Thank you so much sir. Means a lot coming from you, and thanks for the very kind words in your last video of the Cutty Sark. Happy New year to the Mac Family.
Thank you for the great content and sharing your build, sir! I got this model as my first one and obviouly I am in way above my head - having a blast so far, though, also thanks to your shared knowledge. I have a brief question regarding the deck, if you don't mind. For me the deck seems to have quite some play / bad fitting around the sides, like gaps between deck and hull. Did you fill those with filling paste, or did you clamp or press the hull to meet the deck's shape when glueing?
You're very welcome my friend, I'm glad that you've gotten some helpful information from my videos, I'm glad you're having fun with it, I'm sure you'll be able to do it no problem as for your question, I didn't bother to fill the gaps between the deck and the hull, I probably should have, I just left the gap sand glued as much as I could wherever I could, there are pins that the deck does sit down on so I made sure to use a good strong glue in that area and weighted the deck down till it was dry, I just left the gaps there, in the end I noticed that you really don't see them but you could fill the gaps once it is all glued in I do not suggest trying to squeeze the hull, as the deck is too small for the opening.
@@BluestreekCustoms Thanks so much for the clear reply! That's good news, I was concerned the gap will be quite exposed on the final model but I will then follow your advice, too. Also, great information about weighting down the deck for glueing, as I was wondering about some lift on the deck in initial dry-fitting, too. Thanks again, so much to learn! I am looking forward to working on the model and following your video series. Kudos!

Looking good Marc! Lots of detail on these ships. Being a plastic kit means you have less to build, like the deadeyes. Thanks for sharing. 😎🇨🇦
