We have construction companies that break 3/4" g100 chain slings shock loading them jerking plate steel out of the ground with an excavator. My favorite are the DP Nicoli rental bridles which are guaranteed to be total replacements they all have bent or broken hooks, stretched chain or bent masterlinks often times it's all 3 of those at once.
We put those J hooks on 7/32" g100 2 ways for Kenworth truck company and tag it for 250lbs they suspend fenders and hoods for 18 wheelers in the paint shop.

We have a stamping company that breaks 3/4" 2 legged chains wit foundry hooks, it's unbelievable that the crane didn't come down and no one got hurt.
