I am putting casters on the bottom of a wall cabinet and a raw-edged slab of marble for a butcher block countertop. It will be an island for my small kitchen. On wheels, I can move it out of the way or close for extra work space when needed.
OMGosh! Please share pictures!!!!! You can share them to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
Yes, so handy! We did the same with an IKEA Kallax 4x4 cabinet and it is now a floating island in our kitchen.
WOW moraine, I'm so excited you got this all together for us !!! something for everyone! Spring coming I'm anxious to implement some of those great ideas! I truly enjoy every video, thank you so very
Ps I'm not sure how to spell your name.. Moreen?? Help
@joaniekurpik5280 You are so welcome! It's Norrine 💐
There was enough crafty eye candy to get anyone's creative side inspired!
LOL Right???? Love so many of them.
That dollhouse idea is genius!
And so cute!!!! I need a reason to make one! LOL
Wow! Such awesome ideas! I screen shot enough for 3 years of fun projects! I better start looking for furniture to up cycle!
Right???? That's why I shared them - I figured I couldn't be the only one loving them! LOL
My husband created a lovely bench out of an old crib during our lockdown time. It has two wonderful drawers and is so beautiful that I use it in our living room. I use the drawers for seasonal throws and pillow covers. Now I have a twin size head and foot board we would like to turn into a small end table and maybe a wall shelf.
I love that! Please share pictures if you do!!! You can share them to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
I cannot even begin to pick my favorite as so many of the ideas were absolutely fabulous!! WOW...who woulda thunk!
I keep trying to find low things for your space!!!! LOL
Awe thanks! I appreciate you!@@TheCraftyOrganizer
Oh, so many great ideas!
Thank you!!!!
So many great ideas Norrine! My craft table is a sewing table that opens up to about 5 ft long and almost 2 ft in width. It doesn't have drawers underneath but I do have some baskets filled with craft stuff. I've been struggling with how to store my 12 x 12 paper pads which are currently on the floor. But I think I have a solution. We have an old, and I mean old, stereo system in a cabinet, even has a glass door. Nothing is working anymore so I am going to get rid of the turntable, the tape player and the radio part of it. It has 4 shelves that will be perfect storage for those paper pads! There is a small section of wall in my craft room that my hubby needs to fix and when he finally gets it done then I can move the stereo cabinet into that corner! Always a work in progress in the craft room! Thanks for sharing and getting me inspired! 😍
Diane!!! That would be an amazing upcycle!!!! Please let me know if you do it!!!!
Please donate your stereo system. Those are desirable and usually pretty easy to repair for those that know how. I used a record cabinet for my 12 x 12s, but had to go to crates because I got a new turntable. 😊
I just wish I had the space to house these upcycled things :0) x
Me too!!!!! I can't do many of these - but hope to someday!
I have a covered front porch that is delightfully shady in Summer. I added a cabinet that I painted a complimentary color. It has a few drawers at the top and doors below. That storage space really adds to creature comfort. It holds items like paper towels, dog brushes, scissors, etc. the odds and ends I like to have handy and not keep running indoors to fetch. Oh and I added casters so the cabinet is easy to move around.
SOOO smart! And I'll bet it makes the space look so beautiful!
I absolutely LOVE all of these ideas! As a hint for the hummingbird feeder (stock photo probably) NEVER use dyed hummingbird food from the store! The red dye is very bad for them! I love feeding hummingbirds! I use a 1 to 5 ratio of sugar to water. Boil the water, add sugar, stir to disolve and allow to cool. For fall I use a 1 to 4 ratio of sugar to water as hummingbirds need more fuel for migration needs! Always change the feeders at least twice a week with a thorough cleaning of the feeder! I’ve found that those plastic or metal straw cleaner brushes work the best for cleaning all of the tiny areas in a hummingbird feeder! 😊😊😊
Ohhh thank you SO very much for sharing this vital information about feeding the precious lil hummingbirds❣️ One last point is, take your feeders in if its going to freeze at night or temps drop. I seen a poor lil hummingbird stuck on a feeder by his tongue! I pray the person knew how to remove it without hurting it or injuring it further. Bless your heart for caring for these little blessings God gives us in His creation to admire❣️💜
@@CharmaineSkaggs208 the reason the hummingbirds tongue was stuck was due to either the use of dye or spoiled syrup… so sad!!! Thais is a condition that can happen in both scenarios… 😞😞😞
@shellycarter155 - Thank you so much for the great information!!!! I want those sweet little friends healthy. 💮
I love all of these! Can’t pick a favorite. Thank you again for bringing such inspiration!
Thanks for being here with me!
I really love repurposing dated furniture into new uses, like old entertainment centers made before flat-screen, super slim TVs were invented and baker’s racks that were so popular in kitchens back in the day.
Another cool upcycle that I saw a few creators do is change dated furniture into doggy/kitty “mansions” for them, and they were adorable.
That would be so cute!!!! Thanks for mentioning that! I'll have to go look now. :)
Love! Love! Love! ❤❤❤
Yay! Thank you!
Great video and so many great ideas! My mom in law turned an old TV armoire into a lighted bar with a glass shelf. Super nice!
I love that idea!!!
It NEVER would have occurred to me to upcycle a door. I removed my closet door a few years ago, but I never actually got rid of it because it's a solid slab of material and I felt bad throwing it away. It's just been hanging out behind my tallest furniture against the door. But seeing all these amazing ideas you showed just blew my mind. Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!!!! If you make it into something, please send me pictures :)
Omg I want to make them all!!! Love this.
That's my issue too!!!! LOL
Fantastic ideas!❤ Thank you so very much!❤
You are so welcome!
Oh, the possibilities!!!!❤😊
Right??? Now I just need the items and the space! LOL
Oh, I just love all the great recycle ideas. Thanks for the inspiration.
You are so welcome!!!! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for all your hard work and sharing your findings! Such great ideas, like someone said. Excellent crafters eye candy! ❤😂
That term makes me laugh - crafty eye candy! Love it!
Excellent ideas!
Thank you so much!
ALL of these ideas are genius! Wow! Especially the old tv cabinets…wall units…impressive! Thank you for sharing!
Sooo many fabulous ideas for my new home!!!
Yay!!!! Have fun and let me know what you make!
What amazing ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, friend!
3:01 This is my absolute favorite out of all the projects.
11:21 This is my second favorite. How sweet!
I knew someone who actually created his own business in the early 1990's by taking old TV consoles like these and turning them into aquariums. This was long before "Tanked" ever came out.
OH MY GOSH! I love the idea of an aquarium TV!!! How cute!!! Is he still in business???
@@TheCraftyOrganizer I'm not sure if he is. I used to go to school with both him and his wife. The last I heard from them was around 2007 before we moved to another city.
I think it was a really clever idea back in the 1990's, but with the reality shows that have come around since then, I'm guessing he probably has a "side" job or two. 😀
Bummer! I wanted to see them. I still love the idea. Thanks for chatting with me.
These are so fun! Thank you for sharing :)
Thank so much for watching!
I LOVE alot of these ideas.
We were wanting to get our (I'll call it a)dish cabinet out of the garage and replace it with a shelving unit.
We put a "free sign" on it...and, as that unit was being hauled down the driveway....A gentleman spoke for it....YAYYYY...WIN-WIN....He needed to make it over for his dog(dog bed area)....and, we needed to let it go.
Interestingly enough, we needed to move out a small bedside table...it became a "cat hideout".
I tell you what...those old pieces of furniture were made so well....I, like you, LOVE to see them being made over again. 😃
That saying, one mans trash is another mans treasure.... it's SO TRUE!!!!
SO MANY things to see and oh so cute!! I love these compilation videos you do! Well, I enjoy ALL of your videos, it’s fun to see your creativity!
Thank you, Leslie!!!!!
I got a bank of old lockers in great shape on FB Marketplace that I use in my laundry room to store cleaning and other misc items. I labeled each one with a Dymo labler and love the vintage look, not to mention how functional they are. The only roadside find I ever saved was a little two-shelf book case that I drilled holes with a paddle bit in the top and corresponding holes in the second shelf for long handles of gardening implements to slide through. It is out in my garage holding rakes, shovels, brooms, hoes, etc.
I know where I live is unusual - but it's almost daily that I drive by something!
I have never been so lucky to find any kind of furniture on the side of the road!
Oh my goodness, Norrine, all of those ideas are amazing upcycles! You have definitely given me a lot to think about!🤔😊❤️ As always, thank you for sharing all of your ideas with us! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
We are looking to move - and the areas we are looking at have to have: Dollar Tree, Thrift Stores, WalMart, and neighborhoods that throw stuff out! LOL TRUE STORY!!!
I did! Thank yolu so much!!!!!
@jamieandrick6541 Good to know. Thank you.😊
OMG!!! You have really inspired me to make some of these items. There are lots of free things I see all the time to get started with! Thank you so much!! I love the hummingbird chandler and the dog bed TV cabinets!
I'm so glad! Let me know if you make something!
Hello my favorite person. ❤
Hello 😊 Have a great day.
Great ideas. Today's Quote:"Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." - Maya Angelou.Huge HUGS! Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Can't wait to see what you do with the head and foot boards. A bench for the garden would be nice
That's what I am thinking! Thanks for being here with me.
WOW!! My mind is blown at all these great ideas and I cannot wait to see your upcoming upcycling projects! 😃
It may take me a while to find some of the items.... but I can't wait either!!!!
@@TheCraftyOrganizer ♥️♥️♥️
My word. What a great video
Thank you!
Oh girl!! The stuff I've found IN MY VERY OWN SHED this past month! Just... WOW!! I totally forgot about so many pieces that had been buried ten or more years ago. 59 days 'til we drive away!
I thought of you today when I was using oven cleaner to strip paint from my old dining room chairs! It really works! In fact, better than two cans of "real" stripper! 😲🤷🙌
Hugs sweetie 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Holy cow!!!! 59 days?!?!?! And, how did I not know about oven cleaner???? How??!! Amazing.
I absolutely loved this video. So so many ideas. Wow!
I'm gonna need more space. LOL
I -think-on the black and white dresser that you liked, which is beautiful! The flowers might be a type of cardboard molding, I forgot the official name. But when heated , you can mold it, bend it, to anything or just apply it like on the dresser and paint. Maybe that’s not what is used on this particular piece, but it’s an option. I’ve never used it, but I’ve seen it on a DIY video. I think the lady bought it at her local HomeDepo. She also showed how you can heat it up and shaped it to mold it around a planter. She used a heat tool, but said a hair dryer on a hot setting could work too. Hope this helps 😊
I'll have to look. I thought that was just a gorgeous item! Thanks for the info.
Other youtubers I watch use cold porcelain in molds for decorating their crafts. I personally have also used hot glue and paintable fast drying silicone caulk (which takes a heck of a lot longer than hot glue). If you don't get these products in the molds perfectly, there will be little 'pockets' in your project. Since my crafts tend to look vintage, I don't mind this, because (to me) it looks like "nicks" in the final product as if it were well used.
Also, by watching this video you gave me an idea for using some folding doors to use in my show booth.
I am also trying to figure out something to do with my children's old crib.
Thank you. 💕
That is so smart!!!! Hot Glue is genius! Thank you!!! And I am SO glad you got an ideas for your show booths!!!! YAY!
I used the crib sides as a drying rack in my laundry room. They are hinged so I can fold them flat when not in use.
Genius!!!!
Thank you so much for all that you do! These ideas are so exciting! Can’t wait till you get settled in your new home and share your journey with us! May God bless you!
So nice to have all these wonderful ideas in one spot! We have one of those console tv cabinets and it has a cover in the front that slides up into the top. We put a shelf in it for our printer and we have a charging station in there. My Victrola lives on the top of it.
OH MY GOSH! I love that!!!
Hi, Norinne! Loved this video! So many cute ways to repurpose furniture! I get excited at these types of videos. I have always tried to repurpose my furniture. I have a little cupboard my mother had(I believe a child’s cupboard). It’s a dark green but it fits perfect in my kitchen for extra storage for my small appliances. It has a couple of shelves where I keep my crockpot on one shelf, and kitchen decorations on another. Also has room for my glass cake stand that I put paper plates on. Easy reach. Thanks again!🌷🐰💜
Oh, I love that!!!!! And even more special that it was your Mom's. 💜
I’m Always on the 👀 out on the side of the road. Scored a nice dresser for my crafts! Couple of chairs which I used the spindles for candles! All free too. Found a modern floor lamp that worked. Just needed some glue to hold the glass vase on. Free! It’s amazing what people throw away. These are incredible ideas. Thanks for sharing Norrine. ❤😊
It blows my mind!!!!!! I get so dang excited about free finds!!!! LOL
Love your ideas.
Thank you, Judy! 💐
. Ove these ideas. Can't wait to see what you do with those headboards. Have a great day.
Thank you!!! I can't wait to see either. LOL
Great ideas❤
Thank you!
Hello my friend,
such awesome ideas 👏👏👏
Keep up the great work, inspiring and encouraging us as you always do!!!
I’m hoping your Easter was blessed
🥰✝️
Until next time ❤️😀
Always nice to see you. Thank you friend!
Love these ideas! That tire rim hose holder is amazing… but then you would have to get a pink hose to go with it! 😂
Right?! And I would do that too! LOL
You are amazing. ❤
I can't take credit! These were all amazing ideas that I just shared. :)
Hi Norine , I seen someone on TH-cam use a hot glue gun and loads of glue sticks with silicon moulds to make lovely mouldings and decor plus they dry very quickly then you can paint them 😉👍😁🌼 p.s I love all of these old furniture makeovers thanks for sharing them huni 😘💛
It's funny, I have about 6 molds in my Amazon wish list right now..... saving up to get them!
Fantastic suggestions! I would never have thought of most of these ideas!
Glad you like them!
So many great ideas!! This was one of my favorite videos for upcycling! 🥰😍🤩
Yay! So happy you liked it!
Wow lots of great ideas!
Thank you!
So many fun ideas!! I'm really looking forward to seeing your lamp/outdoor light fixture upcycle. I love when you make these kind of videos!! 💕
Thank you, Darla!!!
Love all of your ideas!! Keep them coming.
More to come!
Hello Norrine. What fantastic ideas! Although I never seem to find beauties as these on the side of the road or thrift stores, I love them none the less. TYFS
We were visiting another state... and we didn't see a single curbside find. Guess I am just in a lucky place.
Wow so many great ideas
Thank you!
Thanks Norine, I love this video , Terrific ideas❤
Thank you!
Loved this video and all the examples you provided!! I love your channel too ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!!!! Happy to have you here with me.
Hi lady... So many great ideas❤
Hi, Vaye!!!!! Thank you, my friend!
Thank you, I grab all the stuff on the side of the road and ReCreate it to keep stuff from the landfill. My mini business is called ReCreation
I love that!!!!! Can you send me a link? I looked, but hhere are a few companies named that. :)
Great ideas. Many of which I desperately need. Only thing is that I already have so much stuff and my husband would have a fit if I picked up anything else to bring into our house
My poor husband has no idea what he's in for. LOL
I’ve used old doors and placed them on file cabinets to make a desk.
That is such a great use for them!!!! And, wow! So much work space!!!
@@TheCraftyOrganizer could also use as a dining room table with something else for legs. Maybe drill legs from another piece of furniture.
I love these ideas!
Thank you so much!
Love the ideas!
Thank you, Becki!
Loved your ideas. Would love to do the hose holder
So would I!!! Surprisingly cute!
Love all the ideas!
Thank you!!
Great ideas, thank you.

I live in the Bootheel of Missouri and our flea markets and used furniture still sell cribs. I didn't realize that some states prevented selling them st used stores. Love yourideas.

WOW, great video Norrine!! Honestly, two seconds into the video, I gave you a thumbs up! That's because I knew it was going to be one that I would watch over and over again to get wonderful ideas! Thank you!
Yay!!! I am so glad you liked it!
Such great ideas
Thank you!
Would love to see up-cycled china hutch ideas if you come across any of those!
Oh... I really hope I can find one!!!!
I'm keeping this video to look at for inspiration. So many great ideas!!
Thank you, Phyllis!
Hi there Norrine, I love these ideas! I have a small coffee cart - former sewing machine cabinet. It is in my kitchen right now. I added a bottom shelf for storage and wheels so it is easily moved around if needed. I think my favorites were using the old doors.
Have a good night. Similar to other comments, don't have the space but if I did...
I love that you are already using your sewing cabinet!!!! Thanks for sharing!
@@TheCraftyOrganizer
I've had this for about 7 years and I love it. Thrift find!
I love all your videos, and idk if anyone else feels the same but I use your videos as ASMR. Your voice is soothing so I turn the volume down a little and watch, listen, and off to sleep I go. It's hard to see all your neat ideas though lol, so I have to watch more than once.
That is so sweet!!!! Thank you 💜
Wow! You did it again, Norrine! Loved these ideas so I saved the video. Hopefully I can use some of them soon. Thank you ❤
I'm hoping to find many of the items to get to work on too!!
Iron Orchid Design molds with air dry clay for the flowers for the DiY u wanted to do
OMGosh! Thank you!!!!!
Absolutely loved this video. It’s right up my alley. I’ve had some of these saved for a while but was thrilled to see so many new ideas as well. Thanks so very much for sharing. ❤❤❤❤ 😊
You are so welcome!!!!
I'm getting back into things...I lost my younger brother suddenly a couple weeks ago and it's been a struggle....
OH!!! I am so sorry to hear that!!!! Sending you extra hugs. I'm so sorry.
❤
I love SO many of these ideas! I'm saving this video. Thanks! ❤
So glad! Thank you!
💕
Love the things you unfortunately i dont have much room in my 2bedroom flat no yard to work in or basement live in uk England where i have downside from house to flat but nowhere to put anything i watch all your videos really great
Thank you for watching 💐
You can use old pieces of wood and put a food safe epoxy on them. We do this all the time for making cutting boards as well!! I will be on the look out now. Thank you 💕💕
So good to know!!!! Thank you!!!!
Absolutely incredible! I love all these ideas!!! Any thoughts for a gun cabinet? It’s a nice piece of furniture but it’s so tall & shallow…
Perfect for displaying and storing quilts and/or blankets!
Thanks for showing all these ideas. Such fun! 😊
Thank you, Beth!
Now I am on the look out for old shutters
Right??? I just loved so many of these ideas.
I just inherited 5 (FIVE!) sewing machine cabinets and wondered what to do with them. Thank you!
Oh my gosh!!!! You are so lucky!!!! Let me know what you do!
Hello Norrine :) Oh my goodness, wonderful ideas and inspiration ! Thanks so much for sharing ! irissavedbygrace
I’m so glad you liked them!! 💜
❤❤ love it..
Love all of these ideas. I had an old singer sewing machine table like the one you showed.. I put in my garden for potted plants and had vines going up the side and in thru the wrought iron base.
As for the furniture and the molds, you are exactly right. Molds and soft, air dried clay. The results are gorgeous. I’m not sure if I’m ‘allowed’ to put a company name in here. I’m new to TH-cam and not sure of the etiquette. If I can, let me know. And I will provide it for you. Thanks for sharing all of these ideas! I love the dresser on its side! What a fantastic idea
I love any and all ideas and suggestions - so name drop all you want! :) Thanks for watching!
Go to IOD Iron Orchid Designs. They have amazing molds, decoupage papers, stencils etc. there are many different types of air dry clay out there … you just need to find one that works for you. Hope you can find some good info there.
I will!!!! Thank you so much.
Hi Norrine,
So many great idea. I love the fact that the up-cycled items are used in unique ways that allow them to “live” and they don’t add to the landfill. I’m pretty sure there are some items that my mom has that won’t fit in her retirement apartment, but can be repurposed into something that could still be used. Thank you for sharing all of these ideas.
PS
I remember how you cleverly separated your living room into two spaces. Such a great idea. 👍
That's amazing! Let me know if you upcycle any of those items!!!
Did I miss the one where you hid the power strip? I love your up cycles and wood projects
I got distracted by my new laser machine. 😳 It's going up this week!!!!
@@TheCraftyOrganizer Im looking forward to those as well!
