I swear, your tutorials are the only ones I can understand especially when it comes to pattern making. Thank you for your creativity, for your clear explanations and for awesome and trendy fashion tutorials. 😍😘❤❤❤❤
I have just started sewing and made two dresses and a shirt! I was looking for some pretty, casual tops to wear with jeans so this is absolutely perfect! Very excited to start the ruffle hem top. Thank you!
Hi honey congratulations. I have some Q if you don't mind answearing me i really want to leran sewing but i never tried so scard of failing feeling that it's a hard thing do what should i do where should i start ( can't study sewing for money or online) hope u answer me please
@@luuxcyy7163 start by buying the sewing machine & the other basic tools and materials, not necessary expensive. after then learn the tension & know your sewing machine, there are so many tutorials now a days 🙂

If you understitch the neckline, it will give you a better finish. You do this by sewing the bodice lining piece to the seam allowance around the neckline. You can do this before you see the bottom of the bodice together to the ruffle. Nice simple make. Thank you for sharing 😊
i love that this is a no pattern sewing and such a beautiful top for a simple construction. i like longer tops to cover my tummy, so i will adjust to make it work. i might only have ruffles to the sides. Thank you so much for making it simple
Just made the second shirt for my sister from a leftover fabric I had and it turned out beautiful and so easy to make. Thank you Jess for your clear explanations and tutorials!
And if you make the ruffled part of the second top longer, you get a nice summer dress. Very easy Big 😘 to you Jess. Your videos have inspired me so much!
I just got done making the second shirt. I am so proud of myself. Very beginner friendly. Love it! I'm a size Sm/Med or 4. I used 14cm for the shoulders but I would stick with 12cm. My measurement was a little off. Used a cotton sheet I found from the thrift store and it worked perfectly. Thank you so much Jess!!!!!!!!
I just made the first top and it came out so pretty. I'm still learning to sew so it's not the greatest but its much better than I was expecting. Your video was very easy to follow and you gave clear directions. Thank you!
I made a top like the second one last time, and bec I'm a beginner I spent hours making the pattern. I'll definitely try this one, Jess. Thank you for making it easier hehe. 💚
Great video thanks so much! I made the ruffle shirt. I didn’t have enough fabric for the side ruffles, so I just did a bottom one. Still turned out super cute. Thanks again for the tutorial!
Thank you. I love both your tops! I have some nice fabric but not enough for a full blouse. Plus the hot weather really needs these tops!!!!. Thank you !!! ❤️❤️💞💞
Your videos make me inspired more, im really fan of your designs diy. Im really a fan of yours, i always downloaded and view your channel if there is new tutorial, i hope you do more diy's, cause i was inspired by your designs diy, its so chic and fab, i try to do it also but sadly always failed cause i dont sewing machine. I hope you'd notice me Ms. Jess
Thank you so much for always love my works! It will take more (way more) time to make a clothes by hand. But one big thing you will learn is sewing skill. I started with hand-sew too. So I hope you can keep going with what you love to do. And one day you can get your own sewing machine to make more clothes
Made the first top, but made 2 changes since I was working with a scrap piece of fabric. Instead of ruffles for the whole side seam, I only added them on the sleeves part. And then the ruffles on the bottom were about 5 inches in height for me since my top ended up being a tad bit too short. But it was a great make and will definitely do it again. Thank you for this tutorial 💕
You are such an inspiration Jess! I absolutely loooovveee your tutorials😍❤️✨ they are super easy to follow. Can't wait to start with my DIY projects. Keep up your amazing work! 🤩
im just hoping you'll noticed my comment, I want to know how much is the the tension & the # of the stitch need to be adjusted everytime you make a loose seam fro ruffle?
Jess, I would really like to know the type of fabric and fiber content you’re using in your pieces. Can you as that little detail to your videos in future if you know it?
Hi!! Thank you for the videos ! I love watching them!! One question: don’t you cut a 45o bias tape for the neckline? It seems like a straight one! Thank you in advance!!
If you don't have a serger, you can overlock the edge of the fabric by using the zigzag stitching and the fake overlocking presser foot on your sewing machine
It's my pleasure. The width of the fabric is 150cm. But I made these tops from the leftover fabrics. So you just need to get the right amount of the fabric you need.
Hi Jess, I have a question for Ruffle Hem Top. In the armhole, wouldn't it need a clamp so that it doesn't run away? How do you get it tight without clamps? thank you
Be aware if buying fabric for these projects - you’ll probably need to buy 2m if it is not a wide fabric! I didn’t realise and then got stuck when cutting out the ruffle pieces for the first top as they are over 1m. I’d say each one requires 1.5m fabric min :)
Im a bit confused for the first tutorial, the ruffle part. Isnt the length of the top 86 cm and to make ruffle, that is length×2.5 but 86×2.5 is 215 cm. Then why take 150 cm? Anyone explain, im stuck here
Hi Jess, I'm disenchanted with your tutorials. Excuse me first of all in case I'm wrong, it is very possible, this is my humble opinion: in the first top, the bias tape at the neck with the instructions that you see is impossible to put on, it would have to be placed 4 cm folded on itself same. You say the measurement of the side ruffle is the length times 2.5 cm and it seems too much to me, it is very long and does not fit with the gathering of the ruffles at the bottom. It is a simple garment that has become very complicated when following your video, a shame since it happened to me with another dress of yours. Thank you
I swear, your tutorials are the only ones I can understand especially when it comes to pattern making. Thank you for your creativity, for your clear explanations and for awesome and trendy fashion tutorials. 😍😘❤❤❤❤

Super!!!
Thanks!
im just hoping you'll noticed my comment, I want to know how much is the the tension & the # of the stitch need to be adjusted everytime you make a loose seam fro ruffle?
The stitch is straight. The tension is the maximum thread range you have. It means the biggest space between 2 needles
Yeiii 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi Jess! What pattern drafting books do you recommend?
I don't use any pattern drafting book. So I don't really know.
This is creative 🥺❤️
Thanks a lot!
Jess, I would really like to know the type of fabric and fiber content you’re using in your pieces. Can you as that little detail to your videos in future if you know it?
I will try to add more details about my fabric in the description or in the videos soon
Hermosas😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Am malayali but i like ❤
Thanks !
i would not call this a leftover fabric project, this takes up so much fabric.
I love your tutorials. I have a question, do you use serger for overlocking? If not, can you share how you do it?
Yes, I now have a serger. But if you don't have one, you can use the zigzag stitching and the fake overlocking presser foot to replace the serger.
Hi, I am new to sewing and am trying to hand sew the second top. Do we keep a seam allowance of 1cm across all edges?
Love love love for you
please upload a satin slip dress tutorial
I'll try to check it out soon
Jess you are fantastic! Only a question ... do you use a regular polyester thread or elastic thread for the fabric gathering?
For the neck size, can i just follow u without measuring mine?
I love your tutorials. Kisses
Hi!! Thank you for the videos ! I love watching them!!
One question: don’t you cut a 45o bias tape for the neckline? It seems like a straight one!
Thank you in advance!!
Yes, I cut it straight even you should cut it in bias tape.
Jess, Please make dress versions of both the tops. I think they will look great as dresses
They're coming very soon
@@JessDangDIY Thank you dearest.
More like these.Make one on peplum tops too.
I'll try to check it out soon
@@JessDangDIY 🙏
Hello, Jess! I'm sorry, do i really need the overlock? I don't have it and I at the beginning
If you don't have a serger, you can overlock the edge of the fabric by using the zigzag stitching and the fake overlocking presser foot on your sewing machine
Hey! Thank you for this useful tutorial. What is the width of the fabric that you used to make the ruffle of the second one?
It's my pleasure. The width of the fabric is 150cm. But I made these tops from the leftover fabrics. So you just need to get the right amount of the fabric you need.
@@JessDangDIY okay thank you
