This song is actually really sad. Poor girl couldn’t control what she did, and her father was abusive towards her (he r/ped her) and it’s like the alter ego tried to protect her by killing her father so he wouldn’t hurt her anymore. Mayu fits the song really well when you consider her canon personality is a yandere. Shame things ended up the way they did for her. HER is such a horrible illness.
the HERS would exist regardless of trauma though. it's a genetic condition that makes the HER violent and bloodthirsty, regardless of trauma. hence the Hereditary in the name. First period scientists were really wrong to code that into the world

It really sets up the Nemesis series up well 😍 I think after listening for a few years now of the Evillious songs that now I can definitely say that the Wrath Arc with Nemesis is my favorite Arc with her as my favorite character followed by Gammon! I look forward to the other PVs!

The suffix "desu" actually means she's talking about herself. In Japanese it's put to refer to yourself. "Mayu desu" means "I am Mayu" for example. Similar to "dayo" commonly used by guys. Girls/women use desu and guys use dayo
