- Thanks for coming to my channel & don't forget to subscribe if you enjoy this video.
My favourite video game ever is Zelda - A Link to the Past. This pedal is some sort of tribute to the surprise you get when you just think you have finished the game... wrong: there is a Dark World. The whole map turns upside down and here you have the game again, but different, beautiful and scary.
Well, The Chase Bliss Dark World came out with that name and Joel playing the game on a cool youtube video, so I just needed a few hours to order it right away. I can honestly say that this is one of the coolest pedals ever made in history of music gear (I could say the same about their Tonal Recall, indeed, but this one feels just so slightly more special)
Not for everyone, this pedal plays for you, it guides you, it inspires you in real time. This video is me, right after unboxing the pedal, literally just playing it for the first time, everything I played was recorded there and then. The pedal is not even velcroed (so it moves a bit sometimes...)
Huge thanks to Joel Korte, owner of Chase Bliss Audio, a living legend that is making stuff that no one thought of before, I had the pleasure of sharing a few days with his team and him in Los Angeles. They are good people.
Of course this is not a review, there are many quality reviews out there, so I am not even sure of what this is but I hope you find it interesting in some way. I just wanted to play as any of you would do in your bedrooms or your studios.
This is just myself improvising on my beautiful PRS guitar, touching the knobs, getting to know its range and nuances, and trying to get to know the pedal a little better. There will be a Part II some day, probably.
First take, recorded straight as is, with no post production or cuts. Please subscribe for more! Big thanks!
