Such a talented singer/songwriter. All the EZN stuff with Donnie is terribly underrated and his solo stuff is really good. "Beautiful Things" is a fantastic album, if you're not familiar with it, definitely check it out, it's probably here on youtube.
For those that didn't notice, Donnie Vie with Alex Kane is half the Enuff Z'Nuff 1987 lineup. Kane was originally in the band from fall '86 to spring '88. He was forced out by the band's management who brought in Frigo to give the band a more 80's sound. The '87 demo's (on YT) with Kane are excellent and I actually prefer a lot of the versions with Kane on guitar, who has a more smooth, melodic style.
Hey Donnie… you are right.. your fans are divided… I knew you guys when Gino was in Enuff… after he left We backed up Gino’s band at extreme.. before those doors closed…we all knew Gino… I pretty much followed you because of your vocals.. tell me.. When Chip is singing your songs.. is he using any kind of vocal processor or harmonizer?….like the Beatles… it would be cool to see a reunion… you would double the crowd… I recently was contacted by Scott from Joker to try a startup of a Chicago power pop thing.. but I think that ship has sailed with your name on it… It was going to be a tribute band actually with me singing some of your songs…. I do love your music… Keep it up Donnie…. We all still love to play your songs.. I am currently working on a project with my Saxophonist including some of your material… He takes the solos on his Sax… he whales on Strenght….. he loves that song….a twist on some of these cover songs… hope you keep writing….✌️🎼❤️ Johnny B
Let me say that I'm a hugh EZ fan, and I love Donnie's solo work. That being said, for all the mud that gets slung at Chip over the years... the times I met them, Chip was a gentleman and so grateful for the support. Donnie, on the other hand, was absolutely horrible. The last time I saw them, he even went so far as to throw salsa on all of us in the front row. The diehards, who dragged our asses out to support hin. After that, I was glad to see him go. Totally uncalled for. Again, for all the negative shit that gets said about Chip, he is doing a fine job trying to keep the flame alive.
Vie is great. Wish him the best.
Best voice and songwriter of his era
This guy is so talented, he easily could be legit writing hits for other artists.
Beautiful Things is an incredible album and all his solo stuff from the past 10 years is great!
This guy is great. He always gives a good interview
Would love to see a show with Donnie and Vik on the drums....Wish Donnie the best!
Donnie sounds sooo much better sober! So glad he's out playing again! 🤘

Maybe Donnie can do a NEW Beatles version of "Now and Then" for the new generation.
That Chicago accent tho...
