      That's why we do what we do. We love watching the videos back and it gives us such great memories of the little things that we would forget otherwise. We are very fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to do this and cherish it everyday ❤️

    One of the great things about your channel is how much you see and do. So many others do exactly the same things in Sydney, then drive to Brisbane and stop at Byron Bay along the way and nothing else. You guys take your time and go everywhere, as a local, you've been to a few places I've never been. South West Rocks was where my Grandfather retired and I haven't been up there for more than 20 years since he died, good to see it again. Enjoy the journey !!!

      We loved south west rocks - it was really nice. I don’t think there is much point in doing it if you are rushing around - part of the fun is to try and relax and take it all in. Thanks for Watching, hope it gave you some good memories 👍

      My parents (and their parents before them) have been going to South West Rocks since the 60s, and got to know a lot of the town back in the days where it was small. There's a good chance my family knew your Grandfather.

    Have been visiting South West Rocks since I was a little kid, and have watched the place go from a tiny country town to a tourist hotspot. Inevitable, given the beauty of the area, but also a little sad. My only regret is that my parents didn't buy land up there when they had the chance. Any land down near back creek around the caravan park, or near the trial bay oil tanks was practically being given away back then.

    • @JasonandJordan
      @JasonandJordan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We really loved it there and were really glad we went - I'm sure a lot of these beautiful places on the coast are in the same situation. How often do you visit the area?

    When you guys said that you were near Urunga and didnt know if you could make it to Coffs Harbour in a day I was a bit confused as its probably only about 35kms. Didnt know you were heading all the way out to Dorrigo ( pronounced Dor i go not Dor ee go) the Waterfall Way is a really nice drive but that climb is not good when towing a caravan so we wouldnt normally go that way crossing from the coast.. Good decision you may as well go all the way around and complete your lap rather than only part of the way. I hope that you have enough time to look at things properly it took us a few months last year to get right around and I reckon that it was far too quick - enjoy your trip.

    • @JasonandJordan
      @JasonandJordan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha yeah it was pretty far out actually. Thanks for the pronunciation we always get it wrong 😂. Yeah the drive was amazing but we did struggle at times to get above 40kph so can't imagine what it would be like towing as well. Yeah we are hoping we can do it by the end of November but if we need more time we can do that. Only thing will be money really but hope we can make it

      @@JasonandJordan here is a suggestion on a route for your lap from Cairns that will give you a different taste of the outback. Take the Gillies Hwy from Gordonvale up to the Atherton Tablelands via Yungaburra. when your finished on the Tableland take the Savannah Way to Normanton in the Gulf stay at Mt Surprise on your way in the Bedrock caravan park. They do day trips to the Undana Lava tubes and Volcanic National Park which is really worth seeing, They also reckon that they make the best vanilla slices and wood fired pizzas in Australia and who is goin to argue with them way out there. When you get to Normanton drive 40kms out to Karumba and stay either in town or preferrably out at the point try and get on the sunset croc cruise, From Normanton take the development road down to Cloncurry its all tarred with a couple of short one lane sections but you just have to move over when passing people going in the opposite direction - thats not very often. you can stay at the Bourke and Wills Roadhouse halfway. From Cloncurry go through Mt Isa, Coomaweal then the Barkley Hwy over to the 3 Ways in the Territory the BarkleyTable Lands Roadhouse is a great place to spend a night. We came across the Barkley 2 weeks ago coming back from Uluru the road was a little damaged in some places due to flooding but nothing too bad and it should be fixed by the time that you guys get there. You think Dorrigo was a challenge wait till you hit the Gillies but as you arent towing a van you will do it easily and the views alone are worth it. I just suggested a route not everything that you can see and do on the way that would be pages long. Taking the road from Townsville/Charters Tower/ Cloncurry is also good but going back to Townsville from Cairns means some back tracking and that road is a completely different experience than going via the Gulf country.

    Whoo hoo !!!! Congrats on your decision! Hmmm, I'm thinking if you are going to do a BIG lap. Won't that take you near Cairns anyway - it's only 432k's from Townsville? Surely you'll go up there and turn left? - although you really should turn left at Townsville, is that what you will do? Townsville is quite nice. I lived there for 5 years. Check out North Ward, Pallarenda, Magnetic Island, Mt. Stuart and walk as much of the Ross River walk as you can all the way to Condon, or Rasmussen. If you do it on the University side, you can always cross over on one of the weir walls !!! 😢 If you do go to Mt. Stuart, go early in the morning about 5am and you see kangaroos on the side of the road. When you leave Townsville you'll get to Charters Towers...Stop for fuel. The road to Mt Isa is another 1000ks. (although there is fuel on the way, so don't panic). Will you try to do the Cape - (Cape York)?

    • @JasonandJordan
      @JasonandJordan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah we will still go to Cairns and turn left 😂 maybe could have explained that better haha, we will add all this to a list and have a look when we plan some more. Oh wow that's a long way. We have heard mixed things about Cape York so still trying to decide on that one, although we have already done the most southern point & easterly point of Australia so would be nice to tick that off to

      aaawh, Thank you so much ❤. That's a very good question, I'm sure it must just covert it, from GBP to AUD so for £5 it may charge you $A9 ish. I'm Not really to sure on that one
