    I love you Robin! God bless you for doing this for cancer! My sister is a breast cancer survivor, and my daddy died of long cancer. Thank you so much. I love this tutorial. Been doing this method for over 20 years too, but your designs are stunning!

      Its good to have your 1st coat really nice but thin so you have a good cuticle line. Then the 2nd coat is thicker and quicknso you can swirl it. The trick is taking the excess off quick with your finger at an angle. Its a technique but once you get it, it gets way easier! Good luck! Xoxo

    Ahh, another beautiful marble. Juicy's long nails must be like a perfect canvas. I have been practicing on the extra nail tips I have...you know, the ones that never fit anyone. Is there like, a perfect temp or humidity level that it should be when I try this because I think the elements are against me out here in the desert. 😔

    • @robinmosesnailart
      @robinmosesnailart  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      yes.................thin base...use thin polish to do fast swirls ...medium thin to swirl MOST and dont attempt thick polish until you have mastered thin and medium....and then begin to really feel the design...when you get it down....drop down some thicker polishes and boom...you got it!

    I’m so glad someone made a video of the old-school way to do it to get the same desired outcome. These new techniques are great.
    But we’ve been doing this for 30 years and people make it harder than it really is.
    It’s really simple and some of these older techniques are extremely easy and they allow you more creativity.
    Thank you for the video because every time I see these new techniques I think, “oh that’s nice you know, but you really can do it this way or that way which makes it a lot easier and you can come out with the same outcome.

      I love this and am so sorry I missed it. TH-cam is changing and so maybe that is why it made it easier. I agree completely and for anyone who is reading this, this woman knows the truth! You do not need all of these extra materials and products. It makes it harder, more expensive, and more likely that you will not succeed at this craft. Please spread this word more than anything else! I love you girl, thank you for writing this. I wish I would have seen it sooner

    I am so loving these videos on long nails. Thank you for sharing! The plastic bag technique doesn't quite work on long nails though. longer nails tend to curve more, the plastic bag technique is not "curve friendly" if that makes sense. it's literally like trying to wrap a ball.
    It just doesn't work well with long nails.
    great video! Keep them coming. 😄

      I follow an amazing group called "Omaze," not sure if you've heard of them, but they collaborate with a *lot* of people who care about us, the human race! All causes, from all sorts of individuals to agencies, non-profits etc, I don't work for them so I can't say specifically about what or who. But I do know they are wonderful people doing wondrous things!
      I am subscribing to your channel as soon as I heard you said the words *cancer* & *charity*. Love how you go step by step, taking the time to explain everything. I'm an amateur at best, learning the ropes for my daughters who have certain diagnoses that these types of anti-stress activities really help.
      Thank you again!

    robin, i want to apologize to you for he last tutorial of the easy red rose nails. i by no means meant that all your rose designs were the same, because clearly they are not. i wanted to just say that your rose technique is the same, which i was finally able to master.all of your flowers including your roses are tuly amazing. never that one stroke painting. i flubbed my words & am sorry. as for this water marbling, of course these look gorgeous & once again you nailed the colors. did you do "juicy's " long nails? it's good to see nail designs on longer nails again. Great job & have a wonderful week. shaunna

    • @robinmosesnailart
      @robinmosesnailart  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      shaunna! i have no idea what was said but in no way was i offended at all!!!! what i notice...over these last years is that text is so often misread in tone. my tone sometimes is sarcastic, especially when mentioning one stroke painting. here is why: back in the old days, the darlings were all doing one stroke and selling books for 150+ each. they were rude, incredibly stuck up and didnt help anyone. I KNEW i didnt want that. I wanted to share what a fun rose would be and a fun lilly, etc. so, if my tone got misunderstood it is truly me who is sorry because you are one of my favorite viewers but...........here is why i love you....you say it outloud and i can answer so everyone can learn....everyone can see and read these and learn the stories behind some of the designs. in NO WAY will i be offended. i promise that. if i find a post might be offensive to someone.........i just delete and block that person and it will always be people who are just crude. i love spicy women. LOL *huge hug*

    Absolutely a beautiful design. I'm pretty artistic, but I'm flopping miserably at doing this. Maybe it is the product? Do you let the nude color dry first. That wasn't clear. When I tried this with Gel nail polish, when I brushed the design the strokes completely removed the original base color even after it dried. What am I doing wrong? Does the type of nail polish matter when doing these designs? I'm using Sally Hanen Gels. I was trying this on my big toe - a bit more challenging due to lack of space. Also, what brush are you using? Thank you, Robin!

      Same, I can’t paint my nail for nothing. It always come out too thick and I always end up hitting them on something or touching them by mistake before they’re dry😩

    Gorgeous design, how long would that take to dry? 4 coats of polish then a top coat to seal it. I've tried ice water, quick dry oil drops but it takes forever for just 3 coats to dry much less 5 😮

    Can I use regular polish and use a light cured gel top coat? I find gels difficult to work with for designs like this as they are so thick. I’m not a professional.

    I don't know why I can't get this down. There's nothing else I can't do, if I watch the video, I can get it. But there's no videos that show the basic technique. Everyone shows their designs. And how they do those designs. But I mean the actual way to get the technique mastered. How hard or soft to press into the polish. Some use a brush, or a toothpick. Some a needle. I've even seen one with a single hair. But it doesn't matter what I use. It ends up messing up the polish underneath, no matter how soft I pull into the drag. Help.

    Robin I hear you speaking on the oil and the brushes.. can we do that with any of our brushes... (acrylic brushes). I has so many that have dried out. I just replace them because I really dont like how they look when I pull them out the boxes

    Very pretty, I am so confused as to how you do that part of the pulling off the extra? I am in aww as to how it seems to work so well and maybe it is because I have never seen anyone do that before and I have never tried to do that before but I honestly don't even think I would be able to do it lol I like you videos and I have just subscribed and I can see by all the comments you have good videos and do beautiful nail design...I am new to watching nail designs and gel and acrylic nails etc.. I am mainly looking for easy designs to start off but I am surely going to keep watching yours and I am going to check out some of your others now :)

    How do you prevent little bubbles occurring in the dried polish? When I put polish on thick like this it always dries with imperfections. 😟

    You are so awesome! I don't see how you do all you do on the fly like you do. So much talent and innovation! Don't ever worry about what everyone else is doing! Your way is so much better! I wish I had one third of your talent and skill! So artistic! I am so jealous and so envious.

    Love your designs but you can use less polish & not have to worry about the pulling. My nail guy does it, no pulling necessary.

    These are beautiful. Do you put blobs of polish on a palette and then do you clean the brush off. Because you touch the other colours and you wouldn't want to put it back in the bottle.
