I remember when Harvey was the best lead singer of all quartets...but I think it's time for him to hang it up....this isnt the harvey I'm used to hearing...its honestly sad watching this😔
His praise is still the same even though his voice is not, after his accident they told him he would never sing again, but God says yes, and everyone please examine yourself are you still the same in every way?..God Bless you Harvey and the Canton Spirituals, keep blessing us with your worshipping..
@Jared Beasley I agree with you, this concert brought me to tears, Harvey voice has changed and physically he has changed and not for the better, I believe as he gotten older he has let himself go, I remember this man would always be intuned with the contemporary of the day and dress sharp, he was a picture of class, And a class act, it's like he is doing it to get by a paycheck, as if there's nothing else he can do, not like before when he was singing for the joy, love and even fun for God, you would see that he really enjoyed what he was singing about, now it's like a CHORE only to get by, trying to stay relevant.... he can hardly breath, catch his breath- I'm sorry to say but He's needs a break, sit down or revamp.
@@Ulander777 i still disagree that he need to quit...Now he should let Billy & Toine do more leading yes...but his voice is due to the accident he is still thanking God for sparing his life he lost his voice¬ his life so yes continue to give GOD the praise...#cantonfanforlife! I'm aware of the car accident that he had, he has also admitted on several occasions, that he was on steroid shot because of his voice ( I don't know if he is still on it) also he said his doctor told him that he has high blood pressure and needs to lose weight, Mr. Watkins is very aware of his health issues, since he knows this it's very dangerous to over do it at his age period. He should not be on the road traveling putting a ware and tare on his body and yes his VOICE. Let this man live the rest of his days out in peace let this man retire he serve the Lord long enough in song.... Mr. Watkins also stated that he now is a deacon in his church and prays for people and his pastor has given him more responsibility. And I thought to myself well this is great he's going on with the second phase of his life, God is Good, he don't need to have the pressure anymore for his singing voice. I will never forget the Canton Spirituals inspiring uplifting great beautiful gospel music one of the greatest gospel quartets to ever live - Now it's time to retire.. period.

I've seen him preform numerous of times back in the day and earlier this year.. You kno he was in a car accident that injured his vocal cords.. but to say he's done....naw.... Look at Lee still singing thru his sickness he jus retired, so Havery got plenty more years
