What I like is how they focused on the sin of greed for the possible king. In other shonen series it's usually wrath or pride that led to kinghood.

the panels of iruma eating in this chapter had me terrified, I never knew that Iruma's 'eating addiction' is the biggest sign of him becoming the next demon king
Tbh...i felt like the manga gives a really "dark vibes" compared to the anime that gives "bright vibes"..

And it felt so different when i read the manga....it felt like...really...or maybe a bit darker than i ever imagine it will be than the anime...but i still love both
I will be honest, I only found out about this show because I need something to fill between slime series. But it grew in me even though the show felt a bit too bright for an underworld themed show. Soul eater is the best example.

He definitely a human yet some how had connections between the Netherland...as we seen the last scene when iruma still in human world ,sudden the time stopped while he almost got hit by a frozen tuna ...THAT'S MEANS SULLIVAN TAKE IRUMA BY THE TIME THAT IRUMA 'DIED '(ACTUALLY IN ANOTHER WORLD) OR DISAPPEARED AND OTHER CAN CONFIRM THAT HE WAS GONE .
● Sullivan MAYBE lied about the adoption or maybe he been told by the long lost devil king that's iruma is the chosen one? 😅

I mean if the other two become Demon King the end result is rebellion and social destruction. The one with rules means he is going to be a dictator. The one with the strong at the top and weak at the bottom will create even more problems due to the flawed way of thinking.

My theory is that The demon king got stuck in the ring and lost his powers and memories in episode 8 in season 2 ali san said that the royal one is a comforting place. It seems like he kinda goes to that place a while ago 🙄

I guess it's a good thing that the question didn't really matter, because I agree that Iruma's answer was not as thoughtful as the first two candidates (even though both the two other candidates' answers are messed up despite being demons).
As for the *real* test being the observations of the meal-eating, it's hard to measure out. No point system, no letter system, not even a decision on which one is at the bottom or top. With that being said, leaving Iruma for last was very telling. Even Baal, the secret head of the 6 Fingers, looked impressed - as well as constraining his mortification.
