I know this post was 5 years ago, I wanted to let everyone know. Mia secret chrome powder does not go with gelish top coat. It turned to glittery silver instead of chrome. I have done this before with modelones top coat and it turned out perfect. Just wanted everyone to know. Thank you , yours was perfect.
Haven't played with these yet, but so happy that I actually HAVE everything I need to do this! I just need to sit down and play one day when I'm not working. lol (I'm an ER nurse) LOVING your videos and so excited about this new hobby of mine!

I've done similar on actual watercolor with alcohol, salt, and a hairdryer. Never once thought about nails though. This is super pretty!
So cool I just ordered my mirror powder off the link you provided..much better price! I cant wait to experiment with it. I have watched a lot of vids on this stuff and you can use it with regular polish as well and I have some color shifting polishes that are just wild and can't wait to try it with that. LED lamps are actually super affordable, not all of them are huge (mine is Jamberry, and it's the same size as my mini heater... like maybe 6 by 4 inches?) super worth it, because it saves so much time! right hand fingers, left hand fingers, both thumbs together, done! my stomach ties up in knots everytime I see you use that little flashlight for a full mani 😂 ok, going to watch the rest of the video now, because these nails are seriously GORGEOUS!!

Besides the fact that I absolutely love this technique, I have to say I love your cat and you picked an absolutely fantastic name most people don't even know who Azrael is! I am going to use this technique to make cabochons for jewelry. I already do another version where I use a Precision applicator and alcohol ink and instead of dabbing the inks with a brush I actually put the alcohol in an atomizer spray bottle and it gives it a really great effect!
I bought a uv lamp like the 2nd pic u showed for only $14 and I've had it for 2years now going on 3 and it's perfect! No need to buy a $50-up lamp, the $14 one works like a charm👍🏽😁

there's definitely a difference w/ a second layer. I did some experiments with chrome nails and I found adding a second layer makes it ultra metallic
