Thanks for the tour!!! I adore the idea of a family craft room instead of a fancy sitting room or dining room. For those lucky enough to be able to be home owners, I love looking at homes that actually get lived in.
A multi purpose craft room where you and your loved ones can work on separate crafts and still spend time together is such a wonderful idea. Also, I'm glad you refer to kallax sizes the same way I do by using the grid pattern.

(And note, while my kids are grown, we still have a ton of Brio/Thomas train stuff in the basement, and legos pretty much in every room.) The new sewing/crafting space is really gorgeous! Making it a sort of family space that doubles as a living room is such a great idea, I love it. And the mounted fabric sheers, sort of like mounted swords but Sewist Edition? Amazing. Also, oooh I get a tiny bit jealous about the fabric shelf in the back (it does however also make for inspiration for my own future sewing space - RIP my bank account).
I cannot wait to see the garments that will be made in this new space! Loads of love from Germany! 💕

If you ever decide to have the top of your table be one piece, its easy to do. Saw off a small bit of the middle sides, drill holes, fill them with glue, put dowels and join each side. Home Depot will allow two free cuts per item. Or you could saw it yourself.

That gaming table is the perfect hybrid for living and playing. I can more than empathize with the need for heat (unless it is also humid which wilts me body and soul) I am always the one who gets into the hot car and says, "love this". The crafting, sewing, embroidery, child play set up looks very efficient. LOVE the animal bag collection!
I just discovered your channel after seeing a video where you appeared on Rachel Maksy talking about wearing vintage clothing and I am totally hooked. Followed you after just watching a couple of videos. I just started delving into sewing this year although my main hobbies are polymer clay and art journaling/Mixed Media. You have my dream home, wish I had as much space as that. We live in a tiny two room flat.

A little word from Montréal (Québec, Canada), I am flabbergasted by all you produce that are practically museum quality. Are you planning to open a costume shop? You are very talented 👏.
I finally do feel guilty at having all my rooms filled up with my hobbies 😹😹😹finally someone who lives and breaths their dreams of hobbies and even managed to find a partner who shares that same lifestyle 🤗🤗🤗and turned it into a real family unit.
I am going to have to get me two gaming tables they will be perfect for two of my hobbies, painting and diamond art pictures, to be able to work on them and then to hide them away would be perfect specially the diamond art as they are huge pictures, not having to put away all of the little trays of diamonds would be huge, it takes me almost 40 minutes to setup but an hour to pack it all away again, so that would be almost 2 hours I could be using to work on the pictures.
Love the way you have it all setup you both know what you want and are living the dream. I love your hubbies cabinet I will have to get one for my hubby as he’s into miniatures as well.
That's an absolutely brilliant use of space for the whole family, I sincerely hope it works out as well as it looks like it will! We tried to do something like that in the basement but turns out after all our other hobbies there's not room for sewing down there too so my sewing is spread out over the living room (which I share with a rabbit who likes to chew things so he at least keeps me from leaving stuff within his reach, and his crate makes an acceptable cutting table) and the upstairs (fabric storage and ironing setup). I'm hoping to clear out one of our spare rooms that's still full of someone else's junk to make a sewing room, but there's a lot of work that I'm only in the mood to do occasionally so that's not progressing well at all.
That's an amazing room, and it's great that all three of you can work and play together in there all at the same time.

If you want to fix the gap in the table, you can get a biscuit cutter and some long clamps, and join the halves with biscuits and glue.

I'm envious of the dining/gaming table and the dining room.
What would have been our dining room has been my husband's art studio since he bought the house (before we even knew each other), so we have a small dining table with pull-out extending panels in the living room and have to squeeze the gamers around that (with a smaller table on top for the actual gaming o, as the entire dining table surface gets covered in character cheets, dice mats, drinks and gaming snacks... sometimes a few BJDs as well since half of our gaming group are also doll enthusiasts and most of my collection are within reach of the dining table)
Oh new (to us) houses! Never a dull moment!

Your sewing room is similar to mine. Mine is “The MPR” (multi purpose room) where my sons can hang out with me, and my husband can also work on his custom fishing rods and fly tying. Congrats on getting heat.
The space is amazing! And no word of a lie, I actually jumped when I saw the table... I just backed their recent Kickstarter for the modular table because I'm a woodworker and there's no way I could possibly match their quality... and your table is a step up from that! Very exciting. 😊
Also... I realise I may be weird here, but... any chance of seeing some of your husband's minis? That's another of my hobbies and it's always super fun to see what other people are doing.

I'm so glad you're getting settled in your excellent new space. I'm curious about the software you use for digitizing. I digitized a few things when my kids were young, but that was several years ago, and the software I used is no longer. I would love to learn about your digitizing methods.

Your husband paints miniatures? Mine does too (so do I, actually). I'm actually not a sewist at all. I knit. But I find sewing and costuming very interesting. He plays Warhammer and D&D and we paint miniatures for all of that. And board games. I'm also a dice collector.
