I have wasted 3 pens because I push the button and it seems like the pen jerks and medicine goes everywhere. Should I be holding the button down until the 2nd click? I’m so frustrated as I did Ozempic injections with no issues.

Unfortunately, Ozempic and Trulicity pens are very different. With Trulicity, you should be waiting until the second click.

I’ve been on this since November 8 the third week I took my 4.5 I notice two days later a red circle around the injection site. It lasted a couple days and one away and did not itch . I also started getting really sick with 4.5 and thought that my pancreas was getting bad. I also started itching in my scalp some , not all the time . I went to my doctor thinking I was allergic to it. She didn’t think the itching of the scalp had anything to do with it and she said that a red reaction to the injection site was normal. She was concerned because my stomach was hurting so bad on the 4.5 so she move me to a lower dose back to 3.0 on the three point now I am still a day later getting a red ring around the injection site. It still does not itch I’m not near as sick and hurting. I still do have some itching in my hairline and scalp. I have been wondering if that isn’t getting sunburn on my head from walking without a hat anyway, I go see her again Friday I haven’t really lost any weight now I’m back on the 3.0, but I’m still worried that the reaction at the injection site means I’m allergic and shouldn’t be taking it . 😢 I am sure that she will tell me Friday that it’s OK. I just get paranoid and freak out about things. Have you ever seen anybody have just redness of the injection site every time they take the shot?

Yes, I have seen many patients with redness around the injection site. 🙂
