1986: refused to lose to Jake The Snake Roberts after the crowd cheered to his DDT, when he was a heel.
Refused to ever face Rick Rude, too tough, brother.
Refused to lose to Curt Hennig in the 1990's Royal Rumble
Refused facing Randy Savage on Wrestlemania II and refused to lose the title to him, hence doing so to Andre.
He was supposed to have a 3 match bout with Flair when they went to WCW. Hogan stopped it after he won the first one.
I didn't know this and it blows my mind: REFUSED TO DROP THE TITLE TO BRET HART IN 1993 BECAUSE HE SAW HIM AS INFERIOR.
And I could go on with another dozen examples just on this one list I'm seeing
I couldn't leave this one out: refused to lose to Randy Orton during his "Legend Killer" gimmick. Jake Roberts, RIC FLAIR, Sgt. Slaughter, Harley Race, DUSTY RHODES and even Shawn Michaels (another notorious a-hole at least in the 90s), were fine in doing the job.
Oh, and he screwed Undertaker over by claiming he "got his neck" doing a piledriver, when he won the title on Survivor Series '91, then used that "injury" to get it back just 3 weeks later

I love this new gimmick but I hate that it probably leads to another Hook vs Jericho match. With all due respect to Taz, Hook is just so uncharismatic that it's hard to watch him, especially in any kind of segment, with mic in his hand. Kid needs to stay on ROH and develop or he will become an afterthought sooner than later.
