I remember asking the guy at the Shell garage if there had been many cyclists in and he said no, your the first. I warned him there could be about a hundred on the way😂. Bet he had a busy night and can imagine the shelves being bare by midnight. You definitely captured the beauty of the route, I need to take more notice if ever there's a next time. We'll done and thanks for sharing 👍
Hey Richard. Great video, I enjoyed riding with you on Friday afternoon. You are strong on the climbs! I probably would / might have finished around the same time had I not lost the plot in Alfriston after meeting Grayson Perry and going on a sub adventure down by the coast and losing 10 hours. It was quite nice although I was definitely high on cycling. Good luck with the Celts.
Another good video :) I agree with flat bars over drop for mainly offroading. I used to have a Kinesis Tripster with drop bars but much prefer my flat bar hardtail with rigid carbon forks - I just find it gives me more confidence and control.
Possibly I don't know the Downs so well, 18:36 I definitely felt to be at the top of the South Downs! GBE was highly enjoyable off-road adventure that's for sure. Certainly visit again.
Great adventure there Richard and well done doing it of the back of APN 💪
Nice video. Spectacular.
Thanks Mat glad you enjoyed it. Great place to ride off road will have to return some day.

Well done Richard. Great video.
Wonderfull bike adventure
Thanks. I enjoyed this adventure a lot. 😀
Great video. Made me want to go out and ride it again! What an effort for you after All Points North.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah it so does. I'll definitely want to revisit the South Downs for sure.

Well done thats a long old distance . Sdw is a really nice route me reckons , hopefully do it again this year while the suns out :)
I'm surprised you left out the endless climb up from Graffham onto the South Downs Richard. That nearly ended me!
Here's my much shorter video about my failed attempt. I was waaaay behind you! th-cam.com/video/EMwZlbLwrIs/w-d-xo.html
There were four of pushing up that one, I entertained us by playing Katie Bush - running up that hill. 😄
Well done Rich. Time for a rest now? Hmmm… knowing you you’ll get itchy feet and be off on another adventure within days. 😂
Ofc.. I didn't wait long. Been enjoying another weekend off again - might have a quick dabble tomorrow.
I've heard a few people say flat bars is 'better' for this gravel-type stuff but drops are more fun.

At 11:55 are you at the top of the Downs link? Cheers, great video. Inspirational

Have you done Southern Divide? Which do you prefer?
Hey Robin. I haven't but it did perk my interest this week as I saw a video pop up in my recommendations. It does look appealing
