You may be cool...but you will never be cooler than Lemmy of Motorhead, hair blowing majestically in the breeze, wearing a Motorhead shirt while playing Motorhead in the band Motorhead live cool.
The way Eddie Clarke does that guitar slide in the beggining that sounds like an angry wardog is so fuckin raw, you can really feel that punk rock attitude in that one... just can't get enough of it.
This was the second Motorhead album, release spring 1979 and 18 months after their first, which sunk without a trace. They were just gaining a bit of momentum at this point, which would finally come to fruition later the same year with Bomber, and then the finished article a year later with Ace of Spades. After that it was pretty much downhill as far the albums were concerned. Always a great live band, though.
Saw this live in 20 Nov 1979 at the Capitol Theatre, Aberdeen, Scotland. Then they did Ace Up Your Sleeves Tour and came back in 01 Nov 1980 and my ears were buzzing for days afterwards. Pinnacle of my live music life! Speed metal, loud music, no frills, epic lights, bass, guitar and drums! FAULTLESS!
I am 63 years old. I got deeply into SABBATH when I got Master of reality 71. I knew all about Motorhead. I had seen SABBATH live before 1983 when I saw them again in Dalymont park Dublin. The co headliners were Motorhead. Motorhead second to last. I came away from this experience knowing that I had seen and heard the two greatest heavy rock/ metal bands of all time. Nothing has changed my opinion since
I saw them in Dunshaughlin Co Meath, Ireland in 1981. They wouldn't let them play in Dublin because they were too loud! I was deaf for a week afterwards. Brilliant!
There's no music in the world that sounds like 4:40+, nothing. It's absolutely unique! I would love to hear anything that can match up with this, but there isn't anything like that. Gorgeous!
This song came about from Phil letting off some steam while the rest of the band were taking a break... they were just coming back into the studio and Phil was doing this double base drum footwork & Lemmy & Clarky said don’t stop keep the beat going... & not long after another Smash hit from Motörhead had been written... Goes to show what real talented musicians can create just off the cuff... Amazing!... This was the best Motörhead line up in my opinion... don’t get me wrong I don’t wish to insult any other musicians who joined the band later on but this trio together were the best of Motörhead ... We thank you eternally...
Your not wrong this was the best Motorhead line up the way the filthy animal Phil Taylor was on the drums and fast Eddie Clarke with those guitar solos and you can never say enough about LEMMY. 3 Amazing musicians RIP

I have no idea what he was ever like to date but I stood and drank with him once after he'd been playing Space Invaders for ages and he was one of the straight out nicest blokes you could ever hope to meet. They were playing next door to the bar we were in and I happened in there prior to the gig. He was playing the machine and I was standing next to it for a while before I realized it was him. He claimed it calmed him down before playing, we talked, he bought me a pint, people noticed who it was and it got too crowded so he left to do the gig. Bomber tour. No front, just a really nice regular bloke.
Lemmy's vocals sounds like it heavily influenced death metal vocalists. The growls and grunts in death metal have such a close connection to Lemmy's vocal sound.

@Jim Lawrence People still shit themselves when they hear Motorhead.
Tuhle skupinu mě naučila poslouchat Sofia Negič,oběť masakru v Srbsku,Bělehradské škole. RIP drahá Sofie ❤💔❤️🕊️
Heaviest song of 1970s by far way ahead of its time
Into the Void, Under the Sun and Dissident Aggressor too.
Heaviest no, it's Heavy but tnot the Heaviest... Jerusalem (1971) was Heavier
@@KevinQ1989 Symptom of the Universe, too.
@@KevinQ1989I also thought of Into The Void, such a heavy song.
Only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud
So good I can't believe it, screaming with the crowd
Don't sweat it, we'll get it back to you
Don't sweat it, we'll get it back to you
Overkill, overkill, overkill
On your feet you feel the beat, it goes straight to your spine
Shake your head you must be dead if it don't make you fly
Don't sweat it, we'll get it back to you
Don't sweat it, we'll get it back to you
Overkill, overkill, overkill
Know your body's made to move, ya feel it in your guts
Rock 'n' roll ain't worth the name if it don't make ya strut
Don't sweat it, we'll get it back to you
Don't sweat it, we'll get it back to you
Overkill, overkill, overkill
Song went on for 3 min after the last lyric the best!!!!
@ritesh1903,
Thanks 🤘🏻🎶🎵🎵🎵
Una letra Legendaria para una Rola LEGENDARIA!!
You may be cool...but you will never be cooler than Lemmy of Motorhead, hair blowing majestically in the breeze, wearing a Motorhead shirt while playing Motorhead in the band Motorhead live cool.
Awesome quote :)
@@RockerKevUK Thanks bromigo! Came up with it myself whilst admiring the legend
Whilst being a 'Motorhead' because that's the slang term for someone who's on speed.
Lemmy is the only person I think could ever pull off wearing his own band shirts during a gig and not look like a prat.
also drinking some colavodkas and else ....
It's 2024, and still rocking to Lemmy and Motorhead! Who's with me?
Me!!
Me for sure!
Me me me and im 60 fucking one now
Right here, driving home to see my daughter karma who is a huge Motorhead fan as well.
Yes. Always. Motörhead Till the end of my live.
The way Eddie Clarke does that guitar slide in the beggining that sounds like an angry wardog is so fuckin raw, you can really feel that punk rock attitude in that one... just can't get enough of it.
Great times, iconic band, timeless song! The world is poorer without them...
The definition of a power trio.
Absolutely
The drums on this are pure fire.
By this point Motorhead could do no wrong! I'll never tire from these tunes!
FAULTLESS!
Yes great time in music, all that, and the ears buzzing..
Today Lemmy would have been celebrating his 75th birthday. Five years after his death he´s still missing.
he's alive in our hearts, he is a metal god
What are you talking about? Lemmy and his band are immortal.
Missed. Not missing.
We only truly die when someone speaks our name for the final time.
In that sense, Lemmy is fucking immortal.
Feels like 5 minutes ago.
Gorgeous!
And that's why motörhead is the greatest rock & roll band of all time
@@mat2093 And I can hear this again and again and again!
I've loved motorhead most of my life, you just can't stop listening to such iconic people, without motorhead they'd be no heavy music
I love the false finished of this song, mixed with the guitar shredding it's just amazing.
Easy loving lover
Дядя Лемми слишком много сил отдал рок-н-ролу. Не щадил себя! Вечная ему память. Любим, помним...
This has to be one of the coolest things ever recorded on camera. 🤘
i dont know orgasmatron is pretty cool
This is my all time favorite motorhead song.
Mine too. Love lemmy
I don't listen to Motörhead very often but when I do, so do the neighbors.
🤘
😂👍
Lemmy was iconic for playing the bass like a normal guitar, what a legend. Rip.
vu en concert...arrét de travail pendant 3 jouir..j'entendais plus rien!!
These three guys are “The only Motörhead” to me. It’s too bad they’re all gone now, but their loud music lives on. I love “Eat The Rich… put the bite on that son of a bitch”… I fuckin’ love that.
I was a 9 year old Canadian girl living in a small town when I discovered motorhead I felt like I was hit by a freight train I didn't really understand some of their lyrics but the music spoke to me lol I finally saved enough for my own motorhead album and the guy at the record store talked me into a poster for 50cents it's not like I didn't want to see what Lemmy looked liked I was so scared even at 9 that I would disappointed I pictured him as a bad ass well it took me a week to unroll the poster and I wasn't disappointed lmfao even at 50 newly on the dating scene after 30 years I'm asked what my ideal man is and I realized I described my first crush Lemmy lol
@@garioch65 ur so so so lucky
Magic moment at 0:17 when Lemmy swings his hair in the light and that big guitar comes in....
I tought Lemmy was bassist i read that somewhere
Los tres jinetes del apocalipsis:
- Lemmy Kilmister
- Phil "Animal" Taylor
- Eddie Clarke
All lawns in heaven have died

Eres el amor de mi vida honey
@@arpitsave1089перевод на русский: Все газоны на небесах ввмерли
Lemmy's vocals sounds like it heavily influenced death metal vocalists. The growls and grunts in death metal have such a close connection to Lemmy's vocal sound.
lemmy said he didn't liked metal bands not any metal music really
@@marcosbisso7136 Yep and that's because they only ever intended to be a rock band { all be it very hard } Nothing flashy just a brutally raw no fucks given HARD as nails rock band !........ And man were they ever 8)!
Lemmy plays is one of the Godfathers of thunder. Thunder is heavier than metal and rock
The second half of this piece is the greatest Rock and Roll ever played. It's enormous, awesome, outstanding, the best Motorhead ever!
MOTORHEAD!!!!!! REAL METAL BABY!
Absolutely CULT. Motörhead Army for ever. I played as Motörhead Support in Germany and that I could meet, play and drink with Lemmy is priceless. R.I.P. old friend ♡♤
Please someone take me back to 1979 to see these three playing rock n roll together one more time
In those days, a Motorhead gig was a serious event! Got the tickets, counting down the days.... but LOUD! Not even sound, but pressure, pummelling pressure, beyond sound... after Overkill at the B'ham Odeon, for three days I was totally deaf and felt like I was cocooned in a mattress. Nothing like it before or since. World War 3 in a phone box.
@@Erny_Module Plus in the day smoking was cool... It was a contact high just to be in the room.
ur so lucky that u were even able to see themmmm. im 24 never got a damn chance lol
Imagine being THAT ahead of your time...AND being so humble ..fucking legends
RIP guys! Such an iconic lineup! Tremendous song and energy. Thanks Motorhead!
One of THE most iconic drum tracks in metal/ Rock, fuck it all, music history. Powerhouse, and I never cease to be amazed by it. It set the tone and changed music forever. POWERHOUSE.
a true anthem of brutal honesty, this is the way we play rock and roll...if you don't like it...fxxx off..!!!
It's Little Richard on a lot of stimulants, just as Lemmy wanted it.
I heard this comment in Lemmys' voice. I can give no greater compliment.
svenkton avishnant vergonalt
sensacional .... como é bom ouvir esse rockão...só quem nunca ouviu diz q não gosta... igual a cerveja, depois da primeira, nunca mais para....imaginando Lemmy azucrinando o céu....
