He needed to pull that shiv out, because he needed to mount and ride a horse immediately. You can't do that with an object stuck in your abdomen, messing your guts inside with every move.
I absolutely LOVE the cover of Depeche Mode's "Never Let Me Down Again", at the end of this episode. We heard the original at the end of episode 1. (80's means trouble 😳) The cover is by Jessica Mazin. She's the daughter of co-creator and showrunner, Craig Mazin. She was 18 years old when she recorded it. When the show was airing, HBO released a podcast after each episode. Co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann would discuss the episode that just came out. And for this episode, Mazin talked about wanting a female voice for the cover; to echo Ellie. "You could spend months reaching out to various people [...] but the're was this kid down the hall, in my house, who I knew could crush it." And he asked her to do a cover that is haunting & slow; and about a daughter mourning the loss of her father.
When you finish this season you should do a video that shows of how similar they got the scenes from the game. That heartbreaking scene in the bedroom was so similar they knew they had to get that right. Also ever considered playing games that these shows were based on?
I’ll have to check it out, and yes I definitely want to branch out into playing video games, especially ones based off tv shows I’ve seen. Thanks for watching!
