When I think about it makes sense in movie 'Sanju' the Sanju is shown to be very respectful towards his father (not obsessed like Arjun in 'animal') but still very eager to get praised and validation from his father so he acts like he wants the total attention from his father which is very similar condition with animal's Arjun Singh who is very obbsessing over his papa. I think that's why he is inclined to act the same way he did in Sanju 😅.
I'm just glad this movie didn't turn out to be a CGI-heavy, artificial looking, and over-the-top goofy "masala" film. The characters have life, the dynamics are intense & have room to breathe, there are no unnecessary jokes, the cinematography & color-grading looks gorgeous and the SFX is hauntingly badass. I've never seen Ranbir THIS intense before. Vanga has cooked up absolute carnage!

The highlight for me was the "Shh!" by Bobby Deol, his ruthless expression melting away as he silently breaks down weeping. His glimpses until now made him look like this calm, ruthless character with just a hint of crazy, so seeing him have an emotional layer as well was so unexpected it gave me chills. Also couldn't help but notice that he seems to channelize a rage and madness eerily similar to Ranbir's character, almost as if he were a mirror image of him. If I wasn't excited for this movie before...!
I get a feeling that this film is built like the Brad Pitt Classic "Fight Club". Creepy, eerie, twisted, questionable moral positions depicting psychological states and analogies . Maybe Bobby doesn't exist in reality, perhaps he's just Ranbir's alter ego ?

Mahesh babu was the first choice for this role but he declined due to the amount of violence this film has. Then I think Allu Arjun was approached too but he too declined since he had pushpa. If Ranbir had also declined that Vanga would have gone too Siddharth Malhotra. IMO,only Ranbir is willing and is actually capable of taking risks.

There was a recent Telugu interview given by Babloo Prithvi wherein he said he’s playing the role of Bobby’s brother, alongside another brother. So I doubt it’s like Kay Kay Menon and Abhishek from Sarkar.
In the world of masala movies like KGF, JAWAN etc. this movie is gonna bring a revolution in this genre. Sooo happy that someone actually did this. A close to reality action with brutal force and Gore in it. And still revolved it around an emotional story.

I don’t know why, but I’m wondering what Vanga is gonna do with the character of Bobby Deol, and if he’s the actual son of Balbir Singh. Maybe the toxic relationship between Balbir and Deol began to get to his head too much, that he began envisioning this persona of himself being the ideal son that his father wants him to be, which is Ranbir’s character.

This should consist an easy 6-7 songs with average duration of 4 minutes equating to close to 30 minutes of songs. So which means 3 hours of movie. This will be distributed with introduction, love, war, love again close, hence close to 5 parts. Which means the intro plus love will be close to 60-70 minute’s. Within that 60-70minutes, unless the stories are closely knit, fast moving, things will go to dogs. Hence according to me, more hype == more ticket sales. Post 3 days, such long hours will drain in weekdays considering office, late nights etc. I think gross income of ₹300 crores will max out the movie. Let’s c Also don’t forget 30 minutes of interval which makes it close to 4 hours.

The magic in the first scene of the trailer is Anil Kapoor's reacting to Ranbir & his whole enactment of being his father. Confused, Scared(why he's behaving like this), ashtonished...seeing Ranbir requesting him about the role play game. That whole reaction of Anil Kapoor creates an huge impact of Ranbir's fabulous act. ❤
My theory - the first scene would actually be the last scene where Ranbir proceeds to kill his father. Reason being the scar seen on the face of Ranbir in the opening scene is the same scar which he seems to be getting in the scene where he opens his arm bare chested with a knife in his hand. This would mean that he would fight the main villain, get the scar , then proceed to kill his own father
Why is no one talking about anil Kapoor? That man is a brilliant actor. Hes been playing various characters for decades and nails every role. His dynamic and chemistry with ranbir looks amazing. I think he deserves credit too

Just an observation...Ranbir's character majorly carries an axe as a weapon and at one point he talks about avenging his father who got shot. Could there be an attempt at creating parallels with Parshuram from Indian mythology who also goes around avenging his father's death with an axe in hand..?

Ranbir and Bobby getting all the plaudits and rightly so. But man, one has to admire Anil Kapoor in those frames shown. He wonderfully portrayed the helplessness of a father witnessing his son become the monster and him being unintentionally responsible for it.
Sandeep Vanga always turns around the careers of male Bollywood actors. First, Shahid Kapur with Kabir Singh and now Ranbir Kapoor with Animal. This one is going to be a sure shot hit!
Besides exploring the father-son dynamics, I am intrigued about what the film has to offer regarding the chemistry between Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor (though their previous outing together is something that's best forgotten). Besides the quintessential antagonist whose sole purpose is to fulfill his revenge against the protagonist and his family, I hope Vanga has cooked a meatier villain character for Bobby Deol as the latter's talent is very much like Einstein's brain - we are yet to see the peak of his performance. More than Ranbir, I am looking forward to Bobby in the film and hoping the script gives ample breathing space for his character and talent.
Not sure if you had noticed this or not, but in the factory scene.. u will notice Ranbir being portrayed as Hitler and showing Ranbir's ideology and how he is advocating it to his people, but unlike hitler his ideology is correct which is represented by the fact that the symbol is not tilted but straight. Ps it's not swastika since the dots are missing

Yes . Even Ranbir Kapoor acting was of sanju in some scenes the opening one ,same rage out ,the factory one .I hope it will be surprising new performance in the movie as we expect from Ranbir. Ranbir hair look was good but it hair seems 8/10 . The long hair lacked the aesthetic which Sanjay dutt hair had in the long style and shahrukh khan hair .

Kabir Singh was prolly pitched as a redemption story but was turned into a romance while production and marketing. The guy is a walking talking red flag from the go, the woman doesn't speak a word until half time and the movie is literally named Kabir Singh, just that. It's not supposed to be about the romance but him going through hell and back. The actors sold the happy ending well, but it could also go along kabir apologizing to preeti in the park and ride off to the sunset in his redemption path further cuz he hasn't really earned it yet.
This is my theory. Shout me out if this comes true. Seeing Ranbirs Obsession with his dad, and the opening scene. I think Anil Kapoor and/or the whole family will be trapped in the home while Ranbir Wages war against the world. Hell, he'll even go after the Reaper if he comes after his fathers life. Maybe that's what Bobby Deols character signifies. The way Ranbir gives in and reacts to Ranbirs request to play along, we can see the fear and captivity feeling in his eyes. Another Theory is regarding Bobby Deol standing Bloodsoaked in the wedding. That must be where Ranbir finds Bobby was the one who shot his father. Going after him and taking the life his soon to be wife. Bobby's eyes show that.
The definition of "Theatre Cinema" has changed post COVID and South Indian masterpieces. Creators have realised or will realise that to sell tickets, only Star power is not enough. You need an engaging storyline, a mass appeal, background score and CInermatography of the top notch quality. Sad to say but the fact is ...People have grown intelligent, and its high time that bollywood does as well.
I think in the telugu market, people will rush to theatres for vanga more than Ranbir. I still remember how people raved about Arjun Reddy and the euphoria , controversial debates it created in Telugu states. Excatly. The irony is that in one of the Animal movie songs , I guess Ranbir says that if he passes away , he tells her not to marry anyone. I was like lol. He is saying as if he is some lord Rama who follows all good habits throughout his life in the movie. I guess the real scene should be if Rashmika say something bad about Ranbir's father , he should try explainaing or there should be some argument in the scene. That's where the drama will start. But I know that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is not that talented enough to create drama just from a conversation. Great directors like Mani Ratnam would do that.

The highlight for me was the "Shh!" by Bobby Deol, his ruthless expression melting away as he silently breaks down weeping. His glimpses until now made him look like this calm, ruthless character with just a hint of crazy, so seeing him have an emotional layer as well was so unexpected it gave me chills. Also couldn't help but notice that he seems to channelize a rage and madness eerily similar to Ranbir's character, almost as if he were a mirror image of him. If I wasn't excited for this movie before...!

So which means 3 hours of movie. This will be distributed with introduction, love, war, love again close, hence close to 5 parts.
Which means the intro plus love will be close to 60-70 minute’s.
Within that 60-70minutes, unless the stories are closely knit, fast moving, things will go to dogs.
Hence according to me, more hype == more ticket sales.
Post 3 days, such long hours will drain in weekdays considering office, late nights etc.
I think gross income of ₹300 crores will max out the movie.

The magic in the first scene of the trailer is Anil Kapoor's reacting to Ranbir & his whole enactment of being his father. Confused, Scared(why he's behaving like this), ashtonished...seeing Ranbir requesting him about the role play game. That whole reaction of Anil Kapoor creates an huge impact of Ranbir's fabulous act. ❤
My theory - the first scene would actually be the last scene where Ranbir proceeds to kill his father. Reason being the scar seen on the face of Ranbir in the opening scene is the same scar which he seems to be getting in the scene where he opens his arm bare chested with a knife in his hand. This would mean that he would fight the main villain, get the scar , then proceed to kill his own father

Besides exploring the father-son dynamics, I am intrigued about what the film has to offer regarding the chemistry between Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor (though their previous outing together is something that's best forgotten). Besides the quintessential antagonist whose sole purpose is to fulfill his revenge against the protagonist and his family, I hope Vanga has cooked a meatier villain character for Bobby Deol as the latter's talent is very much like Einstein's brain - we are yet to see the peak of his performance. More than Ranbir, I am looking forward to Bobby in the film and hoping the script gives ample breathing space for his character and talent.

The guy is a walking talking red flag from the go, the woman doesn't speak a word until half time and the movie is literally named Kabir Singh, just that. The actors sold the happy ending well, but it could also go along kabir apologizing to preeti in the park and ride off to the sunset in his redemption path further cuz he hasn't really earned it yet.

I guess the real scene should be if Rashmika say something bad about Ranbir's father , he should try explainaing or there should be some argument in the scene. That's where the drama will start. But I know that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is not that talented enough to create drama just from a conversation. Great directors like Mani Ratnam would do that.

It's ok to show a problematic character but celebrating it on social media like 'slap on feminism/wokes' is weird..You don't need to be woke it's just basic common sense that you can't slap your partner or control him/her like your property..I do agree critics targeted Kabir Singh way to far when there are other problematic characters as well like Sanju, Gully boy safena, judwa etc but now Vanga is also milking from it..There is no need to put that choking scene in trailer he just wants controversy..

A massive Gun scene should have been kept for theatres, it would have created pandemonium to see revelation in movie on big screen rather than on TH-cam.
It is the worst scene of trailer doesn't suit with the overall trailer because of third class VFX
Either they should have worked on VFX or not keeping any heavy VFX scene like that in the movie or at least in the trailer
