What I love about your channel is you find these old guitars and amps and play them for us and we get to hear what authentic gear really sounds like. Then I see how close I can get with my modern gear. And your playing is great too! Thanks for all you do.

@@sixstringcity3931 yup, I'm thinking of doing several videos about dialing in classic rock and blues tones on a Boss Katana. I haven't found many TH-camrs that talk about getting classic tones with solid state amps (other than Dave Simpson) and since so many people have Katana amps now it may be a good niche.

I have a ‘66, all original Olympic White Strat. The tuners do not have plastic buttons (they’re all metal, vintage with
metal knobs), nor do they have the “F” on the tuner housings. Serial # is 143 - - - , which puts it in ‘66. The neck
date is stamped on, June 1966, while the neck and middle pickups are July ‘66 and the bridge pickup dates to
October ‘66. These are all written in pencil by whoever assembled the pieces. The body also dates from ‘66, and
it has an “F” neck plate. It’s real - and it’s spectacular, to paraphrase Terri Hatcher in that Seinfeld episode!
