It was painful to watch this as a ski instructor 😂 Couples - if you want your relationship to continue as it was, you really should employ a professional! It may be expensive, but it’s worth it.
I also found it painfil and I am not an instructor. Have done 50ish ski hols in the alps .and take a guide for off piste so shudder to add up total cost of all that . I will not be saying on my death bed " wish i had not spent all that money on these fantastic ski holiday." Looks like you had a good time but next time get instruction or bad habits will creep in and iy is a lot harder to get rid of them later.
First day in the mountain crying after having a few falls. Having an argument about selling all my stuff and going home. £160 2 hour private lesson later throughly enjoyed my week 😂
Total respect to Kelsey. To pick things up as quick as she did with no instruction is commendable. Glad the relationship survived. Thanks for the Video. Kelsey's video footage 'Pizza, Pizza, Pizza' was really entertaining. Glad you still want to ski again. We have not skied for over 35 years, so it was great to watch. More videos from the world of Kelsey please. Take care.
Thank you so much, I was pretty proud of myself 😅 wow, where did you go skiing? I definitely let my true self show by having the go pro attached to me 😂 thanks for watching!
Good luck to you both. Don't matter how good you are at skiing, it's all about the laughter. And being crap at skiing and falling over loads usually means more laughter 😊
Good job Ash !!! One future tip for you both. Dont buckle in the clips, just the velcro straps when walking long from hotel to chairlift. It will give more room to flex and comfortable to walk with. Only buckle them when you are about to go on the slopes. Have fun !!!!
I think she did great on her first ski trip (that happy happy joy joy excitement was fun to watch!) and you did well with keeping it simple in the beginning. Sure as hell beats my first time on skis. My friends: "YOU wanted to come along without lessons, so it's YOUR problem now. So here it goes: this is the top of the mountain, this is the bottom, you ski from top to bottom. Go." And then every time I eventually caught up with my friends, they would ski on. I have never been so tired and sore my entire life. Loved it though :)
Thank you! She picked it up pretty quickly! Hopefully we’ll go again for longer next time cause we had so much fun 😅 my friends would have been the same 😂 at least you enjoyed!
I've been downhill skiing since season 2009-10 (learned in Scotland where I live - not for the faint-hearted! If you can ski in Scotland, you can ski anywhere!) Went to Białka Tatrzańska in the season 2010-11 - my second season, and it was my first ski holiday abroad. Since then, I've skied almost every season, in many places in the Alps and Pyrenees. I just wanted to comment I was very impressed with Kelsey picking up some skiing incredibly quickly, and literally with no instruction whatsoever (sorry Ashley). I thoroughly recommend to continue skiing - I'm absolutely in love with it, and I learned from scratch as an adult! But yes - to echo many other comments - please, please hire a professional instructor next time!

Quite impressed that Kels did so well - the can do attitude was key. However a little instruction would be a good investment even if it means Kels was on the correct slope for the amount of pressure she could add in "Pizza". Looks a well chosen resort for a first ski trip. Hi guys, great video-blog. I think, knowing the way the YT algorithm works, that you may have attracted some of the skiing fraternity over here, and the reason why you are getting some lectures in the comments. If you guys are planning on more ski adventures then yes definitely get some lessons - I still get lessons as an advanced intermediate skier - but if not then that's ok. You both did great, especially Kelsey. Just ignore the haters!
Guys i randomly bumped into your YT channel and i have to make maybe my third comment on the YT ever. Kelsey well done! People need days to get down the simplest slopes without falling or having a mental breakdown, well done! I have been in professional ski racing for two decades and I am working as a ski coach now. I just hope this gets my commends on your skiing in higher note then you were expecting. Also have to agree with some comments here, you need an instructor for the next time and really soon you will have an amazing days skiing trough the Europe and the rest of the World.
Try Bjursås in Sweden. Similar prices. Smaller resort but less people with good range of slopes. Everyone speaks English, flights from stansted during season.:-(

I fall down so many times, that my thighs very completely blue because of bruises. And at the end of the day a said to my friends that I hate them so much because they persuaded me to go alpine skiing, but the other day I saw how other skiers go down and tryed to repeat after them, understood how ski physics works and I made it. £30 a day for the ski pass,
£40 a night for the hotel (there were cheaper and more expensive options)

£18 per day for skis, poles, boots, helmet, gloves, ski trousers.

And you could do night skiing for £20 but we didn’t 😁
These are pretty modest slopes to be honest. No wonder it's a cheapest place.
Cheap but quality is poor . Better is spend 15% more and ski on spindleruv or Bansko if you looking cheaper ski holiday 😉
We’ve heard Bulgaria is meant to be quite cheap and good for beginners/ intermediate! Maybe next time 😅
Bansko lift queue is horrendous. One gondola lift up, crazy , 1-2 hours , would never go again .
Bansko lifts are a joke. Seems in Bansko they are more concerned in selling apartments for an already crowded place to ski. It’s not cheap now either.
Also if the snow cover is poor you have to queue for an hour to get up on the tired lift system an then if the road run is closed due to bad snow fall one has again to queue up again to get down the mountain. Just facts there an yes never again.
