Hey guys, I missed one step when changing the audio settings. Make sure to set your “spatial blend” on the audio source to 3D instead of 2D. Thanks for watching! ALSO- if you want it to be the loudest and best sound quality, leave it on 2D. The 3D setting introduces the fading bubbles that I explained in the video- 3D spatial blend will be best for sound effects or world audios where hearing the LOCATION of the audio is important. For dances and animations, you might want 2D spatial blend anyway because it sounds MUCH better (2D is direct sound to your ears and not filtered through the environment of the lobby).
Ok I am setting this comment just so you will know if it works for me, As I have been dealing with so much unrelated issues and bs. Here's to hoping it works! Okay..so. There could be some things to be considered since it makes alot of clutter..But I have found a way to fix those and I am happy to have finally been able to dance with audio. Thank you for the tool!
This video should have more views, it is simpler and very well explained that I found, this man explains in 5 minutes something that others explain in 20 minutes and still it does not work take you like good men
Okay, that tool is incredibly useful looking. The last time I following a tutorial perfectly to add music like this for the first time, it completely broke like it usually does when I follow a tutorial. I hope this works. edit: 3rd attempt at following this tutorial the exact same way, it finally worked.
I did everything like you did in the video, but I want it to be a 3D sound coming from my avatar. I put the Spatial on max 3D but now it doesn't play when I press the toggle? It works when it's 2D so I am not sure what the issue could be
Hi i'm new to making avatars. The first avatar I created is just a 2d image and not those usual avatar characters. I watched this video because I wanted to add an audio toggle to the 2d image avatar. When I do this part 3:34, it shows an error saying that my avatar has no valid expression parameters attached. I have no idea what I am supposed to do when it comes to 2d image avatars.
Hi, I had a problem when I press create toggle the page only shows me "game object" "avatar" and "accesory object" I do not have the parameter and the rest. Do you have any ideas ?
I followed the video exactly and even set my “spatial blend” in the audio source to 3D instead of 2D as suggested in the comments. I was able to add it to my avatar, but the music does not play at all in-game. What could be the problem here?
Double check everything make sure the toggle is created and the audio source (game object) is attached to your avatar also that you didn’t accidentally click “mute” on the audio source
Occasionally, things just break because Unity. You can try deleting the animation and the old toggle (delete it from both parameters and menu) and create a new one. Sometimes that’s all it takes
Yeah just make sure the toggles are separate to each gameobject and don’t forget to turn off each one before you upload otherwise the song will play by default when you spawn in game
@@BloodyVampszMake sure each gameobject has its own audio sources each with its own song and the gameobjects will have separate toggles that you make. Also rename the gameobjects and toggle animations to the name of their respective songs, if they have the same name it might attempt to play both since it’s the same label
@@BloodyVampszAlso, if you meant two audio sources at the same time in different places, you actually can do that. I made a small mistake in the video just posted a pinned comment on it. Changing the spatial blend to 3D will fix the audio to where it’s inside the desired bubble (as I initially explained in the video) the fade bubbles won’t work however as originally shown you must change the spatial blend to 3D otherwise the sound will be loudest no matter where you are in the world. Was my mistake lol
hiii, so i was wondering if you know how to add audio to animation emotes like dances and all? ;w; i may be completely dumb but i cannot figure anything out
That’s pretty easy! You just add the audio source onto the game object containing the dance or animation that you’re activating. When you activate the game object, it will turn on the audio.
For an intro audio like that, just add the audio source to your avatar. You don't need a toggle, the audio will by default be on when you load in. However, make sure you fade out your audio clip otherwise the song will play forever as you walk around in the avatar.
If you’re wanting to change the audio of an animation already made, you’ll need to replace their track with your own track on the audio source already attached
Hey Im new to making avatars. I used a unlit shader graph on my avatar but in vrchat its just pink (the shader) even tho i fixed the pink in unity it still shows up in vrchat
Please remember to change Spatial audio from 2D to 3D or else everybody in the world hears you if you feel like being considerate.
I thank you man, I finally learned to do something else to one of my avatars and I didn't think it would be so easy, really, thank you 💖💖

My next goal is spawning an item to play sound from with multiple audio options. Like from a speaker or small stage.

I did everything but for some reason its telling me to enable " lock in background " Any advice?
click on the audio file in unity and select "load in background" then hit apply. you gotta do this for every audio file on your avatar

Follow my first tutorial for SDK3 so make sure you already imported your SDK package and created the menu, parameters, and vrc avatar descriptor

does this work if you join a world and right when you join a little theme song/sound will play

how do i fade out a clip is it in a setting cuz i just want a 10-15 second audio on my avatar@@Savvy_VR
can this be done with just the oculus 3 and without a PC?
if i put this on a animation avatar i got would it effect the audio i have for this animation?

I recommend using Poiyomi Toon Shader when changing all your materials (google it for newest version on github)
It doesn't give me the option to import the toggle does anyone know how to fix it
Bro I can’t import for toggle
