ninety percent of the issues you describe regarding to the M203 are directly airsoft related. I had several airsoft M203s before enlisting. In basic we had a single day at a range to learn the concept and fire chalk training rounds. When I got to my unit they were slowly replacing the M203s with M320s. I made friends with the armorer and convinced him to issue me one of the last M203s we had in lieu of the M320 I was supposed to have as a team leader. As a result I stopped using airsoft M203s because of how horrifically terrible they feel, attach and operate compared to the real thing. The barrel of a real M203 has zero wobble. The trigger guard is nearly impossible to dislodge without unlocking the barrel clamp and sliding the whole thing forward. Also the hefty recoil means you DONT want to be shouldering the rifle normally while firing. Tucking the stock under your arm and grasping the magazine with your right hand as an ersatz pistol grip for the 203 allows you to safely fire it without injury or knocking yourself off balance. This is presumably why your XM148 quadrant sight is so adjustable, so as to allow the shooter to align it with their line of sight while firing from a kneeling position while tucking the stock between the torso and the bicep.
Wish more airsoft companies made unique grenade launchers. Like the ones for the AUG, MP5, MP7 and G3.

In the book _Death in the Delta: Diary of a Navy Seal,_ SEAL Gary R. Smith mentions how he actually preferred the XM148 over the M203 during his operations in Vietnam. He disliked how, just as you had mentioned in the video, having to take his right hand off of the rifle's pistol grip to fire the M203 was slower and less accurate than he could be with the XM148. He found the ability to just move his trigger finger an inch forward to actuate the trigger linkage and fire the launcher quickly to be nifty. After fielding it for a bit, he ended up swapping back to the XM148.
*Also wanted to add, SEAL Darryl Young mentioned in his own book that his team preferred the XM148 as they deemed it "more dependable" compared to the other launchers. (He also included that they managed to fit one onto a Stoner 63a, which would've been quite a sight to see...) Even with how finicky and complex the launcher was, it seems the SEALs really liked it and made good use of 'em.

I'm actually like loosing it this is so cool. I remember playing BFV and using the xm148, and to see it in airsoft is just insane. Such an amazing piece of history
The Xm148 was not in BFV, seeing as WWII precedes the XM148 by over 20 years

I know VFC's FAL is the wrong pattern but please mount this to one and make an Australian b*tch gun L1A1 build! You're the only channel I know of who would be crazy enough to make one and do it right

I feel like for the m733 the m203 makes more sense for accuracy and xm148 for Vietnam era builds

What did you do to the back crescent shaped attach point to get it to fit? This part doesn't fit on my classic Army M16.
Dremeled out as needed to clear. The XM148 is designed for the VFC GBBRs so modification may be needed for it to work with an AEG.
