There cute when their babies..but not so when they get massive teeth and a attitude.
Baboons have a high degree of emotional intelligence. The folks at the vervet monkey foundation kept one overnight as it was being moved to a baboon rescue and rehab center. They had a little vervet monkey that came in that was very sick. It had a collapsed lung and some other serious injuries. The people who worked there kept these two in the same cabin because they always quarantine you animals before they put them with the ones that are already there. During the night the little vervet monkey died and the baboon completely changed. It was a remarkable, touching and heartbreaking thing to watch. It was very clear that this primate understood that this little monkey had died and it understood that it was a big deal. Absolutely fascinating.
I remember that, it was so sad, the baby baboon knew exactly what was going on.
Give this little baby a pacifier.

These things look like werewolves or some dog/human/monkey hybrid they aren't cute at all and when it grows up and has 4inch long teeth and can rip you apart what do you do with it...it does seem really attached the way it won't leave the lady's side for a second but once it's full grown it will be different

Not many people seem to have there monkeys when they are adult.....
That's because the minute they can overpower you..they do. They grow enormous teeth and are uncontrollable as they mature regardless of the relationship they have built with their human caregivers. They can only be caged because they will destroy any property or plants or anything else in their path. One of nature's very few truly worthless garbage animals.

Ohhh, this is Mona! Her owners decided she should be with her own kind, back when she was still young. Must have been very hard for them. Mona was adorable!

Personally I never could have anything this horrible around my home, but... Yank it's teeth out while it is young. Do it before it realizes it's innate desire to chew your face off. Starve every last ounce of aggression out of it and I promise you, you just might have a good pet. Well if you can stand something as ugly, smelly, and disgusting as a baboon, that is.

When it matures into the wild animal it is and tears the face off the person/s tormenting it, I will point and laugh.
Lady, when you were pushing her off you on the couch and laughing, that poor little baby's expression says it all!! Leave her on you they need the comfort and to know that you're not trying to get rid of her, she needs the reassurance of you. I hope to God you're doing this animal right. Be forwarned though, Baboons may be cute when little but when bigger it could be a major problem, so just be aware of signs of aggressive bahavior.

Ed Campbell, I totally agree & it’s heartbreaking. This owner seems to care about this infant very much but it’s hard to square that with the fact that it has been taken from it’s Mom, in fact, she probably had to be killed in order to take her baby!

But the most pathetic thing about that is that she really believes to be in control of them, while her beloved 'Joshua' looks like he would like to bite the shit out of her most of the time... It's absolutely beyond comprehension to me why there are no laws or authorities taking them monkeys away from her. What are you gonna do when it gets big enuf to sink those canine teeth that will get like 4 inches long and it can bite thru your skull and kill you or anyone else. Happened to a human baby while parent was outside & hut had no door . They look around and saw the thing leaving the hut and when they got close they saw it was dragging the now dead small child. They're not safe no matter how safe they look now Wake up, buy a dog.

the only person in the U.S.,that has a baboon,that might be OK to have one is lady with a Phd.in zoology and got older one from a zoo..She has like 200 acres in the country..She had several u-tube Vids with it..She def.respected how big and what it was capable of behavior wise.She had EXTENSIVE exp.with primates..

This is NOT cute. These are wild animals and do not belong in people's homes. Once they get out of the "cute" stage, they are tossed out to fend for themselves. This is beyond cruel.
Person with channel doesn't seem to be the baboon owner...just putting videos out there to create arguments. Right or Wrong? Of course wrong! No one can sustain a baboon in this environment for it's lifetime. People here are selfish and stupid to be treating a wild baboon like a human baby. The only hope he/she has is to be put in sanctuary/rescue with its own kind and hopefully it will have a somewhat normal life.

I'll tell you "how to sleep a baby baboon", you lay it face down, make sure it has a blanket or something like that wrapped around it so it keeps warm, then fetch a hammer or a medium sized rock and give it 3 good hits to the back of the head, aim as though your going through the head and actually hitting the ground. This will power it down and make safe to store in a bin or something or to just be tossed over a wall or something. Works a treat. Of course you'll want to keep it around for a couple of weeks for something to kick and punch around.
Babboon may be cute as baby but if you keep it make sure you remove all its teeth & 1st digit of all fingers & toes. I kno it sounds cruell but if you don't do this early by a veternarian then it can attack & maim or kill you as an adult. Sorry but of all the monkeys a Babboon is most terrible as an adult . Better to leave in the jungle by itself. If you intend to keep it get the operations for your safety & feed it a 1/4th tube of toothpaste everyday as that helps stunt its groing & keeps it a manageable size as you may have to defend yourself. If you love monkeys get a marmoset or capuchin& you stillhave to remove teeth but they're smaller monkeys, makesure you have a blender to mush up all the fruits & vegetables as just cause it has tohave teeth out doesn't mean it should be denied healthy food but a Babboon is the least desireable monkey to have
