Susan Branch books are so beautiful, I love them too! I don’t own any yet but if ever I find one at a library sale or second hand bookstore, I will surely grab it. I agree with everything you said about Miranda, I so love her channel and recommendations. The garden book also sounds like a lovely book. Have a great week 💕

They came to Baghdad is of course one of Agatha‘s adventure/spy novels which I didn’t like so much when I was a teenager. I nervously reread it a couple years ago with low expectations… And I loved it!! I was the right age and in the right mood and enjoyed every page.I moved it up in the rankings quite a bit though it’s still not in the top 10. Mitzi, you will need to do a ranking when you’re all done with your Agatha reading! LOL.
Susan's Martha's Vineyard book is on my personal Top 5 Favorite Books, Ever List. :) I've read it probably 6 times and it's always as if I'm sitting there beside her during her healing years in her little house. I'm sure you'll love it, also.
I just discovered Susan Branch in January. I devoured the three books based on her life story. I just love them! I ordered mine off Thrift Books. The Summer House sounds like my kind of read. Great video!
I am so glad that you read a Susan Branch book! I have all her books and I love them all! She actually wrote A FINE ROMANCE: FALLING IN LOVE WITH THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE first, but it really doesn't matter if you don't read it first because she didn't really write her books in chronological order. But I highly recommend it and it's wonderful. You already have the other one. Now I'm anxious for you to read SONG OF YEARS!!😃

I love Susan Branch. The 3rd book in the series is called A Fine Romance and it is about her trip to England. I hope this isn't a spoiler but if you go to her blog page all these years later she is selling the MV house and moving back to California.
I've heard great things about A Fine Romance- can't wait to get to that one, too!
Finally, I listened to your recommendation and started Onward and Upward and it is fabulous!!! Thank you so much for insisting on recommending it, I already think it will be one of the highlights of the year. I can't wait to see more videos of your visits to the gardens!!!

my goodness I'm sure you've heard this so many times but you sound so much like dolly parton! I love hearing your voice. I've been told I have an accent (east Texas piney woods) but I don't think it's as good as yours! I'm curious now about Susan Branch and the Agatha Christie you mentioned. I'll go years without Christie then get on a kick for several - miss marple is my favorite character but not my favorite mysteries if that makes sense. The Mirror Crack'd is one of my favorites just for how it all played out and I learned something in that one that I had no idea about. and of coures Murder on the Orient Express though with a victim that bad I honestly hoped it wouldn't be solved LOL figured justice was served!
The Gardening book doesn’t seem like my thing, but I’ve put the Susan Branch (English gardens) on my wishlist. That Agatha Christie sound good.
