Hearing the crowd roaring in a blowout loss is an amazing thing. This was one of those little moments that you remember decades after you forget the sting of the embarrassing loss. For all his faults, Sandoval really gave the fans a gift with this performance. Baseball needs more fun like this.
And no joke, he's like a quality slider away from being a legitimate relief pitcher. Sergio Romo dominated for a long time with an 86mph fastball he used mostly to establish the slider.

you still have to put into account that the Dodgers weren't really trying, they were up by 9 in the in the 9th. still, good curve and fastball, shit I can barely touch 40mph on a fastball.
I mean I reckon that they were still trying. Sure, their win was pretty much confirmed at that point, but those at-bats still count for statistics like Batting Average...

Bmoose Yeah, but 80% of hitters are like that. They had to make a time limit between pitches because some pitchers would take 45+ seconds to throw another pitch.
Good breaking ball, almost 12-6 break. A little firm at times but plays up to a 45 due to deception. I'd give him a 50 fastball too, high 80 heat with good movement (arm-side) and ability to paint both corners.

It's was a lop sided blowout game and this was the first game in a double header so they probably wanted to get this one over with and give the fans something to smile about at the end, but it was really fun watching Pablo pitch the 9th Inning as I didn't know he could pitch. Good curve ball!

I think more teams should this in blowout games. Cuz why not? Like Kruk and Kuip said. Its one way to reinvigorate the dugout and the ballpark. Its enjoyable and interesting to watch. Makes for a good time even in bad losses. You could tell even the Dodgers players and fans (peep those guys behind the plate) were enjoying this!
