    Which email etiquette rules do you feel people are breaking too often these days? I'd love to hear from you. Cheers!

    Keeping it simple and basic is definitely the best way to go about it. People don't have time to read memoirs and not everybody can understand our sense of humor. Thanks for sharing these great tips, Adriana!

      Keeping it simple is the best way to convey your point(s). If everyone understood everyones sense of humor it would be a perfect world wouldn't it:) Thanks for watching! Cheers!

    Thanks for these email etiquette rules. They are all so useful. I have been known to write very "wordy" emails, so the use of bullets will really help to highlight only the facts and help the reader get the info even if they are only skimming. Great video.

    Hey Adriana, as I'm a culture diversity trainer, this is a topic I discuss for hours in my training. Every culture is different and especially the difference between high and low context cultures cause a lot of misunderstandings ALSO in emails.
    I'm guessing your tips are for US businesses but in our global world and communication across cultures, it's so important to take into account effective communication across cultures and bounderies.
    It's a very important topic and as I travel the world, I became passionate about the culture differences, so that's why I started studying and teaching it too.
    Great video!
    Rachel

    I was referred to this for a class assignment and thought it was great. I do not know if you have ever addressed using caps in emails. I was a warehouse leader and worked with numbers a lot it seemed like they were easier to read in caps because of letter-number combinations. I had someone ask me why I YELL in emails all time? I was like what? I had no idea that is what that ment.

    • @AdrianaGirdler
      @AdrianaGirdler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Denise, thanks so much for watching. I haven’t covered the all caps tip in a video but that’s for sharing that here. Wishing you all the best, cheers!

    I had this phenomenon with emails,when I write email to company about issues .
    For example,dmv employee refuses- denied to issue my driver license ; employee blatantly informed me that I don't equaliefd for license because I am not citizen or green card holder.
    I know this is not the case for most state especially in my state for immigrants to get a driver license they only needs legal lawful status.
    The site supervisor agree with his employee .
    I knew dmv employee to be incorrect, they're working off of what they want to the law to be instead of with the law is, immigration status eligibility criteria confusion existed in their brains because immigration laws had beings around longer than most of us being alive.
    So I email DMV regular customers service, I never get a good response to fix the problem.
    When I forwarded same email to dmv three chains of command. Meaning to dmv ceo and two people under the ceo. Response was instant and Issues get Fixed immediately.
    I tried three chain of command emails system with multiple different company, always responses seem instant every time and it works every time I don't know why 🤔 when I email the same thing to lower employees it doesn't never work.😂

    I hate getting emails that are really long and wordy. I prefer bullet points. I feel like if someone has something that long to say they should just walk over or call me hahaha.

      @AdrianaGirdler  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Makeda I totally agree, bullet points make things easy and to the point. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
