We need a video of Mike and Tom sitting at the HQ sipping on a cup of coffee talking about the craziest situations of both your experiences. Two of my favorite channels
Check out diesel Creek! Not too far from these people. Pretty awesome. He actually got F150 2018 for under 10 grand there. It had 218,000 on it but still.
Tom seems like such a great person. I asked to schedule a meeting with him next month so he can give me a quote for a concrete pad for the pole barn I want to build in the summer. Hopefully we can make it work.
Mike, Appreciate the auction tour. Matt did show that Allis Charlmers crawler 10k someone got a good deal, sorry you and your friend didn't score. There is always next time. Really cool stuff at those auctions. THANKS 👍😊
That Allis Chalmers catterpillar looked like it was mint condition, that thing would run for another 50 years. My late father used to own a ‘49 B tractor, as long as it had a good battery in it , it would start every time.
That’s a good day hanging out with Tom. Auctions always surprise me at what items go for, it’s almost like some people have no idea what things cost new.
The nice thing about that specific auction was they didn't have all the usual fees and tax. Only fee was 12% and there was no tax. That made guys go alittle higher also. I know it did me
Tom's comment, "My back aches walking around a mall shopping is the worst hurt, on ladder, etc...." Mike laughing can agree on that I bet. Tom, I feel ya's pain. I hated walking around shopping - still do. Thank goodness Amazon Prime, FedEx and UPS porch delivery!
Good Morning Morgan's!! Mike Thanks For Bringing Us All Along To The Auction Preview Very Interesting!! To See The Prices For Equipment! Keep Smiling On!! 😃👍👊❤️
Allis Chalmers high lift - my Dad had one HD5 that was built in 1935. Was painted yellow and I rode on it when I was a kid about 60 years ago. Dad had to sell it about 25 years ago. Memories!
My daughter gifted heated vest . Really like it . Warm without heat. Less than 5minutes when powered on.8 hr battery. Worth it ! Got my wife 1 this fall . She really likes it !
When I saw you looking at the Allis Chalmers track loader, I thought how funny it was that Matt Diesel creek was checking it out too. He'd definitely be the guy that could hook you up with what you're looking for.
GOOOOOOD SATURDAY MORNING TO ALL MY FELLOW OWTM’s FANS/FOLLOWERS!!!….TOM!!!! Love it!! YINZ two guyz crack me up!! Yinz friendship is so great & perfect for yinz channels….imho 😂… Thanks for bringing us along…. Have a day HELLOOOO HUNTER 😊
Tom Hause is excellent at laying concrete. He knows what he is doing and not interested in cutting corners! Most residential concrete contractors couldn't spell compaction and could care less (realize there are others that conduct themselves at a professional level and hopefully if you are one of those contractors you will agree and not be offended). Concrete will cover so many flaws on its own until time tells the tale!! Sure Tom is not inexpensive but probably does not charge what he and his crew is truly worth---No He's Not My Wife's Brother!
My two favorite channels, used my heated jacket to ride in a Christmas parade, stayed very comfortable, still praying for the family and Hunter have a day
Mike most of the smooth drum roller’s can be outfitted with sheep foot kit that bolts on and off. That old crawler loader was in the showroom at the zeli store
Matt, from DieselCreek was at that same auction and looked briefly at those. He's a great guy to get with if your looking for equipment like that. Edit: At the end of you video I see you talked to him. I love when my TH-camr's are friends. Thanks for the video Mike!
Hello! 😊 This video should be sponsored by Ritchie Brothers Auctions. I love auctions. You can learn so much, but not a fan of, "buyer's premiums". This was the first time I saw Mike smile where he bares his teeth. I was beginning to wonder if he had any.
@@peteatthefarm4459Hi de ho Pete, Currently 28° F here going up to 61 by mid-day. One more nice day and then rain tomorrow. Maybe I can get the old Valkyrie out and charge the battery. Have a great Canadian day! 😊
Ya got to be Andrew Camarata who knows how to fix anything so he can buy older cheaper machines or heavy equipment and fix them up saves a lot of money. Hes got a bunch of machines now for his rock quarry and road building operation on his mountain he bought.
My dad had an Allis Chalmers HD5 loader. I watched him for hours when I was a kid, about 1955 and I was 7 yrs old then. He used it and an old 10 wheel dump truck for 20 yrs! I am hooked on on-line auctions, gets me into trouble - LOL!
Thanks Mike. Interesting and enjoyable video. The old Allis Chalmers HD5 was a great buy for someone who would like old iron. Would be nice down here in SC where open station is normally tolerable. I noticed the bigger rollers went fairly cheap. You may have to get it up a notch on size and get a big one!!.
Morning Mike, Nice to see you and Tom enjoying your day. Probably stopped for either breakfast or lunch along the road and share a meal. I use to go to woodworking sales with my neighbor and like a 2nd father until I figured out I could buy new for their prices. Some guy told me that there are 2 types of bidders. Those at the bottom who know EXACTLY what the item is worth and those at the top who have the "king swingin' dicke" mentality. I quit going a long time ago. Yea, it was fun to go, but usually a total waste of time. Like Mike iterated, no real deals here. Might as well buy new. Owning equipment when you can rent it and not need to store, maintain or insure it for that once every year or 2 use. This wasn't quite the same quality auction as that last offbreed Chinese crap you showed us. Looked like HE had a lot of high end equipment in inventory still worth tens of millions and more I'm sure. 😊
Good Morning Mike, great to see Tom with you. You're right, everyone wants a smaller machine so there's a bidding war. Most are scared of the bigger machines. I Hope You Have a Better Day, Boscawen NH
Like Tom said, "EVERYTHING is so expensive right now.". Get a heated jacket, Mike. Gloves, socks pants, the whole nine yards. The rollers were great deals. Yes Mike the bigger machines might be cheaper, but they are a ton more money to upkeep. A TON!!!!!
Definitely think the vibratory roller skid steer attachment would be best. I saw a guy using one building driveways it worked great! Plus you can transport it much easier. Thanks.
I like his comment about how TH-camrs leave stuff out videos. Had this happen on my jeep doing a repair, finally realized the difficulty was edited out!
Very interesting Mike, the larger items, like you said, went for much better bang for the buck. I like this video, good to see you and Tom together. Thanks ❤💯🙏
I loved the conversation between you and Tom and when he said "it's a real thing" I almost spit out my coffee lol Those track trucks went higher than I thought they would.
Scissor lifts are awesome. Ours paid for itself several times over. I got lucky. About 10 years ago, JLG had a refurbished location in Bedford. Came with batteries and a warranty for $4500. Today it is $10,000. But I'm ready for a JLG boom lift, too.
Heated Vest is Best thing EVER! 🙂, really works well, (i use milwaukee). This way, you can put it under any jacket you want. If you get a heated jacket or sweatshirt you gotta stick with that always. Sweatshirt you cant layer easily, arms get bunched up inside a jacket. Vest allows for flexibility.
The larger the iron the harder it is to move, and the smaller iron, most can move it making it easier for the smaller construction companies to utilize. I remember a few year ago here in Toronto there was a Cat D11 completely rebuilt went for $35000.00 it cost more than that to move it out of the auction yard.
Hi Mike. Hello.hunter have not seen you in a few videos yes Matt is very good and experienced in the auction smart way to get on in life doing partners in business hopefully it works out well for you and Tom
Place probably went out from dealing with mainly on off cheap brands you can only get some many people to buy them before word is out that those brands dont perform like the main brands do and there support aint there at all and survive off rental equipment that most companies dont rent thats primarily how those off brand dealers try to survive and dont last
From North Idaho, I agree with you on your back hurting while in the mall. I have the same "affliction", it doesn't take long for my back to start hurting while walking around the mall. Well, just browsing shopping hurts my back, just can't do it very long until I need to sit down for a while.
I so agree with Tom. Walking around in a mall shopping is a killer on the back. Not to mention malls just encourage breaking the 10th commandment. If you want deals at an auction the economy has to be falling fast. Hopefully we dodged that bullet. Had we went for 4 more years we could buy that equipment cheap and not have any fuel to put it in.

You'd be fortunate to have Tom do the work. I have no idea the price, but I'm guessing it would be more than worth the cost 😊
