Great place - this shows the reality as all too often you see edits of people flying down and don't get to see the features. My son and I go fairly regularly. We were there last Sunday and it was saturated (and I had contaminated brakes). Saying that El Hippo is wet, even in the longest dry periods, and is the most underrated trail at Dyfi. The park definitely gets more gnarly every time we go. For first-timers, it must be pretty intimidating. Would love to have seen how you went on Race Track. Definitely the best trail there, and (just about) all rollable.
It put me off going for a long time as every time I watched a video it was of people absolutely flying down there and going massive off the jumps, turns out us normal folk can just about survive there 😜 I really enjoy el hippo (apart from the huge jumps) We wanted to have a bash at Racetrack but the slippery rocks on other trails just put us off. Gonna give it a go for sure, hopefully next time 🤞
@@OfftheTopMTB You'll be fine on the top half of Race Track in the wet. and just head onto the motorway. It's a fantastic trail. The bottom section in the wet is a very different experience though...
"im just gonna wait for the crazy c%nts to go by" had me in stitches 🤣 17:17 section looked amazing!
Haha wondered if anyone would hear that as forgot to edit it out 😂😂
@@OfftheTopMTB It was just the way he stopped and pulled you to one side, I thought it was gonna be something important 😂
Yea to be honest I thought he had a problem with his bike, but no, just the " crazy C***s" behind us.
one hell of a place wet or dry.. love it there.
I enjoyed it much more in the dry but one hell of a bike park...A big step up from the rest 👍

This was one of my very first bike parks I went to and it would take me about 30 minutes to get to the bottom 😂
Did you enjoy it though ? That's the main thing.
