cans especially. I finally how I will find so much space. Can't wait to go shopping so I can continue organizing all rooms now. Ty so very much
Here is another tip. When storing things like pancake mix in a container that it did not come in, cut directions off of the box, place the directions inside a ziplock sandwich bag and slide it down the inside of the container (with the direction side facing out).

The only thing I'd adjust is putting the labels of the "rice" "potato" multipurpose holders on their side so when you pull them out you can see the name of each bin, rather than having the label blocked by the bin in front of it. Eitherwise, looks sharp!
Nice job - I just wonder how many people viewing this have pull out drawers - wish I did! My pantry has a regular narrow (17”) door on hinges with 3”- 4” waste on each side. It is 30” deep, which makes it perfect for hiding/losing items in the back!! I do use the Better Homes and Gardens clear containers with white snap on lids - they have been helpful, especially when I lay the tallest ones on their sides and label the tops! (I can stack 2 or 3 on top of each other) I also have searched for long, narrow sturdy bins that can hold lighter items so I can slide them like drawers. (Right now I’m using boxes) Under Bed containers are too wide! I also use the same lazy Susan’s - considering using them in the back of each shelf and putting the box in front. I label in the front on each shelf
Your first tip about starting with a fully-stocked pantry was spot on. Too often we pick a random day and forget to account for growth. I organized my mom's pantry, but she doesn't quite understand that it isn't a once-and-done job. Great job on this. I'm sure your parents were so excited.
For me this is one of your BEST VIDEOS to date! Your Mom and Dad have to be thrilled with the results!! I am getting ready to redo my small closet pantry and I learned so much from you today. What I learned today was to have a "full pantry " and to measure and have all your containers before you start to organize! Thank you for all the tips and motivation !🥰
Just a tip my mother taught me when I was very young. I move any items such as canned goods, boxed goods, spag. sauces, in the front of the cupboard that need to be used up first (check use by dates) if you have multiples of the same item.
I've had the BHG locking clear storage set for about 5 years, they all still work, and sent 2 to college w son for storing snacks in dorm. Love them!!!!
Finally seeing a pantry makeover with real food in it. Usually they only have cereal, some pasta, baking and loads of snacks and I’m asking “where’s the food?” You did an awesome job on the pantry in an amazingly beautiful kitchen. I have a square deep pantry and I double stack as well. I’m mostly the only one that cooks and I know where everything is so I don’t label that much. Just keep like with like. My Only suggestion (and this is my OCD speaking) is I would have put the spaghetti sauce at the very front with the pasta bin behind it then the Mac n chz next with taco bin in the back. I was very happy that you moved the extras to another location. That was bugging me. Was thinking it was all taking up valuable real estate.
I am so jealous of anyone who has a full pantry or even a dedicated cupboard like this! I live in an old house without a lot of storage, so we have to take up some our regular kitchen cabinets for food storage. The one good thing that comes out of it is we don't have a lot of backups or bulk items, which we really don't need for just two people who grocery shop weekly.
@@timekabolden5309 same issue here..Also, not alot of space for shelving units in my kitchen. I wish whoever installed my cabinets should have made a lazy susan in the corner cabinet. It has a very small opening maybe the width of two cereal boxes and it opens up with one shelf and it goes all the way back where you are unable to reach in the back. It's not a very useful space at all.
Hi Jamie! I did my pantry with those Container Store multi purpose bins more than 3 years ago and my pantry still looks the same (organized). They are VERY affordable and keeps your space clean and organized! Great video!
Thanks so much for this video. I also appreciate you doing videos for small spaces or small homes. There is a need for videos for organizing small homes. Most TH-camrs have big homes but some subscribers have small homes.
I've been looking online for bins for my deep freezer. I'm definitely going to be checking out the container store now. I found those can organizers at goodwill and picked them up to house my hubby's soda. Makes it easier for me to see when he needs more.
When I was growing up, 1960’s, 70’s, we lived in a custom built home (Our neighbor was from Italy and his brother built our home and lived in it until my parents bought it in the 40’s. Two totally different homes.) from the 1920’s. No pantry. We always used the cabinets and drawers for everything we used all the time. The cabinets went to the ceiling with no soffit. We did have a broom closet which I have never had in a home since and miss very much. We have lived in a home built in 1949, for the last 20 years now and bought a tall narrow cabinet like your parents to use as a pantry. I really enjoyed this video, it makes so much more since to arrange things like that. I’m going to see what I can do with our way overstuffed pantry now that I’ve seen what you’ve done! I’m curious to know why you put the spaghetti/marinara sauce in the back of the cabinet, since they use it a lot, instead of pushing everything back and having it in the front where it’s easier to access? I thought it might be for cohesiveness. It bothered me thru the rest of the video. Also, if your mom is shorter, shouldn’t the cereal they use everyday be in the middle or bottom drawers for easier access? Interested in hearing your thoughts on those things. Just my opinion.
Professional organizer tip… Never go shopping until after you clean purge and sort like items you wind up filling the containers you buy instead of having the correct amount and correct sizes for what you need
Organizing Di clutters the mind!! So beautiful on the eyes. I can’t handle different cans mixed together! Corn in corn row, peas with peas etc. I’m doing one drawer n cupboard a day! It really feels great opening a organized drawer / cupboard
I was sooo excited for this video! My "pantry" is literally one long shelf under the bar area of my kitchen. So these tips are great for me. Im definetly getting a couple lazy susans. And i use the space on top of the fridge for our cereal and chip containers. Thanks for the tips!!!
I absolutely love all those multipurpose bins from the Container Store! I have everything all over the house in them! I even have the cans and they fit perfectly in them. You did a great job helping your parents! LOVE this job!
I moved to a smaller house not too long ago. After unpacking everything now the biggest task is to get organized :( In my former 3 bedroom house, I had a huge, deep pantry. It addressed all my storage needs. Moving to a 2 bedroom house with no pantry, I ended up using the closet in the 2nd bedroom as a temporary pantry until I figure out what to do. So far, I managed to set up a section of my kitchen to be a baking area. The 2 upper shelves stored my baking supplies and the cabinets below stored all my bakeware. I re purposed a wooden cart I found in the street, I now have a coffee bar. During the 2 day Amazon sale, I bought plastic bins to organize the freezer of a 20 cubic feet refrigerator. Thanks to my work schedule I haven't gotten to it yet. I guess the greatest challenge of an organization project is finding the right container that would fit an existing space. I wanted transparent but couldn't find the right narrow, tall bins. I ended buying white bins meant to hold school stuff. Sigh... Back to my pantry... while I wanted to get bins, or airtight containers I am hesitant for the reason that my existing system are basically re purposed or upcycled. For example my spice jars are baby jars I got for free from a previous cleaning job. They look so cute with vintage lettering I downloaded online. I store dry beans of different types, other dry goods like chia seeds, dry mushrooms, cinnamon sticks, rock sugar etc in spaghetti bottles of the same brand. They actually look nice catering to a cottage theme. I just feel so bummed out because I haven't figured out yet how to organize the other stuff in my pantry. Oh yeah, to make matters worse I am short so the 2nd tier of the shelving going up, I need a ladder. Anyways I am going to finish watching your video hoping I could get some inspiration.
I to am jealous of your parents have such of a wonderful daughter.you are so good at everything you do.l enjoy all your videos you are truly a awesome lady.much love your way.
I love the Container Store Multi-Purpose bins. I have quite a few of them in my pantry. I also keep my kitchen towels in them. I even use them my laundry room and in my bathrooms. The small ones are the perfect size to store Clorox toilet want refills. They are a very reasonably priced and come in several sizes. One thing... my local CS has them in the office organization section of the store, so you may not find them in the kitchen section.
Wow that is a huge kitchen with lots of cabinets for storage. My dad built me a large rotating can cabinet, similar to the rotating can organizers you used but it is a huge cabinet that will holds over 150 cans of different sizes and the cabinet is in 2 parts so it is easy to mover when we sell our house. And I have over 3 months of food in long term prepper storage that will last for 10 to 25+ years and we do bulk shopping to save money & to make sure if there is an emergency (tornado, power outage, job loss etc) we will have months of food already on hand.
I am loving it. We have a big family and I have the small pantry then the big over flow and my baking cabinet my husband built the last two . Plus our grandkids have their own snack shelves . Your pretty awesome for doing that for your parents.
That looks awesome! You can also condense their pasta into containers and out of their boxes which will save a chuck of space too. But I know you said they wanted to keep some things in their boxes
Jamie this is one of the best kitchen organization videos I've ever seen! I loved all the ideas and pictures you included for pantries of all kinds. Awesome job 👍
In my last home -I moved the pull out shelves up and down within the pantry cupboards to accommodate my containers. As well as moved them around to gain another plain shelf. (If a pullout is at the bottom-and you were to move it up-you now gained a shelf underneath! I didnt do this for the very bottom of the cabinet, but sometimes there is a middle support shelf-you could easily utilize and it would be nearish eye height). It was so great-no money spent + more storage space!
Omgoodness I just saw your video and went to my kitchen and used for the first time my cabinet with the lazy Susan built in for my extras and now I have so much room in my slide out small pantry 😊I’m so happy ,Thank you for the idea😊
This is fantastic, Jamie!! It’s so awesome of you to do all this work for your parents! Now, can I hire you for a week to help me organize my entire house? Lol!! You’ve definitely motivated me to do better at organizing. Thank you for the motivation!!
You've done a fantastic job organizing for your parents. You're a wonderful daughter like my lovely daughter. This video has been so helpful as I've recently moved from an apartment with 2 full closet pantries to 1 with no pantry. I am trying to use as much vertical space as possible and will also use some of the organization tools you've shown. Thank you so much for sharing. It's so helpful.
Looks fabulous. I store my rice and flour in my freezer. I had a terrible problem with mele bugs that came in through my bags of rice and got into cereal and flour. Had to throw away a lot. Storing in freezer eliminated problem.
I love those sleigh-shape bins!! IDEA: slide the three toward back to create a pocket of space up front for something special that goes with the sides...oh! You put the marinara in the back. That works!! ☺️
I agree with you about shopping online. Some of the best containers cannot be found in Target or even BBB. The Sunday Stylist (from Australia) uses one of my favorite organizers. It is a plastic bin with a handle. I needed to organize my plastic containers I use for freezing soup, spaghetti sauce, gumbo etc etc. I was using a corner cabinet which means they would be hard to reach. I’m also short. These plastic bins were perfect in size and shape. I ordered them from Kmart which we no longer have in our area. You did an excellent job on organizing your parents’ pantry.
We have their same sized pantry and do have pull out, but they are the wire pull out. I think the wooden pull outs would be much nicer, but at least we can get into ours with the wire pulls outs too.
A good trick when washing bins that you want to use right away is to dry first with a towel and then get your blow dryer and dry any droplets of water left.
Thank you for making playlists! Even your videos are organized! I love finding out about new products, whether they're for organizing or cleaning. I hope you take breaks if you ever get burnt out, or make different kinds of videos. You give 1000% in everything you do. No need to reply, I don't want to give you more work haha.
My favorite youtuber nailed this one . . . love it!!! This organization just saved your parents $$ when grocery shopping now. I did an overhaul too a few months back and love it.
Seriously you are amazing you are a beautiful woman and I like your style of life and your all your activities I like you very much i support you everyday.I'm naima from Algeria .🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
Love when you go to your parents house and help organize! We have a small pull out pantry and it’s like really small and skinny if that makes sense and we keep our spices in there and with our other foods etc we keep it in our cabinet and the rest in a boxes in the living room in the back corner
Bah, so annoyed - I haven't been able to get through this video yet as I keep getting interrupted! I will definitely persevere as I need all the ideas I can get for our little pantry once we get our cabinets/counter replaced!
Your parents' pantry looks great! Thanks for the reminder that I have to switch the cereal to my Tupperware container. I also have a basket to add to the pantry for some items.
Ciao Jamie ,che belle idee mi hai dato per organizzare la mia dispensa. Grazie 🤩 mi fa piacere ascoltarti mentre illustri il video o parli della tua bella famiglia.A presto e ciao dall'Italia 😘😘
Hi Jamie,I just ordered those clear containers with handles.Im going to be useing them for my linen closet and under my kitchen sink. Cant wait until they get here!
Thank you so much for this. I have looked everywhere for something on how to organise a tiny pantry and your parents' is exactly the same as mine. I've just spent up big on amazon to implement some of these ideas. Greatly appreciated.
When dealing with food it should be first in first out functional. In this case the older pancake mix went to the bottom of the bin and new on top. Also how does this work for the mixed cans on the racks? Don’t they have to pull out a bunch of cans to get to what they need?
I use these similar can holders. I use very many different canned good. I do not keep many same item cans. If I need something that is on the bottom I just pull the cans in front of the needed can and set the unwanted ones to the top where they roll down again. It is easier and faster to roll a couple of cans than to try to find a can behind piles of cans in the back of the cabinet.
I was thinking the same things. She also opened unopened cereal. They could've worked on eating what was already open and maybe had one container to spare for the granola if it was already open. I guess she tried though. 🤷🏼♀️ If they asked for her help then it's nice. Also some people don't have to worry as much about waste and having to buy more when something goes bad.

I take a pic and store in my notebook app. Nice to keep all my directions and recipes in one spot.
I actually do this!
I use a self sticking see through pocket on the outside of the bin. Then if I change the use, I can just swap out the directions.
@@whitestone4401 where do you get the clear label pockets from and what size do you use?
I am so happy you wash all your new containers before use, because some put their food without washing 🤢

This video has been so helpful as I've recently moved from an apartment with 2 full closet pantries to 1 with no pantry. I am trying to use as much vertical space as possible and will also use some of the organization tools you've shown. Thank you so much for sharing. It's so helpful.

What a great job you did. I bet your parents were very impressed and pleased.
They were!
Looks fabulous. I store my rice and flour in my freezer. I had a terrible problem with mele bugs that came in through my bags of rice and got into cereal and flour. Had to throw away a lot. Storing in freezer eliminated problem.
YES 🙌 I LOVE your parent house series🥰
Thank you!❤️
Yessss i clicked so fast lol I've been excited for this video!
Me too!
Same
Awww yay!! I hope you enjoyed it! ❤️
I love those sleigh-shape bins!! IDEA: slide the three toward back to create a pocket of space up front for something special that goes with the sides...oh! You put the marinara in the back. That works!! ☺️
Thank you!!
Thank you! 😍
We have their same sized pantry and do have pull out, but they are the wire pull out. I think the wooden pull outs would be much nicer, but at least we can get into ours with the wire pulls outs too.
Wowza… I never thought of the dispensing racks for canned goods!!!
A good trick when washing bins that you want to use right away is to dry first with a towel and then get your blow dryer and dry any droplets of water left.
One idea is to put the label on the sort end some containers, so you can see the label when sliding our the drawer. Nice ideas.
Thank you!!❤️
Oh how I wish I had seen this video before I decided yesterday to organize my pantry and kitchen!!! Would have been so helpful!
My favorite youtuber nailed this one . . . love it!!! This organization just saved your parents $$ when grocery shopping now. I did an overhaul too a few months back and love it.
Awww thanks girl!
Thank you so much for great idea's.. Trying to reorganize small cabinets
Once again you have done a great job with your mum and dads pantry. Thank you for sharing and giving us some inspiration
Thank you !🥰
I love this! So organized! Maybe in the bins behind the front ones, you could put a label on the side of the bins
Great job, what a fortunate Mom and Dad to have you do this for them!!!!! Thank you so much for the ideas, motivation and inspiration!!!!!!!
I agree! 😊
In COVID-19 times. Cleanliness and organization never hurts.
It would be great to have any size pantry. Just regular cabinets and just a few drawers.
Looks really nice I like the transformation with all the organizers you used. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Awww thank you!!🥰
Great idea, to put the cans stacked on bottom. So, if they fall. They don't have that far to fall & they might get that dented, if at all.
Love when you go to your parents house and help organize! We have a small pull out pantry and it’s like really small and skinny if that makes sense and we keep our spices in there and with our other foods etc we keep it in our cabinet and the rest in a boxes in the living room in the back corner
You definitely keep a lot in there!
@@JamiesJourney oh definitely and not just spices we also keep like our syrup and such too 😊
Bah, so annoyed - I haven't been able to get through this video yet as I keep getting interrupted! I will definitely persevere as I need all the ideas I can get for our little pantry once we get our cabinets/counter replaced!
Sorry you keep getting interrupted! I hope I gave you some good ideas!
Omg....girl! This was amazing and the music went with every scene. Your parents home is sooo gorgeous as usual. Even hubby watched with me 🤪🥰
I think their house is gorgeous too!
Loved the can storage. Would like to suggest you have the expiration dates facing out so you can always use the oldest cans first.
AWSOME video and I love love the kitchen, I love to cook and I always wanted a big kitchen.... God BLESS ya'll
Love this video. It's great to know those pantry tips. Thank you ❤️

Loving what you did! Better than my baskets. Now I am trying to work on my house to create what I need in it. 😀
Your parents' pantry looks great! Thanks for the reminder that I have to switch the cereal to my Tupperware container. I also have a basket to add to the pantry for some items.

Love what you did. We have that kind of pantry cupboards too.
I'd put the label on the side facing out rather than the front that you can't see. Good job!
❤ I love the pull out drawers in their pantry! I love organizing ❤ GO BILLS!!
Yes! Go Bills!

That is exactly like my pantry! I wasn’t sure how to tackle it, now I know. Thank you!!
You’re welcome!
Thank you so much for this. I have looked everywhere for something on how to organise a tiny pantry and your parents' is exactly the same as mine. I've just spent up big on amazon to implement some of these ideas. Greatly appreciated.
Glad I could help! 😊
Your parents have a beautiful home. I miss having food for my grandkids my youngest is 12 .
Yes, they do!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I have the exact same type of pantry and I am so excited to buy these products and get them organized.
Yay! I hope I helped!
When dealing with food it should be first in first out functional. In this case the older pancake mix went to the bottom of the bin and new on top. Also how does this work for the mixed cans on the racks? Don’t they have to pull out a bunch of cans to get to what they need?
She organized the cans by one type on bottom & another on top with 2 or 3 of another type on top layer if able to fit.
Jamie, I love seeing you organize your parents’ home! Great video! Have a good day! 😊 ❤️ 👍
Thank you! I hope you have a great day!
