Advice from a postgraduate Masters student, try not to stress too much in 1st year! It is important to pass the work and everyone wants to do their best but 1st year is all about finding your feet and enjoying uni, don’t put too much pressure on yourself to do a million things in 1st year when realistically, you can afford not to. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t do every bit of reading and every extracurricular activity in 1st year. Uni is the best thing and it’ll be over in a flash so make the most of it 🤩
Future tip: tomatoes will be usually okay to eat even if they've gone softer. You can taste and if they aren't as fresh as you like, you can still cook with them, make a simple tomato sauce and freeze it in batches in ice cube trays to use for pasta dishes or any dish you want. x

Hahaha you did get your books for super cheap. At my uni it would usually cost you that much for just ONE textbook sometimes even more. I once paid $230 for one of my textbooks which would be about 115 pounds textbooks are not cheap at uni !

£85 for 5 textbooks is so cheap lol...every textbook I have is £80+ and I need multiple for each module edit: I know you got it second hand, but for my modules second hand books still cost at least £20-30+ (on a lucky day). There are usually 2 textbooks per module, 4 modules per term so I can easily pay £150+. 1 further note: I'm in year 3 uni and I'd suggest starting modules before buying textbooks. Sometimes you can get by without textbooks easily (such as statistics or maths-related modules).
@@ariari81472 libraries never have enough copies for a few hundred students per module. At my uni you can only take the book out for 2 hours at a time since there are so many students.
Please keep telling me about what management is because when it comes to 'management', it always sound like many disciplinary putting inside, so it's hard to define. Thanks.
