Hi Joe, it’s the Kam Wah Chung heritage site in John Day. I had never heard of it and was a nice find. stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=park.profile&parkId=5
Von Ehrich Thanks Von. I had a great time on this trip. It was one of my first long trips through Oregon and the first time I decided to document it with a video.
What was the stone room @ 7:00 part of or used for? Judging by the final shot through the stone arch window to be in the middle of nowhere? Leslie Gulch is just a few miles from my house, and I visit there often...
Hey Charlie, the stone structure is the Dee Wright observatory on the McKenzie Pass. It’s a really nice scenic byway. Really enjoyed exploring Leslie Gulch. Pretty cool to have that in your backyard.
Really loving your videos. So glad I found your channel!
Thanks BigFoot! Really glad you are enjoying the channel!
Amazing 👍👍
Thanks Hillbilly 59! This was one of my all time favorite trips. Did some sole searching on this one.
Such gorgeous sites! Truly beautiful and peaceful scenes!
Janette Reynolds Thank you Janette! Many great places to explore in Oregon.
Where is that visitor center and museum-like place you show around 6:30? Thanks.

Awesome Video! 11:00 is that Sturgill S? Regards from Ody Slim
Thanks Ody Slim! The song is called Coyotes by Don Edwards. The song reminds me of my grand father who was an old cowboy.
Nice video, been to a few of these place’s myself over the years.
