Sorry for the confusion in the video, I mixed up Rock Head and Reckless - for Clarification Emboars Hidden Ability Reckless increases all Recoil and crash attacks by 20%, not removing just recoil from those attacks effected by them. All boosted moves - Double Edge, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Take Down, Wild Charge

Reckless doesn't get rid of recoil. It boost any moves that have recoil by 30%. Rock head prevents recoil damage
I believe you are confusing Reckless for Rockhead. Reckless increases the power of moves that have recoil damage by 20%, whereas Rockhead is the ability that negates the recoil damage.

Gliscor with Shell Bell, Tera type ground, attacks swords dance, taunt, mud slap, earthquake! Use mud slap to trigger Tera, swords dance for boost, eq is eq, and taunt if it has a point outside of start of battle where it does status boosting.
Wait. Reckless does not remove the recoil. It boost the move.
This seems like a raid I will definitely only do alone. Trying to do 7 star raids online these days is too stressful with seemingly no one trying to cooperate and work together.

I have been hosting a lot of public raids. It is up to you to pivot your own Pokemon to match what your team is using and abandoning the raid if ppl are not using viable Pokemon
@@-Wisdom- it’s the raids where people bring pokemon that could be able to help but they have horrible trolling movesets or don’t even participate and just sit there the whole time
Yeah, I was thinking of a Ground Tera Swampert. But it can learn Scold still.
1. Bulk Up to lower the HP loss from physical moves and buff mine.
2. Mud Slap
3. Amnesia (reducing Scold damage if No Water Absorb support)
3.5. Liquidation to drop Emboar's defence stat for Earthquake.
4. Earthquake
Quagsire could also work, as it will have Water Absorb, which will stop Scald from being used either by AI choice or just by making it HP. The issue is Curse over Bulk Up.
I'll probably go with Liquidation over Amnesia as Emboar can't do much damage against Quagsire, even with Quagsire's reduced speed and Emboar's reduced accuracy, even so chances are it will use Scald on Ground Tera Quagsire at least once.
Gliscor might work since it has access to support moves like Lunge and Screech, on top of also having Swords Dance and Earthquake. Depends on if Emboar has Scald or not

My favorite starter (and shiny starter as well) for my birthday! So happy we're finally getting it.
Personal opinion is given the HA is Reckless, I'm expecting Emboar to lean heavily into moves that have recoil. Given the typing, I'm fully expecting Wild Charge and Flare Blitz, but also Head Smash in some capacity. I'd also be surprised if it doesn't have some Fighting-type attack, so I'm leaning into expecting some sort of Bulk Up and Body Press kind of deal. To me, I think something like a defensively bulky Gliscor might work using a Toxic Orb and Poison Heal, running something like Protect, Fling, Swords Dance & Earthquake could get the job done as part of a group. Not so sure about Solo consistently, I feel like that would be somewhat reliant on good teammates.

Would flygon be a good option because it avoids earthquake with levitate, ground typing to do 2x damage for electric type, dragon to take less damage from fire, grass and, electric moves.
I'm thinking Pecharunt could be a solid option purely based on its insane defense stat as long as Emboar don't have bulk up (or EQ/Zen headbutt) as a standard move of course
Rhyperior max def + max attack solid rock. Resist fire and rock moves and immune to electric attacks. Iron defence, sd, bulldoze/mud slap and eq. Tera ground. Rhyperior is tanky and take hits all day. Solid rock staves off fighting and grass moves. ID boost def further, sd for attack and eq to win.

Emboar has a very diverse move pool, so this is gonna be interesting. Especially since it appears to be able to use Scald according to Serebii's gen 9 pokedex.
I'll use garchomp and/or landorus
Garchomp is bulk, has a high atk stat, it can buff its own atk, itwill hit for weakness and can lower emboar atk. Emboar has no coverage for him.
Pretty much the same with Landorus. THe incarnate form can be used with sp atk focus (earth power, rain dance, sandsear storm and nasty plot) - you can use sheer force, but then shell bell won't work, need another way around for hp. Therian form has intimidate, Bulk up, earthquake.
Also, If Emboar has a dark cover, I think it probably won't have knock off, but Assurance instead (to cover for some ground/ghost mons)

Osirus, Emboar can also get Scald, so ground types may struggle. Also, like you said, Burn will be a problem

I'm definitely waiting to see the moveset before building. Initially, I was thinking, to try something different, of using Mudsdale with Stamina. However, if it knows Scald or Trailblaze, nope.
I’m surprised no one’s mentioned this much but I think we can expect this Emboar to have Drain Punch to make up for the Reckless recoil damage it’ll be constantly inflicting on itself
I think Garchomp would be a better option with Sand Veil ability. It will also resist or normally damaged by any elemental coverage from Emboar. With Mud Slap and Sandstorm, it will easily dodge Emboar's attack.
i went with support mew as usual xD lucky the randos already know the builds, we got it in first try.
randos are swampert, garchomp, gouging fire. i just did reflect, 1 acid spray at the start before shield, then alternate life dew, heal cheer, and helping hand to swampert.
emboar has salty and sweet Herba
As I said with Swampert, I think it's unlikely any Tera Raid has Knock Off. Mostly because KO does make it so any item that is usually mandatory to defeat the stage will be taken out, making the stage impossible to do.
Knock off doesn't get rid of your item in raids
honsetly i think mudsdel will the perfict choce for the raid since it can have the abillaty stama witch will buff its defence eeach time its hit also have a steller tera max out its attack and defince and hp if possable
So I only used my Ghost Terra Annialape, max attack and hp evs with rage fist, bulk up and drain punch holding a shell bell.

Thank you for the update as I won’t be starting the build Pokémon until Thursday afternoon 5 PM Pacific time because that’s usually when he goes live for me as I’ll hold off until then because I have my birthday coming up soon a couple days so I’m gonna enjoy that and then worry about the raid until then This week of course.😊

Why not stellar tera on skeledirge ? That way it resist fire, immune to fighting and only need to be careful of electric moves.

Some people are saying Landorus is good for this raid. Hope Emboar is not packing trailblaze. Leaning on the Swampert for this raid but will depend on Eboar's moveset to do the other builds.

@@wutangclan333 Incarnate form likely. The one with sand force ability though the hidden ability sheer force is not bad. Going physical with bulk up or special with nasty plot.

Garchomp is looking good here. At most, it takes neutral damage. Or Flygon, which adds immunity to ground.
If Knock Off isn't part of the moveset, Giratina-O could be ideal. Resists everything and immune to 3 of the moves (at least until Levitate is nullified). Then Earthquake is neutral. It can learn Earth Power and Earthquake if you want super effective damage. And Curse or Calm Mind if you want to set up.
I’m going on vacation (brought my switch but with ssbu game card) for 3 days so ill fight the special Emboar afterwards

Rock head Negates recoil.

Reckless boosts the recoil moves instead of neutralizing the recoil but the point of the recoil being discounted still applies; the recoil doesn’t scale with the raid pokemon’s HP multiplier.
I plan to use a Kommo-o with a ground tera type. I will run a belly drum and drain punch combo with a big root to boost hp recovery
I'll look into Latios, Giratina and Eternatus (or something of their typing) and see what they can output against Emboar. They probably resist everything Emboar might throw against us.
Scald & Trailblaze are the main threats I see from Emboar, though I have a Tera Stellar Gliscor on standby, but wait and see is the best thing for now.
8:00 i thought that unaware only ignores any stat boosts/drops of the opponent, not them ignoring your boosts/drops (so Curse should still increase defense against Emboar's phys. attack)
Edit: I screwed up. Fixed it now. Also edited the wording.
To clarify for people who don't understand, Unaware lets you ignore any stat changes of your opponent.
Stat changes on the opposing pokemon when they have Unaware
If they boost DEF you do less damage.
If they boost ATK you take more damage.
If their DEF drops you'll do more damage.
If their ATK drops you'll take less damage
Stat changes on your pokemon when fighting something with Unaware
If you boost ATK you won't do more damage.
If you boost DEF you well still take normal damage.
If your DEF drops they well do normal damage.
If your ATK drops you well do normal damage.
So if you fighting a Terra Raid Ground Quagsire, Seed Flare Shaymin is a great option, while something like Sword Dance Orgepon would be less effective.

Trail Blaze would likely nix any Water/Ground Pokémon, so pray that Emboar does not have it.

I'd say a swampert build. Immune to electric types and fire type attacks are weak against water types
since it may have special moves i would put some EV's into HP instead of just defense
I feel like golurk is gonna be a solid choice.

Could also look at Dachsbun for support: Well-Baked Body | 252HP/252Def | Bold | Mud-Slap/Charm/Yawn/Helping Hand | Shell Bell - As long as it doesn't insta-shield, Charm on first round, Yawn, Mud-slap away.
Yeah, Reckless is not Rock Head. But I'm not sure the difference is material here, given the way recoil damage works for Tera Raid bosses.
would pallosand with sand veil HA knowing the moves: sandstorm, iron defense, shore up, and earth power/ scorching sands be any good?
