Thanks for taking time to share what you do... I enjoy the banter as much as the work.
I am glad you enjoy it, I have some fun making these videos.
Thats What i call a Customer Fired! I fire them from my business when I need to.
Thank you very much for watching my video.
I like your approach to business, it’s easy sell if you are proud of your product.
I appreciate your comment, we do try to build a quality product.
I like your content its fun to watch . I have some of them Chinese chain slings are thay testable or are thay junk ?
They are Testable, as long as they have proper markings on the chain and hardware we can test them 2X the working load limit
Afternoon I would like to know the roles of rope slings and chain ⛓ life when to remove from service and retest or throw away ?
You are only requiring have a visual inspection 1 time per year by a qualified person as far as removing Chain Slings and Wire Rope Slings there is no amount of time as long as it looks good and no pitting.
I always suggest getting them inspected and Tested every year unless the test cost more than a new sling.
Thanks ❤❤❤
Your welcome
I have about 20+ round slings and I wanted to know if they have a life limit or expiration date to them? none are cut they are in perfect condition just dirty or been in water or sat in water
Do you actually make the rope material thats inside the sling?
No, that is produced by Filtec. Thanks for asking.
How do you calculate the excess cable for the eyes of the sling?
figure what size eye you want, times 1-1/2 plus the length of the sleeve and that will get you close. Or you can measure from the end of the wire rope and make a 6' mark, splice your eye and then measure how much wire it took. Maybe I will do a Video on that one day.
Cool video
Thank you
Good to see Patrick, Greg from Franklin...
Patrick is a good guy and thanks for watching.
I have so much respect for the doers of this world. Nice job.
Thanks I really appreciate your comments.
Nice video! I like the Spelter Sockets! 🙂
Thank you, glad you liked it. Are you a Muncy Fetter?
Have you seen the Yale LOUPS slings? I know they've been out a lot of years but this year I was finally in a position to buy a few. Arnold AFB. Anyway, functionally they are pretty cool. I imagine they are harder to make due to their tight braided jackets. After joining forces with Slingmax...that got the Yale LOUPS out to more customers. That made Slingmax jealous and so they came up with their Helix slings. Not quite as strong for the same diameter but still pretty good. K-spec vs Dyneema.
Yes I have seen them and I have been selling the Helix lately because Yale says the are better than the loops which Yale cordage also makes, I have been selling the Helix with the cut resistance sleeves for picking up steel coils. Thank you for watching and for the comment.
@@hanginwithdaddio I don't know that the Helix is a better sling than the LOUPS. I don't know what kind of splice is used on the LOUPS but it could add some variability to sling length, although not much. I had maybe eight 34,000# LOUPS at the AFB and more on order. We didn't notice any length tolerance issues. Jackets are about the same between the two. One uses small diameter braided Dyneema rope cores and the other is the same as a SlingMax K-Spec yarn sling (TwinPath/SinglePath). D/d ratio's are both about 1:1. Helix is just a little cheaper, the last time checked. Initially they had the Helix about 40% cheaper but I've heard I&I Sling say the Helix might replace the LOUPS. I imagine the Helix is easier to make and thus better profit. The LOUPS are lighter and smaller diameter for the same WLL. They aren't the perfect sling for every situation but they are awesome.
Hey I support you brother
Thank you, I need all the support I can possibly get.
Great video!💯💯💯💯💪🏼🇺🇸i wish i was closer id apply for part time ! Wish i could find old school place like that near me !
Thank you.

Thanks I really appreciate your comments. Thank you for watching.
If you were closer to me I would love to work with with yall.
Would be nice, I only had one show up for work today, it was the day from Hell today 👀
son that was a cool vid a real world problem, i had the same problems with guys that can't handle real work in the fab shop, what i did have a revolving door, just look at me the wrong way and out the door you go, and after a long time i had a crew of about 15 i could rely on, and around 5 punks to do the labor stuff and they never lasted more than the first pay cheque
It is tough these days and without shops like ours everything will stop because it requires our products to get the things you see. Thank you for watching.
Take your camera fishing when you go
I will do that for sure. Thank you for watching.
I've worked with winch line of various sizes for 50 years. Always wondered how those closed ends were put on. Thanks.
It's simple if you got the right equipment. Thanks for watching.
I had that happen once on a winch where the cable got overlapped and was pulling both ways. I thought a solenoid was malfunctioning. Then it popped out.
Problem with that Miller Truck is you can't see the winches, they need to raise them so you can monitor what is going on. Than you for watching and your comments.
Just another day at custom sling we got it done once again
We always tote the note don't we.
Another interesting video
Glad you enjoyed it
my god that truck is the most beautiful think I've ever seen
Yes it is, he will probably sell it.
What was the cable for that he's cutting out? 15:10 Looks like a nice shop, clean and organized, that's one hell of a crimping machine.
1/8" on the chain mesh sling, and that crimping machine is 1200 Ton.
As an engineer on a offshore tug who has had to splice wire rope offshore in the North Atlantic, in bad weather, on deck, at 2am, in the winter, with ice cold waves crashing across the deck, and none of your fancy tools I’m jealous of your nice shop!
Your awesome Man. Thanks for watching.
I'd hate to have to Arm Wrestle any of you all! lol
Trust me you would win😂
I own a sawmill and firewood operation. I get the same thing folks need something ASAP and I saw it up and they never show to pick it up .
Yep, the price of doing business. Thanks for watching.
That riggers vise is badass!! Who is the manufacturer of it?
Morgan Milwaukee. Thanks for watching.
What a cool shop, a lot of us have used your products, but most don’t know how or where it’s made. How many companies are in this type of business?
@@hanginwithdaddio The vise you put the sling eye into? In foreground at 13:25.
Oh that is the Big Beaver splicing vice, I have 5 or 6 of them and one is a huge one that will do 2-1/2".
@@hanginwithdaddio Got it! Very nice, I need one for my vise collection. Thanks.
How small of a cable can you splice
1/4" is the smallest that you can do a Flemish splice on because that is the smallest Flemish sleeves they make, but we do make 1/16 cables but you have to use turn back sleeves on those, we also go as big as 2-1/2" in this shop.
My name is Alaa from Iraq. I follow your channel and I used to work with heavy equipment, cranes and lifting heavy equipment. I am 58 years old. When I see your work, I hope to be part of your team. Your work is very important for the safety of people first and equipment second. I wish you more. In my country, there is no such equipment for making wires for lifting.
Thank you for watching.
Joe is looking and sounding great to have had a stroke. Keep him busy
He has really done well and has always been a fighter.
Joe is an interesting old boy, thanks for showing that, i like the old cars, had an 1980 vette, and restoring a 72 gmc
Thank you for watching.
please show more how it made cables and slings
I do the same thing everyday and I haven't had any new things to show just the same standard slings and I try to give something but I hear you and will keep trying. Thank you for your comments and watching.
Gorgeous visit with Joe lost stuff
Glad you enjoyed Joe.
Great visit with Joe Johnson. He has done more in his life, and still proceeding fixing, fabricating, collecting, etc., than most people I have known. I've got to come up and visit Joe again before too many more weeks go by.
Yes you do!
Sorry for the mistake. The Elvis jet is so cool! I still can't believe he took on this project and saw it through
Yes he did an amazing thing
I love that they did a "light" restoration inside. He may want to keep that vintage! Though the carpet seems a bit bunched up, I might have that pulled tight to avoid trips.
I totally agree!
ha ha i think you might be more excited about giving your boy that jeep, take care son
Your probably right, thank You very much for watching and your comment.
Not sure if i missed it but i dont see the store button or link on the channel page or under the video🤷🏻♂️
On a TV while watching Video just push arrow up button then arrow left until you see the hand bag next to the thumbs up button. On android phone while video is playing just tap on the more button and the will pull up my merch, keep phone vertical, it's there I have checked on 3 different accounts. Keep looking you will find it and if you see my cups click on it and it will go to the purchase area.
Great video i love all the different slings, chains and options!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯💯💯💪🏼

Aqui no Brasil foi um dia muito triste Elvis Presley é um património da humanidade
I'm sorry I can't translate this comment. Thank you for watching.
Good morning. I have been looking to buy a machine like this for my company in Mexico. Is there any way you can give me the specs or the model of the machine and where did you buy it? I already do load tests but I want to offer this services as well. Thank you so much!
This Test Bed was built by Roberts testing equipment, this one is no longer made as they got bought out by AJT equipment. My test Bed is 225,000 lbs bed. You can contact them or Chant engineering, both are good beds.
