Vac tool is a must. Got a mutt vac but I like your smaller homelite tool better. Think I am going to build one. My wife has a couple old BP cuffs and I have pressure gauges, just need the brass. Thanks Leon

Could the other cleaner be "Bar keepers Friend"? It's like comet or Ajax, but containes oxylic acid. This is just about the only product that you can buy in Canada that contains oxylic acid. This is great stuff for removing stains like tanin in gelcoat. Yeah the close up is great

Think the stuff you trying to think of is called "Barkeeps Friend"...sorta like the Ajax in a sprinkle can...

Ya the news is crazy but it's the weekend and we still have our chainsaws. That mv8500 is a must if you work on any machine.
I was literally having the same exact issue today with an HK5(Roper 2.5). Finally after messing with the damn needle, pivot arm, spring + another sacrificial carb - I finally got it after at least an hour.

Go to a Harley Davidson store and get a tube of Simi Polish. That will clean those carb fuel valve seats like a mirror. Use a qutip in a drill.

Thanks Leon, I've got an order that can go with it as well. I learned alot from your video, but I sure wouldn't have felt comfortable replacing the check valve.

Thank you for the three detailed carb videos. I have a small lawn biz and deal with the zama carbs a lot for my stihl equipment. I bought a pressure tool and your video describes a good process for troubleshooting. I like that last part explaining the reassembly under pressure. Good stuff right there!

Had the same problem a week ago with a Walbro WA19A (1977 vintage?). Put a kit in it due to stiff components, but it continued to slow-leak. Also did the carburetor cleaner spray which helped some, but I like the honing idea presented on the video. Reassembled the carb and the saw seems to run fine now, but not being able to fix the slight fuel leak is annoying.

I had that problem I screwed my high and low adjustment screws all the way in to reseat the seal and then backed em back out two full turns and it stopped the leak. Once it was running then I fine tune the adjustment screws to where it was running good.

Made a tester just like yours with a old blood pressure tester and cheap gauge and a T fitting

I have a question for ya that you if anyone might know , my 1050 has the number 101394 and I can't figure out what the 4 is for .

Hard to say...Homelite never published anything that I know of that explains the 6th digit. It was optional equipment, like a carry case or such, but on a 1050 I'm not sure what that would have been!
