Love the bass solo in Stay Clean, it's so fucking cool and I was blown away the first time I heard it because I had never actually heard Lemmy play a solo before but I still love it
Check out "Orgone Accumulator" by Hawkwind. 10 minutes of Lemmy joy. Hawkwind were definitely at the top of the game during the time Lemmy was with the band 😎
Hawks forever😅..lemmy is always the same.same riffs. .and feel great to hear.and later pick up these notes too.))).rock n roll is the best fuckin thing in whole world.
Absolutely superb! My favorite Motörhead song, I’m 60 now and my first Motörhead gig was in 1979. Those three men changed my life forever and I listen to them every day! 🤘❤️🇬🇧
My favourite bass solo in all of rock n roll by far. However just listen to Lemmys playing on Lord of Light when he was playing in Hawkwind. Practically the bass line is the tune and it's basically a bass solo through the whole track. Also on doremi fasol Latido is time we left the world today. The bass crescendo in that tracks breakdown is immmeensseee!!! Lemmy forever ❤♠️♠️♠️🥃🍻
Check out “Lord of Light” by Hawkwind, the bass line on that is just a full bore psychedelic assault for pretty much the whole song. Lemmy and Dave just pinning the ears back and going for it.
It is amazing what you can do with just the rhythm section. I get that in metal the guitar is the lead instrument but a lot of bass players hold themselves back.
My mum and dad used to attend motorhead gigs, and they used to stand right next to the speakers. They said on the journey home, you could hear the entire line up of songs even after they left
Damn Danny... You got it Man. Lemmy was (and STILL is) the Hardest Rocking BEHSSIST on this orb, and whooped on the most LETHAL WEAPON... The Rickenbacker. You got it down Man... ♠️ Celebrate with some pints. I'm hoisting one for you 🍺
If you love his bass playing, but only know the Motörhead stuff, please, please listen to Hawkwind’s live epic Space Ritual. It’s so easy to get caught up in the Lemmy as a personality hyperbole and that always overshadows the fact that he was a master technician of the instrument and a phenomenal musician.
In 1982 (11th grade) I think it was, I watched a new acquittance of mine play this is his bedroom, loud as fuk ! It so cool, I had no idea he even played bass, we met through model plane flying. Fast fwd a couple years, we joined the Marines together, got out and started a band. He taught me bass, he picked up the guitar. Our name? Focke-Wulf 190 out of Detroit, lots of shows later, a tiny record deal and some local success. All because of that solo....and I usually played a Rick. Thank you Lemme and Dino.
The Another Perfect Day album is a much-maligned Motorhead classic. I have to say, though, the bassline Lemmy played on the Damned's version of Ballroom Blitz has always been a favourite of mine; it's pretty much a solo for the whole length of the song.
I saw Motörhead at Bradford St George’s some time in the late 80s. I nearly got ran over when leaving the venue, crossing to the interchange, as I didn’t hear the approaching taxi. My ears were still ringing the morning after.
It's true. Whether you like him or not he was always honest and true. I think that's why he is respected by people who don't even listen to rock or metal.
Fabulous tone. Edging towards the wonderful roar of JJB's No More Heros sound. Tapping techniques "may" have its place in some songs but THIS ( to me ) is how a bass should sound. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 😈
I went to see Motörhead on their Ace of Spades tour at Hammersmith…I suffered from terrible migraines as a teen and felt one coming on during the support. I ended up lying on the floor puking and feeling like death… Right up until Lemmy played his thunderous opening note on his behs…Suddenly I rose like Lazarus, felt great, and I’ve never had another migraine to this day.
Epic, what a moment! The other killer mini solo from Lemmy is at the end of any live version of Leaving Here, first time I heard that on the Golden Years EP I was converted instantly
Hi Danny, I already commented on this video but now I've taken the bold step of subscribing. Last week I went to see a girl I have I have traveled with many times over the past 10 months or so while I go to work & she goes to college. It was the end of year show for the first year music students at my local college, I was impressed, there is a future! Anyway that girl is into punk & likes The Clash, I thought she was carrying a guitar with her on the bus, but no, she has being carrying a Bass! For context she is tiny, & she played a short scale 5-string, but I don't care, it's still a Bass (or Behs). Nearly at 200k subscribers, good luck. Dog
Excellent bro, you got this down. Love the old Head Motor and Lemmy must be top 5 bassist of mine, but where is your Mike Watt tribute videos, of the Minutemen. Mike stood in for the Stooges reunion with the Igg meister and the Ashton brothers. Watt is bass royalty man.
"Lemmy bass solo sir?"
"Oh yes please, I could murder one"
I don't think the health&safety Marshall's will allow it....😉

Lemme has always played bass like a rhythm guitar anyway, so why not take it up a notch and play solos?

Overkill.
Definitely in my top 3 favourite motorhead songs along with no class and bomber

Fookin brillant! I saw Lemmy do this in the Iron Fist tour in 1982. Met him and Phil and Eddie outside the venue where they did a meet n greet
A great solo. He also has a cracking one in ‘Lost in the Ozone’, which is one I see less people talking about.
Oh, I need to check it out then, because I love Stay Clean.
Check out Keep Us On The Road too.
The bronze era
lost in the ozone is by far my favorite motorhead song that solo gives me goosebumps everytime
"panic stricken bass solo" I think he described it as 😆
Perfect !Bravo !! Tone ,notes ,timing the lot . This is the stuff , this is what we want !
Absolutely superb! My favorite Motörhead song, I’m 60 now and my first Motörhead gig was in 1979. Those three men changed my life forever and I listen to them every day! 🤘❤️🇬🇧
I saw Motorhead four times and my friends tell me I had a really good time.
Watching Lemmy playing this live was a joy to watch. He has such swagger 😎
"Rock 'n' roll ain't worth the name if it don't make ya strut !!"
@@marSLaZZ66 that is a lyric that even Little Richard would be proud of! 😎
He had more stage presence than anyone else I've ever seen. Lemmy didn't need to run and jump around the stage to make people pay attention.

Stay Clean is a definite underrated tune. Absolutely amazing.
Lemmy should have done more bass solos. Very underrated bass solo.
Bro that BEHS tone is absolutely AWESOME!!
Early Hawkwind masterclass - you can hear this bass run in so much of their music - especially the Alan Davey era (Bass Assassin #2)
Yes, on Sputnik Stan.
Beautiful job sir! Nailed the tone and everything. Perfect.
Stay Clean has ALWAYS been my FAVORITE Mötorhead song, good job on the solo!
Love it! Great playing, great tone! I would give it a solid 10 BEHS slaps out of 10! Another one that you knocked out the park Daniel!
I love how you address this topic with such honesty.
My ears are bleeding currently. 10/10 would recommend this bass solo.

Lemmy made Rick’s sound great. Love that solo.
Next on the RickMasters - JJ Brunell.
Best cover of that solo I’ve seen. Great job Danny!
That was great! Motorhead fan since the early 80s and you did that justice. More Lemmy solos please 🇦🇺
Watching it again because YOU KILLED IT!!!!!!!!!!!! It's fantastic!
Great BEHS solo cover!
As Bass player, I love this song!
I am a big fan of you DANNY, Greetins from Italy 🤟🏻🇮🇹
He also played incredible Bass on the track Orgone Accumulator when he was in Hawkwind. Live on the Space Ritual album it was top notch!
It is amazing what you can do with just the rhythm section. I get that in metal the guitar is the lead instrument but a lot of bass players hold themselves back.
Keep us on the Road has a great bass solo too. One of my Hawkwind favourites is Orgone Accumulator. 10 minutes of Lemmy on the bass. 👌
That was just excellent, a proper buzz to listen to and see that Rick in action and you enjoying it.
Oooooooh Yeh !!!!! …. One of my all time favorite solos…. Sounded great 👍 BEHS ON … Cheers 🍻
My mum and dad used to attend motorhead gigs, and they used to stand right next to the speakers. They said on the journey home, you could hear the entire line up of songs even after they left
I heard Motörhead play that song live. Webster Theater in Hartford, March 15, 2005. One of my favorite concerts to this day. 🤘😝
Amazing this album came out 45 freaking years ago😊

The best part of the solo is when you finish and go back into the riff and get the same grin Danny got because the riff is just that damn good.

Danny, you have Class! great playing and great tone.STAY BEHS!!! This song is Motorheads 'My Generation'
Great cover of a wonderful solo from a wonderful song …. And I’m not even a Motörhead fan. But I do love anything “Behs!”
Glad to see this solo getting some attention! Simple yet effective. I wish Lemmy had recorded more solos, to be honest.
Musically magnificent! Greatjob! I like the bass solo on "Lost In The Ozone" too. 👍
I saw the man himself play that a few times, and say you crushed it. Well done.
Right on !! Love it !! 😀
Nicely done. What I like about your playing is that it's obvious that you really enjoy it.
The Another Perfect Day album is a much-maligned Motorhead classic. I have to say, though, the bassline Lemmy played on the Damned's version of Ballroom Blitz has always been a favourite of mine; it's pretty much a solo for the whole length of the song.

Good call Sir. Ballroom Blitz as performed by Messrs Kilmister, Vanian, Ward, Scabies, and Sensible has always been one of my favourite tracks.

Saw Lemmy with Hawkwind in 1974. Brilliant!
I know I lot of folk won’t agree but I think his best stuff was on Space Ritual. He wrote the metal, indie and punk bass handbook on that album.
