Bts live is a very different experience from their music videos. They have songs that aren’t really my style of music but once I see them perform it live for some reason I start loving it

They're not breaking up!! They shared an hour conversation, which was meant to be personally adressed towards ARMY. It wasn't directed towards the world or media as a statement. They opened their hearts that they were seriously going to a rough time as artists, appearing broken and tears going down their pretty faces. They very carefully considered and explained what will change for them, which is not breaking up!! They'll continue group activities as well!! After media and people twisted their words, RM shared a lengthy statement basically saying "dont you dare try to touch my members, my fans and my words". It is fcking sad people are taking this openhearted conversation and cut it up, clipped it, rolled it in sugar and threw it around the world. This converstion was only meant to be from BTS to make sure ARMYs dont get worried, because we have been with them for 9 years, and we know all of their releasing and writing habits. What's changing is as followed: In the Korean industry it is expected that you release full music projects at least 2x to 3x a year if not more. BTS have kept this up till 2021, having done over 19 projects in less than 9 years. It's very intense to push out this amount of content, and they felt they've reached their limit of squeezing out their art. Now I believe they're transitioning to more "western" standards, where they spend more time on each project. Ofcourse I don't know how long they'll take, and the thing is neither do they. They felt like they needed to have this conversation with us, because they felt guilty they might not meet our expectations and have us going "when's the music coming". Additionally, they carefully explained they'll also start doing official solo projects, instead of just mixtapes on soundcloud. It's because they're reaching new levels, and their solo productions and ambitions reach far beyond the "format" of a mixtape. It's also since it's financially limiting to release on soundcloud, and their production budgets. They've always been supportive to eachothers individual ambitions, and will continue to do so. Another reason why it was emotional, is because they have been living together for 12-13 years in an apartment and the contract of the apartment was ending. As they're now heading towards being 30 years old, they obviously are going to want to live seperately. So a lot of tears, but honestly only good news. For example, J-Hope is releasing his solo album in July and performing at Lollapalooza!!!
much appreciation to you for taking the time to explain (very frustrating, i understand). i think part of the problem is what was lost in translation. one of the English translations for Festa mentioned hiatus... yet, the guys said they'd still be doing group projects, giving the impression that they weren't going to do group performances together (Run BTS, etc.), so i could see how some of their words - and the fact that they were so emotional (felt like a long break/goodbye). but i like how you summed up the members' comments so well! they were trying to be so careful with their words, while speaking openly and vulnerably from the heart (seeing RM choke up nearly made me fall to pieces!!)... but for antis, click-baiters (mcn - ehem!) and media to run the narrative that BTS was disbanding is infuriating! that just taking advantage, wanting - or expecting - that BTS would disband like "other boy bands" (trying to compare to One Direction, who didn't get along much) is just a low blow. thanks again for setting everyone straight! ✌🤟💜

Guys every aspect of this video from gestures, clothing, sounds and backgrounds all harkened back to past BTS songs or MVs. It's a very nostalgic song and is part of the ongoing conversation and connection between BTS and Army. As Army, or course we know anything can happen, we trust their word that they will eventually come back as one after they explore and grow with solo albums. You may not know this but all along all members have created solo songs for albums and free on soundcloud. So, they all already have their own solo careers started. I would say the majority of Army are excited for each and every one of their solo works (no cap) but of course we all have our bias/biases that we might be just slightly more excited to see. I have no doubt they will all do well in their solo projects.

Proof is an anthology album and includes with old songs, unreleased and demos. Most of the songs have music videos. If you do a listen party you can watch the video. The 1st song on the album born singer release pre debut, was a cover of J.cole song born sinner. Which they got the yes to release the song. There is sooooo much content and songs that it would take while for you to get to everything. Also, Yet to Come music video has references to their old music video. That video was full of nostalgia for ARMY. Proof is a good way to learn what BTS music was about. So I think it’s perfect for a listening party if you want to learn about them. 💜

The music video was packed with a lot of references to their past music videos as they were reminiscing on their 9 year long music journey as a group that you wouldn't get as a new fan. Yes you should listen to the whole proof album. It's an anthology album and I think they are the first group so far since The Beatles to release an anthology album...they said the album is sort of like an introduction to anyone who is interested in BTS...it includes songs from their past albums in chronological order.

just think of this time as a way to catch up with more of their work!! they'll still be releasing content as a group while also releasing songs as solo artists but you can take this "break" as an opportunity to get to know more of their music and themselves because there is so much to see and hear. as of now, jungkook is set to release a collab song with Charlie Puth on the 24th, and J-Hope is planning on dropping his solo debut album in the middle of July right before his solo performance at Lalapalooza :)
they have been together as group for 9 years and unlike other american boy groups they have done solo projects as a group the rappers all have mixtapes and the singers have made multiple solo songs and written osts for kdramas, this hiatus is basically them not putting out so much stuff as a group to concentrate more in their solo activities which is releasing solo albums not just that others may start trying others things like collabs, modeling ,acting like V who already participated in a kdrama before, armys are just gonna get even over more music and content this year im excited
Some other groups did solo projects and BTS been doing only group projects for the past nine years. I love that they're focusing more on solo projects. They don't even need to said that to ARMYs but they still did which is amazing. I love each of them and looking forward to all their solos, they all have different styles.

Yeah yall pretty much nailed it. In classic bts fashion they wanted to give army a comforting reminder that this was not the end. Yet to come is exactly what they meant, and we'll be waiting patiently because stuff like this doesn't happen but once in a lifetime 💜
You should definitely watch the first and third song they performed in that set! I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy them, they're called "Born Singer" and "For Youth". Oh! please do react to the album! It's an Anthology album, from their beginings til now. Okay so! There's a lot misinformation. BTS are indeed going on a break, they are no longer living together, they will continue to have group activities (like their variety shows) but they won't be doing music together for a while because they don't know the route the band is taking at the moment, and they want to know who they are as individuals, as musicians on their own, so they will start working on solo projects seriously as their main thing and not their side things as they have been having solo projects since 2015. They truly want BTS to be forever, and they feel like for BTS to last for a long time they need go through this journey. Also as someone who's been into k-pop since 2006-7: This makes sense with the military service enlistment, Jin mentioned his album might be the last one released, which makes sense because his extension from enlistment ends in a couple of months and will have to enlist by the end of the year. So this announcement of a break makes sense with the mandatory military service they have to go through, they will go one by one or in sets, I don't think they will go all together. So considering enlistment is a minimum of 18 months, BTS will be back in 3 to 4 years and ARMY will be here, waiting.

im so happy to hear that bts is just going to be working on solo music for a bit but still do group stuff like run bts show. i can't wait to hear new music from all seven of them and see them grow in their music and journey. i've been on this journey with them since 2015 and will always be with them. if you guys want to know more about their solo work, here's some information: RM- his mixtape 'RM' in 2015 where he talks about reflecting on his doubt and internal struggles while also affirming his belief in himself as a talented rapper. the mixtape contained three singles: “Do You,” “Awakening” and “Joke.” he followed up later with another mixtape, 'Mono' in 2018. this time around, the rapper went for a more collaborative effort with writing and producing the tracks, tapping Honne, Supreme Boi, Sam Klempner, Hiss Noise, Adora and more to craft the mixtape’s more introspective sound. “Forever Rain” was released as the only single from the body of work. The boys only recently had a Christmas spend with family again in years. I guess that says enough about how much time they spend together. I love that they will finally be doing some solo stuff. Honestly I love them and it's always OT7. But it's going to be fun to hear and see the differences. Proof is a look through their years as BTS so far. It's fun to go back and listen through it again. The only new songs are Yet To Come, Run BTS and For Youth. While Spotify only has that list, the actual album includes demo's as well.
They have released solo stuff before, more from the rappers but now they will all have full solo albums coming out. You should check the older solo stuff out, as well as older BTS as a whole. Can’t wait to watch as your appreciation for them grows. They’re truly so different from what we are used to for “boy bands” here.

First of all, we still have a lot of things to do as a group and just..the bangtan dinner, I think, was a comfortable setting where we talked about our future plans while talking about ourselves. And that just means that we'll be doing individual activities and it absolutely does NOT mean that we won't do/work as BTS. But, now, l'm sure the people who saw the Bangtan dinner [already] know this, but I thought that the people who couldn't see it may, perhaps, misunderstand, so l'm telling you once again:We don't have any thoughts on disbanding. Yes they've been living together for 10/13 years! They are moving apart only now as they approach their 30s... they definitely need that time to focus on their indivuduality, figure out who they are as individuals and artists the youngest joined when he was 13 so that's basically all he knows.. If you wanna see their premises and get to know their story there's a TH-cam series called the Rise of Bangtan! Quality documentary it has 23 episodes (the 23rd is being created as we speak)... I highly recommend Once you'll understand their dynamic, their purpose, drive and their bond you understand that they are far from disbanding ✌🏾 Of course they can't share everything but they've always been very open and transparent with fans when it comes to their hardships and they truly live up to their words.. so as they said they are still BTS but the company will promote them individually for now. They are at the top but feel like they've lost themselves (their english songs don't reflect their sound and artistry), so they need to take a step back, live, love, experience to reset healthy foundations for a long-lasting BTS and basically then rejoin forces like the Avengers

thing about BTS is that no matter how easy it would be to compare them to stereotypical "boy bands" (i did the same thing, btw), once you learn more about them, you'll see what makes them so different. if you look at their massive discography (all BTS members are songwriters/producers/composers), you'll see that each member has already released solo projects within the BTS umbrella before (for their group albums), while also releasing free mixtapes for their fans via soundcloud, etc.... but they always remained loyal to "BTS". what's different this time is, trying to write for the group + solos (for personal/artistic growth), on top of all their group projects + performances/choreo, is burning them out. high demand = high expectations, and they don't want to risk quality/integrity of their work (let alone, their individual mental or physical health) as artists. in addition to their music-related projects, BTS also share their own variety shows they do together in S. Korea (like "Run BTS") + they do a lot of print work/model (they are Louis Vuitton brand ambassadors, among other brands), commercials, travel/reality shows, etc., that they may all be expected to continue doing to some degree (hence, the much needed/deserved "break" from their typical heavy schedule of group performances/traveling together, but not disbandment). and even tho they all have their own homes now, they had lived together since they were broke teens - for about 12-13 years, up until recent. yes, they're like family to one another (they say that all the time)... but even fam needs their space lol. the members all decided together that they each needed to venture out and explore solo work (instead of mixed tapes, or singles for their group albums), in order to find inspiration and growth to bring back to the table later down the road. BTS had only taken 3 breaks to themselves throughout their 9-10 year career, going hard the entire time. and then there's the very real expectation of mandatory military service coming up (S. Korea is still, technically, at war with N. Korea). at least the eldest member, Jin, will likely have to go to enlistment by the end of this year, so realistically, now's the time for the members to do their solo projects. as a side note, BTS were allowed to postpone their mandatory enlistment due to their massive contributions to their country - both economically (in the billions, annually) and culturally. their exemption has been a hot topic for several years now and is being contemplated by their country's government. i mean, who among us peasants can handle that kind of pressure...dang!🤯 anyway, i expect that each member is going to come up with amazing solo work. BTS being BTS, they take turns with their releases to give each member time to promote their own work, respectfully. JHope is the 1st to set out, w/ his aforementioned Lollapalooza concert (July 31st)/album release (mid-July)... i know i'm looking forward to it!
I'm excited for all of them they each have their own flavor and color. So this will be such an amazing chapter 2. Chapter 3 when they come together again will be AMAZING!!! I believe BTS will be fine. ARMY will support all 7 of them through this new stage. When they've found the answers they're searching for, BTS will rock the world all over again.
So here is what I know so far about their solo projects. *RM - Kim Namjoon* - Working on his Album, possibly a collaboration with Snoop Dogg, and he did say he needed some time by himself to think and not have to do group writing, producing and schedules, so that he can focus on writing on his own solo work. He is one of the main songwriters for BTS. He's one of my Bias' *JIN - Kim Seokjin* - He says that he thinks his will be the last album to be released, but he is enjoying his rest right now. He's gaming and taking some down time. But he has been working on songs. *SUGA - Min Yoongi* - He just released a project/song with PSY called THAT, THAT - Suga wrote, produced, and featured on it, as well as danced and performed in the music video. He is working on his Album, and he has a very tight schedule. He said the reason is so when the group comes back together, he will be ready to go on tour. SUGA is a highly sought after producer and songwriter. He's my Bias Wrecker. *J Hope - Jung Hoseok* - He is releasing his Album mid- July, and he will be headlining at Lollapalooza on July 31, 2022. He has an hour long set, and I hear that it's already sold out, but I don't know. I know there are a lot of ARMY's that are going to support him. He is one of my Bias's. *JIMIN - Park Jimin* - He talked about working with other members of the group and that he is working on a song right now for his album. He thinks he will be releasing his Album before V. He's another Bias wrecker. *V - Kim Taehyung* - He talked about his album, and he has a full album right now that he could release, but he is not satisfied with what he has, so he is still working on more songs. V tends to throw a song away if it doesn't seem to flow with his album. SUGA tried convincing him to just release it. We will see. I do know that he has an IN THE SOOP variety show planned with his friend group. I don't know a lot about it, but he's been talking about it. *JUNGKOOK - Jeon Jungkook* - JK has said that he's been working on his music, we know he's been practicing drums lately, he just released a song for ARMY's for BTS FESTA 2022, called MY YOU, he wrote and produced. He's doing a collaboration with Charlie Puth, and it will be released very soon. There is a TikTok about the new song. JK and V both went on VLive separately, at different times, and reassured ARMY's that they are not on HIATUS and they will not be disbanding. RM and JIMIN both wrote Letters to ARMY's on WEVERSE reassuring them about the same thing. RM wrote an especially long letter, because he is the group leader and did most of the talking during their FESTA Dinner, which is when they shared what they were doing as a group and on their solo projects. 1st. They are not disbanding. Taking time off is different in US and in Kpop world. 2nd. The Album is an anthology album so the unusual items on MV is from their older MV. 3rd. They are a all or nothing group. Its 7 or nothing on commercials, projects and stuff. And that worked for 9 years and it gives no time for any members to rest since all of then works all at the same time 4th. They used to create songs and albums individually but its not an official release as its released free for fans. Now its released as an album and can be promoted. 5th. Next week, they will release schedule details of the Military service. Jin and Suga are up first. 6th. They would still show up as a group in some performances and even on their variety show RUN BTS.

I'm looking forward for all solo projects but specially RM, just because I love his playlist (mixtape) Mono. I love that type of music Also, Jhope is going to be the first one to drop music, next month, and he's performing at lo something palloza festival. Idk the name We don't know how long it will be but you need to remember that Korean men need to do military service and it last almost 2 years. Jin will be 30 in December and I don't know if it can delay the enlistment longer. But I assume they won't make music as a group for a while
they're still doing group activities together but will focus more on solo work for a while. AND ARMYS ARE VERY VERY EXCITED FOR EACH OF THE MEMBERS' SOLO PROJECTS!!! we're now planning out our strategy & preparation to chart each of the members music, and ARMYs schedule is even tighter now that the contents are 7x more than before. We only want what's best for our boys and we'll do everything we can to support them every step of the way!
No matter what this phase is called, the only fact that we know is that they won't be doing any group activities, specifically, musical performances, for the time being. They will still be doing (a few eps?) of Run BTS, their variety show - not the track - though, please do check that track out. But that's about it. Good thing about the break/hiatus/not-hiatus, is that we'll be seeing some really different music from each of the member, more bangtan appearances in various formats, and it'll be an honour to watch their growth in this second chapter.
Okay let me clear some things up: 1. They are not disbanding/going on Hiatus it was a translation error and both the company plus the members themselves have confirmed this 2. They all have solo songs already, so they are just making more solo music RM has two mixtapes SUGA has two mixtapes Jhope has one mixtape and is coming up with a album in the middle of next month And Jungkook, V, Jimin and Jin also all have solo music They've been making solo songs since literally the time they debuted, they also do subunits and sometimes collabs with other artists.
They aren't disbanding. They will have members enlisting in military by December or next year. Its mandatory that men serve 2 years before they're 30. They are putting out solo albums to show their individual styles.
All of them…we’re about to be 7 individual problems for the music industry!! This just gives us more opportunity to promote their solo careers and try to get them all at Billboard Hot 100 #1’s at the same time!! Don’t get me wrong, members do have solo fans, but ARMY itself belongs to BTS and we will support each and every one of them as if it was all of them every time something is out!! Hobi drops first and we’re about blow that album and the Lalapalooza performance UP!💜😂 And let’s be real - once their military service is over and the decide to be ONE again; it’s gonna be EPIKKKKKKK!!!! But they will still be doing group stuff…they’re not gonna be ‘entirely’ solo!

Bts live is a very different experience from their music videos. They have songs that aren’t really my style of music but once I see them perform it live for some reason I start loving it

They're not breaking up!! They shared an hour conversation, which was meant to be personally adressed towards ARMY. It wasn't directed towards the world or media as a statement. They opened their hearts that they were seriously going to a rough time as artists, appearing broken and tears going down their pretty faces. They very carefully considered and explained what will change for them, which is not breaking up!! They'll continue group activities as well!!
After media and people twisted their words, RM shared a lengthy statement basically saying "dont you dare try to touch my members, my fans and my words". It is fcking sad people are taking this openhearted conversation and cut it up, clipped it, rolled it in sugar and threw it around the world. This converstion was only meant to be from BTS to make sure ARMYs dont get worried, because we have been with them for 9 years, and we know all of their releasing and writing habits.
What's changing is as followed:
In the Korean industry it is expected that you release full music projects at least 2x to 3x a year if not more. BTS have kept this up till 2021, having done over 19 projects in less than 9 years. It's very intense to push out this amount of content, and they felt they've reached their limit of squeezing out their art.
Now I believe they're transitioning to more "western" standards, where they spend more time on each project. Ofcourse I don't know how long they'll take, and the thing is neither do they. They felt like they needed to have this conversation with us, because they felt guilty they might not meet our expectations and have us going "when's the music coming".
Additionally, they carefully explained they'll also start doing official solo projects, instead of just mixtapes on soundcloud. It's because they're reaching new levels, and their solo productions and ambitions reach far beyond the "format" of a mixtape. It's also since it's financially limiting to release on soundcloud, and their production budgets. They've always been supportive to eachothers individual ambitions, and will continue to do so.
Another reason why it was emotional, is because they have been living together for 12-13 years in an apartment and the contract of the apartment was ending. As they're now heading towards being 30 years old, they obviously are going to want to live seperately.
So a lot of tears, but honestly only good news. For example, J-Hope is releasing his solo album in July and performing at Lollapalooza!!!
much appreciation to you for taking the time to explain (very frustrating, i understand). i think part of the problem is what was lost in translation. one of the English translations for Festa mentioned hiatus... yet, the guys said they'd still be doing group projects, giving the impression that they weren't going to do group performances together (Run BTS, etc.), so i could see how some of their words - and the fact that they were so emotional (felt like a long break/goodbye). but i like how you summed up the members' comments so well! they were trying to be so careful with their words, while speaking openly and vulnerably from the heart (seeing RM choke up nearly made me fall to pieces!!)... but for antis, click-baiters (mcn - ehem!) and media to run the narrative that BTS was disbanding is infuriating! that just taking advantage, wanting - or expecting - that BTS would disband like "other boy bands" (trying to compare to One Direction, who didn't get along much) is just a low blow. thanks again for setting everyone straight! ✌🤟💜

Guys every aspect of this video from gestures, clothing, sounds and backgrounds all harkened back to past BTS songs or MVs. It's a very nostalgic song and is part of the ongoing conversation and connection between BTS and Army. As Army, or course we know anything can happen, we trust their word that they will eventually come back as one after they explore and grow with solo albums. You may not know this but all along all members have created solo songs for albums and free on soundcloud. So, they all already have their own solo careers started. I would say the majority of Army are excited for each and every one of their solo works (no cap) but of course we all have our bias/biases that we might be just slightly more excited to see. I have no doubt they will all do well in their solo projects.

Proof is an anthology album and includes with old songs, unreleased and demos. Most of the songs have music videos. If you do a listen party you can watch the video. The 1st song on the album born singer release pre debut, was a cover of J.cole song born sinner. Which they got the yes to release the song. There is sooooo much content and songs that it would take while for you to get to everything.
Also, Yet to Come music video has references to their old music video. That video was full of nostalgia for ARMY. Proof is a good way to learn what BTS music was about. So I think it’s perfect for a listening party if you want to learn about them. 💜

It's an anthology album and I think they are the first group so far since The Beatles to release an anthology album...they said the album is sort of like an introduction to anyone who is interested in BTS...it includes songs from their past albums in chronological order.

Some other groups did solo projects and BTS been doing only group projects for the past nine years. I love that they're focusing more on solo projects. They don't even need to said that to ARMYs but they still did which is amazing. I love each of them and looking forward to all their solos, they all have different styles.

Okay so! There's a lot misinformation. BTS are indeed going on a break, they are no longer living together, they will continue to have group activities (like their variety shows) but they won't be doing music together for a while because they don't know the route the band is taking at the moment, and they want to know who they are as individuals, as musicians on their own, so they will start working on solo projects seriously as their main thing and not their side things as they have been having solo projects since 2015. They truly want BTS to be forever, and they feel like for BTS to last for a long time they need go through this journey.
Also as someone who's been into k-pop since 2006-7: This makes sense with the military service enlistment, Jin mentioned his album might be the last one released, which makes sense because his extension from enlistment ends in a couple of months and will have to enlist by the end of the year. So this announcement of a break makes sense with the mandatory military service they have to go through, they will go one by one or in sets, I don't think they will go all together. So considering enlistment is a minimum of 18 months, BTS will be back in 3 to 4 years and ARMY will be here, waiting.

if you guys want to know more about their solo work, here's some information:
RM- his mixtape 'RM' in 2015 where he talks about reflecting on his doubt and internal struggles while also affirming his belief in himself as a talented rapper. the mixtape contained three singles: “Do You,” “Awakening” and “Joke.” he followed up later with another mixtape, 'Mono' in 2018. this time around, the rapper went for a more collaborative effort with writing and producing the tracks, tapping Honne, Supreme Boi, Sam Klempner, Hiss Noise, Adora and more to craft the mixtape’s more introspective sound. “Forever Rain” was released as the only single from the body of work.
SUGA- August D, his debut mixtape in 2016, it highlights his hardcore rap and underground influences with help from writer-producers Slow Rabbit, June, Pdogg and Supreme Boi. “Agust D” and “give it to me” were released as the two singles for the project. D-2 is his followed up mixtape in 2020, he started focusing on his experiences as a then-28-year-old as opposed to reflecting on his past.
JHOPE- solo debut, 'Hope World' arrived in 2018 and served as an introduction to him as a rapper outside of BTS and a reflection on his road to becoming a producer. the project, led by singles “Daydream” and “Airplane". he will be the first member to release a solo project since the announcement. he also did a collaboration with becky g with 'Chicken Noodle Soup' and even credited the original artists.
JIN- first solo track “Tonight” was shared as part of BTS’ annual festa party in 2019. he also released a wistful solo track in 2020 titled “Abyss,” which was a birthday gift from him to his fans. in the track, he discusses fading out into darkness, inspired in part by his struggles with feeling insecure about his music. he most recently lent his musical chops to the South Korean television drama series Jirisan and contributed the track “Yours” to the television show’s official soundtrack. his single "Super Tuna” additionally arrived on the singer’s 29th birthday, serving as a fun and playful gift to fans.
JIMIN- his first solo track, “Promise,” was released in 2018 via soundcloud. jimin also gave BTS ARMY a new christmas song to add to their rotation, sharing the sentimental - and seasonally appropriate - track “Christmas Love” just two days before christmas 2020. he also teamed up with former Wanna One member Ha Sung Woon for their collaborative track “With You,” released as part of the soundtrack for South Korean drama series Our Blues.

The boys only recently had a Christmas spend with family again in years. I guess that says enough about how much time they spend together.
I love that they will finally be doing some solo stuff. Honestly I love them and it's always OT7. But it's going to be fun to hear and see the differences. Proof is a look through their years as BTS so far. It's fun to go back and listen through it again. The only new songs are Yet To Come, Run BTS and For Youth. While Spotify only has that list, the actual album includes demo's as well.
They have released solo stuff before, more from the rappers but now they will all have full solo albums coming out. You should check the older solo stuff out, as well as older BTS as a whole. Can’t wait to watch as your appreciation for them grows. They’re truly so different from what we are used to for “boy bands” here.

It's not a hiatus we just don't get BTS new album anytime soon, but we still get a lot from the member solo project. And rj made a point there, one of their concern is they have been together (live together, work together) for 10 years so their individual passion feels like fading away, that's why after their 9th anniversary they decides to focus more on member solo project. Yes they've been living together for 10/13 years! They are moving apart only now as they approach their 30s... they definitely need that time to focus on their indivuduality, figure out who they are as individuals and artists the youngest joined when he was 13 so that's basically all he knows..
If you wanna see their premises and get to know their story there's a TH-cam series called the Rise of Bangtan! Quality documentary it has 23 episodes (the 23rd is being created as we speak)... I highly recommend
Once you'll understand their dynamic, their purpose, drive and their bond you understand that they are far from disbanding ✌🏾
Of course they can't share everything but they've always been very open and transparent with fans when it comes to their hardships and they truly live up to their words.. so as they said they are still BTS but the company will promote them individually for now. They are at the top but feel like they've lost themselves (their english songs don't reflect their sound and artistry), so they need to take a step back, live, love, experience to reset healthy foundations for a long-lasting BTS and basically then rejoin forces like the Avengers

thing about BTS is that no matter how easy it would be to compare them to stereotypical "boy bands" (i did the same thing, btw), once you learn more about them, you'll see what makes them so different. if you look at their massive discography (all BTS members are songwriters/producers/composers), you'll see that each member has already released solo projects within the BTS umbrella before (for their group albums), while also releasing free mixtapes for their fans via soundcloud, etc.... but they always remained loyal to "BTS". what's different this time is, trying to write for the group + solos (for personal/artistic growth), on top of all their group projects + performances/choreo, is burning them out. high demand = high expectations, and they don't want to risk quality/integrity of their work (let alone, their individual mental or physical health) as artists.
in addition to their music-related projects, BTS also share their own variety shows they do together in S. Korea (like "Run BTS") + they do a lot of print work/model (they are Louis Vuitton brand ambassadors, among other brands), commercials, travel/reality shows, etc., that they may all be expected to continue doing to some degree (hence, the much needed/deserved "break" from their typical heavy schedule of group performances/traveling together, but not disbandment). and even tho they all have their own homes now, they had lived together since they were broke teens - for about 12-13 years, up until recent. yes, they're like family to one another (they say that all the time)... but even fam needs their space lol. the members all decided together that they each needed to venture out and explore solo work (instead of mixed tapes, or singles for their group albums), in order to find inspiration and growth to bring back to the table later down the road. BTS had only taken 3 breaks to themselves throughout their 9-10 year career, going hard the entire time. and then there's the very real expectation of mandatory military service coming up (S. Korea is still, technically, at war with N. Korea). at least the eldest member, Jin, will likely have to go to enlistment by the end of this year, so realistically, now's the time for the members to do their solo projects. as a side note, BTS were allowed to postpone their mandatory enlistment due to their massive contributions to their country - both economically (in the billions, annually) and culturally. their exemption has been a hot topic for several years now and is being contemplated by their country's government. i mean, who among us peasants can handle that kind of pressure...dang!🤯 anyway, i expect that each member is going to come up with amazing solo work. BTS being BTS, they take turns with their releases to give each member time to promote their own work, respectfully. JHope is the 1st to set out, w/ his aforementioned Lollapalooza concert (July 31st)/album release (mid-July)... i know i'm looking forward to it!
I'm excited for all of them they each have their own flavor and color. So this will be such an amazing chapter 2. Chapter 3 when they come together again will be AMAZING!!!
I believe BTS will be fine. ARMY will support all 7 of them through this new stage. When they've found the answers they're searching for, BTS will rock the world all over again.

So here is what I know so far about their solo projects.
*RM - Kim Namjoon* - Working on his Album, possibly a collaboration with Snoop Dogg, and he did say he needed some time by himself to think and not have to do group writing, producing and schedules, so that he can focus on writing on his own solo work. He is one of the main songwriters for BTS. He's one of my Bias'
*JIN - Kim Seokjin* - He says that he thinks his will be the last album to be released, but he is enjoying his rest right now. He's gaming and taking some down time. But he has been working on songs.
*SUGA - Min Yoongi* - He just released a project/song with PSY called THAT, THAT - Suga wrote, produced, and featured on it, as well as danced and performed in the music video. He is working on his Album, and he has a very tight schedule. He said the reason is so when the group comes back together, he will be ready to go on tour. SUGA is a highly sought after producer and songwriter. He's my Bias Wrecker.
*J Hope - Jung Hoseok* - He is releasing his Album mid- July, and he will be headlining at Lollapalooza on July 31, 2022. He has an hour long set, and I hear that it's already sold out, but I don't know. I know there are a lot of ARMY's that are going to support him. He is one of my Bias's.
*JIMIN - Park Jimin* - He talked about working with other members of the group and that he is working on a song right now for his album. He thinks he will be releasing his Album before V. He's another Bias wrecker.
*V - Kim Taehyung* - He talked about his album, and he has a full album right now that he could release, but he is not satisfied with what he has, so he is still working on more songs. V tends to throw a song away if it doesn't seem to flow with his album. SUGA tried convincing him to just release it. We will see. I do know that he has an IN THE SOOP variety show planned with his friend group. I don't know a lot about it, but he's been talking about it.
*JUNGKOOK - Jeon Jungkook* - JK has said that he's been working on his music, we know he's been practicing drums lately, he just released a song for ARMY's for BTS FESTA 2022, called MY YOU, he wrote and produced. He's doing a collaboration with Charlie Puth, and it will be released very soon. There is a TikTok about the new song.
JK and V both went on VLive separately, at different times, and reassured ARMY's that they are not on HIATUS and they will not be disbanding. RM and JIMIN both wrote Letters to ARMY's on WEVERSE reassuring them about the same thing. RM wrote an especially long letter, because he is the group leader and did most of the talking during their FESTA Dinner, which is when they shared what they were doing as a group and on their solo projects. So this is the end of chapter 1 and chapter 2 is next. it's not the end. The best is YET TO COME. Thanks
Yes they have lived together for the last 10 years
1st. They are not disbanding. Taking time off is different in US and in Kpop world.
2nd. The Album is an anthology album so the unusual items on MV is from their older MV.
3rd. They are a all or nothing group. Its 7 or nothing on commercials, projects and stuff. And that worked for 9 years and it gives no time for any members to rest since all of then works all at the same time
4th. They used to create songs and albums individually but its not an official release as its released free for fans. Now its released as an album and can be promoted.
5th. Next week, they will release schedule details of the Military service. Jin and Suga are up first.
6th. They would still show up as a group in some performances and even on their variety show RUN BTS.
It's not a hiatus there just doing there own thing but they will be back. They do have arguments but they never get sick of each other there brothers.
if u watch their run bts episodes y will see closer how they really are w each other and yes they even say themselves they r sick of each other hahaha but they still love and care for each other which is what i think makes armys so close to them.

They said that the were not disbanding. They still have group content they are going to do they are just going to focus a bit more on their solo stuff. They explained their reasoning in their 2022 festa.. also 2 member of the group explained everything after the media blew it out of proportion. They explained that they want to continue to be BTS for a long time!!! I hope this helps you understand a bit more.

We don't know how long it will be but you need to remember that Korean men need to do military service and it last almost 2 years. Jin will be 30 in December and I don't know if it can delay the enlistment longer. But I assume they won't make music as a group for a while
they're still doing group activities together but will focus more on solo work for a while. AND ARMYS ARE VERY VERY EXCITED FOR EACH OF THE MEMBERS' SOLO PROJECTS!!! we're now planning out our strategy & preparation to chart each of the members music, and ARMYs schedule is even tighter now that the contents are 7x more than before. We only want what's best for our boys and we'll do everything we can to support them every step of the way!
No matter what this phase is called, the only fact that we know is that they won't be doing any group activities, specifically, musical performances, for the time being. They will still be doing (a few eps?) of Run BTS, their variety show - not the track - though, please do check that track out. But that's about it. Good thing about the break/hiatus/not-hiatus, is that we'll be seeing some really different music from each of the member, more bangtan appearances in various formats, and it'll be an honour to watch their growth in this second chapter.

1. They are not disbanding/going on Hiatus it was a translation error and both the company plus the members themselves have confirmed this
2. They all have solo songs already, so they are just making more solo music
RM has two mixtapes
SUGA has two mixtapes
Jhope has one mixtape and is coming up with a album in the middle of next month
And Jungkook, V, Jimin and Jin also all have solo music
They've been making solo songs since literally the time they debuted, they also do subunits and sometimes collabs with other artists.
They may be taking a break but y’all have so much to catch up on😂
They aren't disbanding. They will have members enlisting in military by December or next year. Its mandatory that men serve 2 years before they're 30. They are putting out solo albums to show their individual styles.
All of them…we’re about to be 7 individual problems for the music industry!! This just gives us more opportunity to promote their solo careers and try to get them all at Billboard Hot 100 #1’s at the same time!! Don’t get me wrong, members do have solo fans, but ARMY itself belongs to BTS and we will support each and every one of them as if it was all of them every time something is out!! Hobi drops first and we’re about blow that album and the Lalapalooza performance UP!💜😂
And let’s be real - once their military service is over and the decide to be ONE again; it’s gonna be EPIKKKKKKK!!!! But they will still be doing group stuff…they’re not gonna be ‘entirely’ solo!

Bts are incredible performers 💜 i like you guys 😊 many ARMYs already said this but they are a family, they are doing long awaited solo projects at their own pace but are still doing activities as group and close friends. They ll have a concert on October 15th
This is the last comeback as a group because they'll go to the military. They'll come back as a whole group in 2025.
