No pattern! An easy way to connect various rectangles freely

- This is a simple pattern of connecting rectangles in various sizes, horizontally and vertically. Since it's a rectangle, you can easily sew it together without worrying about the corners coming together like you would with a square joint.
The key is to make the width of the tanzaku at the beginning larger than the width of the tanzaku set to be cut later!
As long as you keep that in mind, you can change the width of the tanzaku cut and the cut width of the tanzaku set as you like. I cut the set in two widths, 3.5cm and 4.5cm, to avoid monotony, but of course you can cut them all the same width. Of course, you can cut them all to the same width. It is OK just to shift the rectangle a little and connect it. Feel free to make your own in your favorite colors and sizes.
I used this quilt top to make a non-slip foot mat. The non-slip sheets hold it in place and keep it firmly in place, but the sheets are removable! This is a user-friendly mat. We hope you will take a look at it.
A tanzaku is a long and narrow strip of cloth.
This tanzaku mat comes in 5 different sizes: 4.5, 6, 7.5, 8 and 11cm wide.
Two cutting sizes for the single zaku set: 3.5cm and 4.5cm
Sewing allowance of 7.5mm quilt top sewing size approximately 50 x 60cm
