A G it’s really nice to see that you and your family enjoyed my country of origin, even though I live in New York for the last 42 years, Great Vlogs keep up the great work!
Love your videos I just want to point something out for you: “gyros” is the meat that is grilled on the vertical spit roast and it is usually served in a pita or on a platter. What you had at Lefteris was a spicy patty in a pita, in Athens we would call that a “pita bifteki” which means patty in a pita, which falls under the general category of “souvlaki”. In nothern Greece they are a little more strict with their terminology and they would just call it “pita bifteki”. Have fun and keep posting!
Buddy if I keep watching this I'm gonna start drooling all day !! Dude I need some Gyros, Souvlaki, or some Meat Platter or some Greek Style Lamb Chops.
Haha, it's been so long since we visited Athens that our own videos are making us drool!! The Greek food cravings are so intense!! Thanks for watching :))
I have been eating the pitta bifteki from Politis since I was a baby. It is the BEST. And made traditionally, without tzatziki and chips.it's a pity you did not go to Stand which is just around the corner. Amazing Greek yogurt and the best galaktoboureko too
@@locavore_eats Cool (got a sense you had a STEM related job from your excitement when talking about the “mechanism”. Love your guy’s videos. Started watching the Wellington related ones.
etickets.tap.gr/ We got it from the official government website above. Feel free to hit us up with any more questions. Hope you have an incredible time!!
@@locavore_eats thank you! Loved your vlogs seeing the food. Hopefully all will be well for us to travel UK have been harsh not allowing non quarantine travel to alot of countries. Hope to get to and stop at a couple the places you went to . Are you able to use the multi ticket across 2 days ? We are there Fri to Sun
@@steveb1086 Great that you get to travel to Greece at least! I hope you enjoy the spots we went to if you do go. And for the combo pass, yes it's valid for 5 days I believe, so plenty of time.
@@locavore_eats We at the very last minute cancelled our trip so gutted. We were concerned about the entry testing in place and someone on our flight could test positive and affect our break we are not able to quarantine if we were asked plus Sunday there is a scheduled air strike too. Have to replan the trip :(
@@locavore_eats Thanks for the reply my advice would be- since you love food and history is to find a fun food fact of the place you are visiting ,blend and the 2 elements together and wow your audience with that fact. An example would be if you are in Spain and you know you will be eating paella visit a crocus farm before and explain to your audience how saffron is harvested. Or if you are back to in Italy and eating cacio de Pepe again visit 2 cheese factorys one parmesan the other pecorino and explain to your audience the difference is between the 2 cheeses and what dishes they are both used in.This will really distinguish you from the other food vloggers out there. Wish you the best.
