    Almost bought a 98” from Best Buy but ended up going with the 100” Hisense U70 at Costco. Free delivery and wall mounting plus $100 Google Play credit. I am very impressed with how good the Hisense looks. I was concerned about black levels because I am used to an LG C3 Oled, but the Hisense can hang with and for the size it’s unreal.

    It's funny that they're having a "sale" when if i want a 144Hz TV the TCL one is 2000$ CAD and the Hisense version U8N is 1500$ and RTINGS rates it better by a slight margin.

    Caleb. I respect the video but these prices are generally within the usual sales range for TCL throughout the year. I think I’m curious to see what Sansui does in the budget OLED this year. With the new models (I need to see the review for the 65) that’s what I’m more interested in. If the brightness is good enough that’s what I’m in for. If the TCL QM751G went down to $599 for the 65 I might bite then. Otherwise OLED all the way.

    • @Caleb_Denison
      @Caleb_Denison 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      As far as I’m aware, the 98-inch Q651G only dipped down to $1500 once before, and the didn’t have a TV of that quality down that low in price in 2023. Also, adjusting for inflation, I believe these really are the lowest they have priced their TVs at this time of year, ahead of actual close out sales. I asked them point-blank if this was the most aggressive sale they have ever run and they said yes, and by a fair margin (or lack thereof, LOL). I’m not into hyperbole for the sale of clicks, so I really tried to ensure this was the lowest I’ve seen them go before running with that headline. Thanks for your comment!

    • @Aceofthedynasty
      @Aceofthedynasty 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ I certainly believe you. I should have clarified that the sales were in range of the model size for what I’m looking for. I’ve seen the 65 inch for a few of these models for these prices several times. Black Friday. Christmas. Etc. the 98 inch I bet it’s the lowest ever. Esp with their newer models incoming this year. But yes thanks for the video! Can’t wait to see what Sansui does though and thanks for your review!

    Low/lower priced TVs is a great thing, but how long is any TV at any price going to last? Seems like they are ALL junk and some just a bit better than another. Everything is throw away junk these days. It is so rare to find someone to repair TVs now. Luckily I repair most of my own gear, but still sad for most everyone else. I can't remember the last time I have heard a manufacturer of anything make claims about how long lasting their products are.

    I bought the 85” TCLQM850G based on Caleb’s recommendation. It is amazing. The only downside to the tv is the way it handles slow panning shots. It produces a noticeable amount of stutter or judder. I don’t like messing with the motion settings so I just deal with it. Another issue I have with my 85” is that I have already gotten used to the size and now I’m looking to upgrade to a 98”. I just don’t know if I should go with the QM7 or QM8. I feel like the QM7 hits the right price to performance sweet spot at $2k but I’d feel like I’d be downgrading. QM8 will be a beast but I don’t know if I could justify that extra $1k premium. But then I’m also eyeing the 83” LG C4 lol.

    "only" $15k. Ooohkay. But yeah, Super Bowl clearance sales are GREAT!
    I needed something to replace a 50" 1080p Toshiba FireTV whose HDMI board is dying. Two different known working Roku Ultra's, multiple known good HDMI cables, and regardless which of that Toshiba's 3 HDMI inputs I tried I'm getting random video dropouts. Like, the audio is still playing just fine to my Sony sound bar, but the picture flicks in and out at random intervals. But other times it'll play for hours without a glitch. All while having no dropouts ever when using the native OS/apps, just that experience has become SO laggy with recent FireTV updates it had become unbearable (hence the Roku box).
    Being space restricted (stand is 35"W, space is 46"W), a 50" was my max. Having the BBY app on my phone, I'd gotten notifications Friday of a "big sale", and had literally gone and picked up a 50Q651G yesterday and the first video I see in my YT feed on powering it up and signing in is this one. So far a day later it's been great!

    According to the video, the 98" QM851G is on sale for $2,999.99, but the Amazon link has the TV costing $3,698.00. That's still $300 less than the QM8 cost before Christmas but still $699 more than claimed in the video. I see two likely reasons for the discrepancy. Either the video editor made a mistake and put the wrong sale price in the video, or the sale hasn't started yet.
    Caleb, is the video's price wrong, or has the insane sale not started yet? If the latter, when does it start? Also, if anyone was hoping to buy this TV to watch the "Big Game," according to the Amazon listing, the TV "Usually ships within 7 to 8 days." That means it won't arrive until after the game.

    I bought 2 x 65” TCL tv on same day. One of them spoilt after 1 year 10 days. My warranty only 1 year. The spoilt tv is setup with internet which can watch Netflix, Apple TV app etc. another same model don’t because only my tv box link to internet. I wonder is it due to internet send code tell my tv info my tv’s warranty is over, time to auto spoil it? Without internet linked still running great…..

    This is where I lost respect for you. It doesn't happen often. You can't make a video promoting TCL whilst sponsored by the "Chinese" brand TCL. If you don't have to pay workers and have zero regulations, you can get TVs cheap. This is a low for you. You'd never catch Vincent doing this. Money grab. I can see you as a wedding "musician". Hmm

      TCL North American TVs like Japanese and their South Korean TV brands are manufactured in Mexico. Cheap labor yes but not free labor. Watch some CNBC, read some business news and be informed. If TVs and other electronics were to be made in the United States, most people would not afford to buy them. American TV brands or any American electronics can't compete with East Asian brands in both price and quality.

      What model? I bought a 55 QM7 to replace my burnt out LG OLED, and couldn't be happier. Even when the OLED was brand new, I really think the QM7 has the better colors and HDR pop. The OLED shows banding on HDR sources that the TCL handles smoothly. Yes, I miss the total black and perfect contrast, but I wasn't going to pay $1900 again for small improvements.

      55Q671G is what I had. It was basically a Temu grade TV. The image was awful, grainy and washed out. It supposedly could boost games to 120hz, yet playing Xbox was the worst experience. It stuttered and lagged like I've never seen. I was attempting to replace my 16 year old Panasonic Vierra, which I'm now gonna keep until it fails. It still works and I've never appreciated it's image more after trying out a TCL.
