Yeah, you're actually right. Bara seems to live for the fight, not for the win. That makes watching his stuff very enjoyable. A lot of players are much more narrow-minded.
One thing I've noticed happens a LOT in this game: The last player on the team gets befuddled. They'll have their target almost dead, yet switch to a target that's fresh. That, or they'll just step out in front of the whole enemy team. I've tried to curb that in myself.
If I'm not mistaken, you get about 1 point of heat for alphastriking mrm80, a lot of beginners get freaked out by the heat warning, but this one is almost completely negligable, so it's pretty much never worth doubling your facetime. You can even alphastrike 3 mrm40s without much trouble.
A MRM Roughneck? It just needs MGs too... INSTANT thumbs up. Love me some missile splat and I love the Roughneck. It comes in just behind a couple Clan Heavies and Mediums for me, but NOTHING tops the Huntsman and Vapor Eagle for me. The Hellfire comes close though.
I have a doubt because I only play battletech in tabletop games. By definition MRM missiles are built without guidance systems (that's why you can launch 40 at once. They are smaller but less accurate, almost are rockets). By this rule a MRM launcher can't use guidance system like Artemis IV or Artemis V. In the online game, can you put Artemis in MRM? Thanks you.
@@SeamusCameron They really are not. After you switch the engine double heats sinks and load out the mech. Clans and I.S. about the same price. 20 million cbills is 20 million cbills. Atlas and Kodiak. Atlas 9-10m purchase price, and 6-10m on a load out. Kodiak, buy mech for 18m 2m loadout. It is the same effectively. One must have patience.
@@iankovac1878 - Fair enough. I always neglect how pricey the engines get on IS mechs (until I don't have the one I want). They almost always need to be swapped as well. Clan mechs do have omni-pods that can be c-bill sinks, but I suppose they aren't usually as necessary as a new engine can be to make a build work.
@@SeamusCameron Exactly. Omnipods is a ways past newbie stuff. I just see it as a way to get them hooked threw game play then hit them with the building hammer slowly and gently. There is a big learning curve to this game, I try to teach newbies slowly in my unit :)
Getting hit in the head is still pretty unlikely, since most players will aim for center of mass anyways. Putting it in the arms will guarantee it gets used most games. Completely up to preference though.
@@laggybum3218 Yeah same. If targets aren't called out, or flanking moves broadcast, then yeah, it usually ends in loss. Tryin' to get players too talk though, has been like pullin' teeth lately.
So, what did we learn here? Become a "Pop Up Target" for the other team by repeatedly walking into view... Outcome: You Lose. When the enemy is simply standing in place aiming in your direction waiting for the enemy to pop up... all they need to do is alpha strike to win! No need for tactics or strategy required with this "sure to lose game scenario" Just continue to be the target without needing lance cohesion to confirm you lose. Takes a truly great TH-camr to showcase two losses but maintain a positive outlook. GG!

"Looks like a power loader that's been refitted for mech warfare." The actual Roughneck lore in a nutshell.
Literally

This is intentional. It's so because they know the game is over. And don't want to waste everyone's time.
Don't know about anyone else. When Solaris is the map, heat vision is turned on. Makes spotting the enemy mechs much easier.
I keep switching modes on most maps, even on maps with snow I can take use of nightvison to see through some things (eg. smoke).
Baradul tries to not use it too much so the footage is more enjoyable for viewers. he has said so many times.
@@Raythe Ofc, Its great for some. I myself would love more contrast/heat vision during some matches.
The periphery version of an assault mech.
I haven't seen the first match yet, but I have to leave a thumbs up for the 'SCHNAPS-NECK' before I do anything else.
I use a similar build in the 1C, 2 MRM 30s in the left torso and 2 rocket launcher 20s in the arms

If Ripley had that she'd have resolved the issue with the xenomorph queen rather handily...
I run this same variant with 3x MRM30, absolutely love it
Great work with MRMs. Thanks, Bara!!
The ghost heat from 2 MRM40s is less than 2 - pretty negligible unless in a brawl

What a beautiful mech
If there is one word to really describe Baradul, it would be "ritterlich". He is a real Mechwarrior.
... soooo a mechknight?
He's like a Paladin
8:28 I think you are telling the story of the horse. This is really under all pig.
Well, it IS a powerloader refitted for mech warfare
YESSS i've had this build for a bit and it's Sooo fun
9:59 It is noted.
He is a MIGHTY warrior...
Every time I hear your holy pepperoni I want to buy a pizza :P
Baradul you need to check the Build of the enemy ANH-2A(S) he managed to put out 1400 DMG thats fucking insane for a random Battle oO
2x ac10 and 3x rotary2
Of course he's a dirty Capellan, running RAC spam
It's "fish and bear's paw, you can't get them all", it's a Chinese parable
I run dual 30's. This looks..interesting
I was the other roughneck with an identical build in the second match, im sorry we didnt win

Nope, MRMs in MWO don't have Artemis variants, or so I remember
Mmmm now I have to make something like this with an Awesome 8R...
the roughneck reminds the power loader from alien
I'd love to see an lrm boat with a ppc or 2. A friend of mine just got into the game and that's kinda what his ideal playstyle is.
1. Clan mech are great for new players.
2. Mad Cat mkII-4 it is an odd mech, but you can run lrms plc on a single side build.

69.8 kph..... Enough speed to get into (and I quote!) "a nice position".....
Up the head armor a bit with armor from the arms ans then you will be save from snipers, its head hitbox is pretty big
