    First Week of RV Life as RV Newbies (CAT Scale Weight) | Burney Falls, California [USA Road Trip]
    Well, it's fair to say that first week of RV life has been awesome but full of its challenges. From our first time backing in our trailer, hitching and unhitching, hooking up the water, sewage, and electricity...there is a lot to learn!
    RV living sure does feel like having your own home on wheels that you get to bring everywhere you go. No need to unpack, just hitch up and unhitch in the next place. We also weighed our total rig setup on a CAT scale and...let's just say we were in for a pleasant surprise.
    In this vid, we drove from Lake Tahoe to the beautiful Burney Falls in Northern California. Now we're heading to the coast!

    You might want to think about getting
    Some extension mirrors for your SUV
    they just clamp on your mirrors. That will
    Help you with your backing. You will see
    More of the side an back Of trailer. An when you are backing
    In have your spotter on the left side. If they can see you in the mirror you can see them. When in doubt get out in look.
    Be safe in your travels.

    Did you know that you should take the torsion bars off the hitch when backing in to your site.you can bend your truck frame or trailers frame. When turning more than 45 degrees.it also sounds like you're trailers brakes are dragging. Good luck you have a lot to learn .I hope you keep having fun thing is not for everyone. People should start out slow. Weekends then week stays .then maybe move around for a month .lean what your rig first

    I think you guys are hilarious. Also, love the editing and sound effects you guys do especially the Karate swish sound. I'm old enough to be your father and when I grow up I want to be like you guys. Safe travels!

    Get you some better mirrors. Put your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel and turn the way you want the trailer to go. Check out KYD’s backing tip video. Nice teamwork

      Awesome man thanks for supporting!! Yea trailer life makes traveling pretty comfortable, especially with a travel trailer or fifth wheel because you can just leave it somewhere and take your car to go explore! 🤙🏽

    I'm 3 vids in and loving your journey! You earned this sub guys ;-) I also purchased a very similar travel trailer and waiting a couple more weeks for my house in Arizona to close on the sale. I will full time it with my best friend and road dog Luke, a boarder collie in a rig named "Sea Breeze". Hope to run into you guys sometime.

    hello, im first-time rv too< do you think if intsall an backup camera is helpful for parking?

    • @ONWorldTravel
      @ONWorldTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I would say it would definitely help but is not totally necessary. If you trust your driving and backing up abilities then I think you could go without one (we don't have one) but if you want to be on the safe side and are ok with the extra expense, then go for it! :)

    I really want to be a nomad the last video was great very informative, what do you recommend for off grid?

    • @ONWorldTravel
      @ONWorldTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you plan on doing more serious-type off gridding, then I would go with a 4x4 van. And if I had the money to spend I'd probably go with a Sprinter Van. "Levi Allen," "30 and a Wake Up" and "Living the Van Life" make great videos on their vans and off grid living!! Hope that helped! :)
