I truly enjoyed auditing when I was working at a nonprofit and I found several files and errors and I did an audit for a school before too!!! Ohhh snap while doing my bachelors degree I learned compliance in social sciences arena!! I’m so glad I found this, hopefully those three examples if sold right could get me in the door.

Thank you so much! I’ve been trying to get a foot in the door for something more than just Tech Support for a big tech company for a while now. I’ve always had that nagging feeling that there’s gotta be something better than this. Thanks to you, my search is more definitive. Keep up the great work! As an entrepreneur, I’m wondering if there is a way to scale this up to help more than one company at a time as a w2 employee. Not more than 3, for obvious reasons.

Thank you so much Boyd! I knew a little about GRC from my FB IT groups, but I didn't do a full dive.. I had gotten A+, Sec+, and a degree in the past, but it has seemed to be hard to even get a help desk position for whatever reason these days, even with good interviews. I wholeheartedly appreciate this though! I have some auditing experience at a warehouse for packages in terms of making sure they were cross-referenced correctly, so perhaps I can use that in the future in addition to some training I can find. Thank you for all you do! Praying nothing but the best for your success and your students success as well!

I have reviewed the requirements for several positions on linkedin and dice and they are requiring a certain level of experience that I do not have. This has been my issue with my careers in the past. For me to join the cyber security world and complete these trainings and still come up needing the experience would disappointing in which I am sure people can relate. There are no guarantees with anything however it would be nice on elaborating more on how to overcome this. In this scenario certifications does not guarantee an offer as well. I have degrees and I still struggle.

Love the videos, and I'm looking to switch into this career. Unfortunately, I have no previous experience or degree. Every job I search for though requires a bachelor degree or many years of experience. Maybe I'm just unlucky in the area I live in, but even when I search remote only jobs I see similar things.
So my question is, do I just ignore that qualification and just apply when I'm ready? Because I feel like I'll just be denied without having that degree.

I seem to continue to hit a wall. I have A+N+SEC+CYSA+Pentest+CASP and ITILv4 all these certs not to mention a Top Secret/SCI clearance. I am trying to get into Cybersecurity, but all my experience is in Military system admin. I can get an interview but when they ask me strict cybersecurity questions, I cannot answer them correctly aka I have not done that in my experience. I am also over the $90K pay scale and I would have to drop over $20K just to get into the security field. Am I missing something any suggestions on how I can make the switch and not take such a massive pay cut?

So, let s apply the get the training not the cert idea to a experiment of mine. Let s say that some bright eye high school grad decided to become a paramedic. But rather take the conventional route, he decided to get the paramedic training but doesn't get certified and decided to start applying for every paramedic job he could find. Now another candidate has a few years of being an emt and decided to become a paramedic and does things conventionally. Do you hire the recent high school grad whom knows the training but can't back it up or the emt with years under his/hers belt?

Question; in a previous video you stated you make videos for people who trying to level up their skills in the field and not for people who trying to get an entry level position. But in ALL of your videos you also stated these are ways we can get in without a college degree, no certs and no skills. Wouldn’t that look like an entry level?
