Great vid thanks to this I checked to see if my feed block was in the right way and what do you know it wasn't and the gasket was on wrong haha so put it together probably and runs great thanks heaps OBR
so can I just take my original reed block and machine it down and use the plastic isolation block with it? shorten the stack and use a piston port isolation block? or is the plastic block different to the original ones?
A piston port isolator will not match up the reed correctly due to the square end that mates to the intake port. The spacer needs to be round to match up with the reed correctly.
+Sean O'Neill I did think of that! could hone it out round probably work hey! don't want to spend the coin! you remember me asking about this as I was getting heat exchange to the carb, I found leaning it a little cooled it down no end 👍
I’m trying to order this crank case off ddm and i worried if the spacer is going to come with the crank case or not and I can’t find the spacer for sale if it doesn’t come with tha crank case
how is super tech 2 stroke oil? I seen that u said the top were yamalube,castor927,honda oil but as of now I cant get my hand on that oil.what do those oils have our do that the supertech doesn't.
maybe it's to expensive to desing but this engines can run with exhaust valve, something attached to the throttle servo to open and close the exahust valve to better presure in high and low revs.... I don't really know how difficult desing they have, for sure you have to run on more kg servo but it's just my idea... maybe it's better injection, for power/money to invest don't know, but you seems like never stop improving!
Works with all the OBR reed engines? Like the insulator, really noticed leaning out when it's 100 degrees here with my 30.5 reed. Switched to the Promod 29 for the summer last year.
Love your stuff man. I'm new to 1/5th scale and I can see that you guys are top shelf man! I got 20+ years in RC nitro. And I've been away way too long. Thanks for making such great videos. Botajells channel with his amazing posts as well, has put ne here. So I thank you both. I will eventually have one of your motors in my brand new MTXL. Still putting in goodies before I get it running. Soaking up a ton of info from guys like you and the Zaaaaaaeh man!! lol. Great great stuff guys. Cant get enough. Question. What's the biggest you can go from stock on the MTXL without having to basically change everything. Clutch..housings..diffs..pinions.etc. and a price? Just curious. So I know what to start saving for. Any info would be great.. Chris
The V2 reed does not push the carb out further. The thickness of the isolator was removed from the face of the reed to keep the carb position the same.
Sean O'Neill Sorry I mean I have the 32cc full mod 9,1hp which has already build in the v2 reed so I wanted to buy the 5ive B buggy and I wanted to know if it would fit in without touching the plastic mud guards under the airfilter if you know what I mean
Thanks for clearing that up Sean! I thought that the 34 was a Stroker Motor..... I think that's further proof. All out Speed isn't my objective - the ability to RIP out of a Corner is!! It's sounding like a 34 is a better option. Thanks. Carmine 💥⛽
Killer engine man. My OBR engine still rips after 2 years of bashing in the Kentucky back woods. Keep up the great work.
Thank you and glad to hear it!
Good job dan keep up the good work!
Any dyno graphs available to show the difference in power curve between this V2 and the v1?
keep up the good work brothers

Thinking of getting a OBR twin from you's and would love to see a vid of how to tune your OBR twins and a talk about them
Hi m8, Ricky from UK looking to put the g340 signature and was wondering if it just drops straight inn and do you need anything else.thanks

Will the airfilter get more distanced with getting the V2 reed in ?

Can u add carbon fibre Reed petals to it ?
Guys! Can we help me? I bought your engine (used one) I have to change cylinder and piston, how to port an standard cylinder?

Hey Jeff. Yes it will work with any of our reed engines. It solves the leaning/heating issue running in hot weather.

Very cool
Thanks
WooooooooooooW very nice
that kicks the carb out further doesn't it? when I order my reed Ima have to change my dt1 :(
The V2 reed does not push the carb out further. The thickness of the isolator was removed from the face of the reed to keep the carb position the same.
Sean O'Neill no I mean reeds in general kick the carb out further ...my dt1 is already hitting my redcat xb body :(
Sean O'Neill are the isolator blocks good quality? no cracking or splitting like the stock manifolds that come with the cars
does your reed case come with extra 2 ports cut???
We do a single boost port but do 2 ports upon request
Can I run the v2 reed in my 5ive B without touching the plastic mud gards under the airfilter?
Which engine do you have?
Sean O'Neill OBR 32cc 7,1hp
Sku 6300 on our website correct? If so the V2 reed is not compatible. That reed is only compatible with our reed case engines.
Sean O'Neill OBR 32cc with 7,1hp
Sean O'Neill Sorry I mean I have the 32cc full mod 9,1hp which has already build in the v2 reed so I wanted to buy the 5ive B buggy and I wanted to know if it would fit in without touching the plastic mud guards under the airfilter if you know what I mean
? Any motor have more torque
?30.5reed case or 34 reed case
34 would have more torque.

What is the difference between a normal engine and a reed engine
A reed engine is more efficient then a piston port and allows for extra porting to done. Reed engines have more torque and mid range power.
what's the power gain?
Power gain from the V1 reed to the V2 reed?
Can I open up my stock reed block?
Do you have a V1 reed?
+Sean O'Neill yes i have the v1 reed and I'm wanting to know the measurements of the v2 reed so I can open my v1 to the same size.
can I put this on my cy 30.5cc?
It will only fit our reed case engines. You would need to upgrade to a reed long block to use this new reed valve.

Higher RPMs More Power.
+Mark Dmitri ok thanks i might think about bying one
